What do you like best about ReadyTech?

ReadyTech is a great tool for remote learning with an instructor. It allows for a lab session to be used as well as a 'classroom' demo screen. The students have the ability to choose reactions to the lessons, send public or private chats, and even share screens. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReadyTech?

I really wish ReadyTech had an onscreen pen markup section that allowed the 'drawing' to remain on the screen while clicking with the mouse. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ReadyTech?

We have been using ReadyTech for almost a decade now and we have had a wonderful experience so far. Our operations , lab support, resource managers, instructors .. all find it very easy to use. Our end customers attending our training find it easy and convinient. The AXIS portal , the self paced portal, the Virtual Classroom , Lab manager all features have been developed keeping instructors and student convinience in mind. We are running our all our courses on RT platform, spinning labs for atleast 20-25 different courses for more than 200 plus students each week. RT has datacenters across the world making it easy to select the geographical locations to deploy the labs. The RT support is also fantastic and promtly handles our instructor queries. What do you dislike about ReadyTech?

Some times they add features , which cause a bit of odd situation example - the password feature.

"A useful tool for online training"

What do you like best about ReadyTech?

One of the best features is the ability to see what students are doing on virtual machines, and the ability to take control of the machine. If, for instance, you are teaching them how to do something, but they get stuck, it's easy to take control and show them on their screen. Also, the ability to customize the virtual machines to have the software we need is really important.

And, the fact that ReadyTech is completely in the browser is really important. Customers don't need to install any software before joining a training.

ReadyTech allows us to use only one solution instead of multiple ones. Some competitors, for instance, had a really good solution for sharing one's screen, but you'd need a separate solution for an online meeting at the same time, and so on. With ReadyTech, we have a proper online meeting that can then be a training and a presentation and so on. No third-party software is needed.

I have to also say that ReadyTech support is really reliable and fast, even in Europe. One time I had technical issues and contacted the support, and they started helping me right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReadyTech?

The user interface is a little boring. If people turn on their cameras, you see only a tiny frame of their face. It looks like the UI is made mainly by engineers. The virtual machines are somewhat laggy, but not too bad, so people get used to it after a while during the training. Over all some competitor solutions definitely look better, but I'm not sure if they work better. Looks can be deceiving.

ReadyTech is relatively easy to use but still needs some learning before taking off properly.

Also, it would be best if you dedicated someone to keeping everything up-to-date. Managing the virtual machines, making sure they have the latest software that you need, and the latest files for your presentations, and so on.

Finally, sometimes there are technical issues with the sound or with the virtual machines, in which cases it is a lot to manage for one teacher. It may be better to take two instructors to your training, to be able to solve technical problems on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ReadyTech:

I would advise everyone who is considering ReadyTech to try it if possible. Once you get over the initial phase of learning how to use ReadyTech, it is an effective tool for arranging online training. Some things take a little time to get used to, as is the case with any software, but we haven't found another solution that would deliver all the features and be a viable solution business-wise. What problems is ReadyTech solving and how is that benefiting you?

ReadyTech allows me to arrange virtual training as effectively as in-class training. The ability to simultaneously do presentations, demo software and also see what students are doing on their virtual machines allows me to give professional training.

We can plan our training by creating the training beforehand, and for each activity, we can upload the material specific to that training to the virtual machine image. So, you can have several default pieces of training, which you can easily then create on specific dates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ReadyTech?

The best thing about ReadyTech is the customer support. I feel like they are easy to reach, always real people, happy to make adjustments and forgiving if you make errors. We also really like the customization available to use throughout the platform. Lastly, I like the tracking and data collection that is available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReadyTech?

Due to it being a virtual environment, there are technical glitches and some advanced requirements for participants. I find this adds extra work to get set up and users introduced to the platform, but I don't think that is outside of the normal. It is incredibly easy to use once setup. ReadyTech is providing our students an environment where every tool they need is already set up and ready to go. It provides and ease of set up and ease of access so that less time is spent preparing to learn. What do you like best about ReadyTech?

ReadyTech has truly partnered with our company to provide a top-rate virutal lab experience for our customers. The team works with us to provide the best solution for any given training scenario, no matter how out of the ordinary. Our business is very distributed around the world and ReadyTech's regional data centers all but eliminates any network-induced latency. The ReadyTech support team is 24/7 ready to help with any user-related or image-related issue, with nearly all issues resolved with one support contact session. What do you dislike about ReadyTech?

It is not necessarily the least expensive option available, and costs can easily run up. However they are very transparent about costs and it just comes with any 3rd party service. What problems is ReadyTech solving and how is that benefiting you?

Anyone can throw up a server and provide an VM-environment for training use. ReadyTech adds tremendous value by providing an easy-to-use student and instructor front end. The ReadyTech environment is fully supported 24/7 and regionally distributed. What do you like best about ReadyTech?

There are several features that I really like and have been very helpful with my training classes. These include File Transfer from My VM to attendee VMs. But I am really finding the new Transfers Local to VM option to be very benefical. I can see an option for VM to Local, but it is currenlty not available. I am really looking formward to this feature, especially when I use the VMs for client facing project work. What do you dislike about ReadyTech?

The Zoom and screen drawing tool are somewhat useful, but they are very limited. I would love to be able to draw on screen and keep the drawing and still continue to use the VM.
