**What do you like best about Privy?**

It used to be a user friendly platform before its most recent update.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

Updates that impact templates and no notification provided to its users.  An update was done and I lost so much of my work.  My templates that I worked very hard to make, now useless according to a customer service representative.  They advised me to create brand new templates.  Unacceptable response.  I will be seeking email services elsewhere.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At this time, it's created more problems for me with this product update that they recently made.  Why fix something if it's not broken?  Now I'm behind and playing catch up and having to create brand new templates from scratch because of this inconvenience.

**What do you like best about Privy?**

The customization and functionality are impressive for an app of this cost.  You can handle pretty much anything a larger customer contact platform can do, but all within the Shopify dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

There are a couple of extra customizable features I would like to see, such as adding a custom font on a newsletter.

**Recommendations to others considering Privy:**

Don't spend money on the big platforms.  You can do everything you need in privy with the help of the tech support team.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Recently implemented a workflow to have customers who redeem the discount on the signup to get an email to further register with our site.  An issue weve had for years.

**What do you like best about Privy?**

I started out using Privy for my pop-up to capture leads in multiple ways. Then decided to use them for email marketing. We set up automations, cart abadonement campaigns and weekly email campaigns.They have great customer service and sales support to assist in building out automations, if you want or need the help. I would highly recommend Privy!

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

The only downside to Privy is the reporting. I wish there was more detailed reporting, especially when you want to dial in on what your email subs are clicking on, so you can deliver more of what they are interested in.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Privy is enabling businesses to move leads down the funnel. What started off as a basic lead capture service has turned into a full service platform to capture, nurture and convert your leads!

Not only is the customer service amazing, but the increase in email signups and open rates is incredible! I love having a CSM to help me every step of the way.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

The Privy team is always working to fix little bugs here and there, but what service doesn't have small issues here and there? The important thing is they work hard to fix them ASAP!

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Privy has helped my daily email sign ups go from an average of 30 per day, to over 200 per day! My open rates have increased and I feel like I have the full support of the entire team whenever I need it, unlike all the other email service providers.

**What do you like best about Privy?**

Privy is easy to navigate and create newsletters to send out to our customer base. Privy text has been easy to use as well, it's a fast way to send out messages to those who have signed up for text! Customer support is always helpful when I am having an issue, they respond fairly fast and get the job done. I like that there are ways to segment my emails as well, especially when I wanted to resend out a sale reminder, but didn't want to include those that have purchased in the last few days.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

I wish there were more creative and professional-looking template options for newsletters, they look very amateurish.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have almost 4,000 people on our marketing list. We love that we can send out sale newsletters/notifications and we have a spike in sales on our eCommerce store. It's free marketing, money that we aren't throwing at Facebook.

**What do you like best about Privy?**

Privy is a great tool for any business to have! My favorite things within the platform would be:

1. How easy it is to make updates
2. Their very helpful and attentive team
3. QBRs are THE BEST!

They know how to support you, make suggestions, and help set you up for success.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

I have not found to much not to like! I would say that if anything, have a more organized dashboard would be great, but outside of some minor organizational platform changes that meets our needs.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Privy is helping us target our customers, and is working with us to solve for international expansion! As we start to target customers clumped into the EU it is great to have country insights for a better understanding of our subscibers.

Privy remains easy to use but does not let its ease of use keep it from being able to accomplish everything and more we expect from its promises.

If I had to find something to dislike, it would be the layout, it takes a little bit to get adjusted to, but once you've adjusted, it all makes sense.

Privy is helping us build up our email marketing list, this is benefitting us by allowing us to open up an entire sales channel we previously underutilized.

**What do you like best about Privy?**

Newsletter campaigns and the ability to create aesthetic pop-ups on your website shop. I like to use the column tools in the newsletter edits to add text and images to create compelling emails.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

The price depends on which subscription you choose and how many email sign-ups you have, so the bigger your brand grows, the cost does as well. That might be the only thing I dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering Privy:**

Start with the trial. Guarantee you'll love it.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving my email list problem that I had prior to Privy. I was using mailchimp, but was not able to customize it as much as I could now with Privy. It's an amazing tool to have.

I love the templates and how helpful customer service is.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

I feel like sometimes it can get a little confusing when setting up campaigns. It would be very helpful to have a how-to video tutorial to pop up on the task you would like to complete. Some of us are a little more challenged than others.
I also do not like that every time I create an email I have to add my social handles. It would be nice to have the automatically suggested like the Facebook one.

**Recommendations to others considering Privy:**

Privy has everything you need to help your business grow. Customer service is great and always helpful. I love how they have templates available for you to customize and send an email for marketing. You don't have to worry about the layout they take care of it all. I can't do without them.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When social media isn't working Privy comes to the rescue with email marketing. I'm now ready to try and enroll in text marketing as well.

It's very easy to create pop-ups, banners and other marketing elements. I can have any team member create them in minutes.

So many tools to choose from.. sometimes it takes a moment to find just the right one for the promotion we're running.

We were losing a lot of web site visitors. Now with an exit pop-up we're capturing a high percentage of people we would never have before.

**What do you like best about Privy?**

I use Klaviyo for email marketing and Privy for email capture and notifications on our website. They look good both on mobile and desktop. I can quickly build custom forms that trigger based on a website visitor's behavior. Bonus: They have excellent customer service.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

Limited reporting. I have to manually export data on a monthly basis to analyze how our email capture forms are performing.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use them for their website popups. 
- Create easy custom popups very quickly. They have a bunch of templates you can choose from. 
- Easy a/b testing
- I've tested a couple of different email capture forms and saw a lift when using the spin-to-win template. 
- I've also had success with their abandon cart popup as well 
- Can have popups that show based on how people are entering your website
- You can also exclude popups from appearing based on where people are coming from. For example, I suppress the welcome popup if you visit our website by clicking on one of our marketing emails.

**What do you like best about Privy?**

The template setup is easy to use and personalized with colors to fit the email theme! The automation is also great because I don't have to send emails every time manually. Popups automatically capture customer emails and get sign-ups.. easy to close the window if they choose to decline.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

I had SOME minor issues when setting up coupons in emails. This process could be a little easier, although I get the tracking purposes behind sending customers different and unique codes. (You can turn this off! That was my minor issue)

Do it! You won't regret it! Privy has helped me emails look professional and timely for my customers.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Privy has solved Customer retention problems and come-back numbers. Before Privy, almost no one was on my email list, and a deficient number of those even looked at the emails. Now at least half of the emails are opened every time they are sent!

We utilize Privy's special technology for their pop-ups and email/SMS capture. It has been the best way for our business to capture contact information from our customers - way better than shopify's native capture or even klaviyo's capture.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

I do not dislike anything about Privy. We primarily utilize Privy for their pop-ups and abandoned cart emails, but do not utilize much of the rest of their suite.

Email capture / SMS capture / Abandoned Cart - Privy does all of these better than anyone that we have attempted to use in the past. They are great at what they do!

We have loved our transition to Privy- it has replaced 2 other softwares we used to use for marketing- saving us hundreds of dollars and making us thousands in return- literally. The onboarding makes it easy to understand and use.

So far, the segmentation of customers. We are B2B and B2C and it's hard for privy to pick up which type of customer it is. But we've worked around by using privy for general marketing and not pricing or product-specific promotions

**What do you like best about Privy?**

While social media is big, the reach on social media to get to my customers can be incredibly difficult unless I am paying to boost posts. Being able to email my customers who've signed up for newsletters directly with promos or updatres is HUGE and helps increase my income. Since I started using Privy, my sales have gone up far beyond what I had expected. In addition, it doesn't cost much. I don't use all the features, but I replaced my Shopify Cart Saver with the Privy one, and I like it way better. It's so much more personalized. I also use a welcome discount pop-up, but by far, the newsletters are my most significant use.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

The only thing is the ease of use when editing or creating new items, mainly the pop-ups. I have a hard time navigating the edit features of the actual pop-up itself, but overall, I have pretty much figured it out now. 

To be frank, my dislikes are far, far, far less of a big deal. I'm pretty happy overall.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to reach my customers quickly with promos via email is the *best* possible solution I have come across and I am so very very happy. Reaching these customers has increased my revenue, which is the idea.

**What do you like best about Privy?**

I've struggled to get subscribed email customers and abandon cart recovery for years. After signing up for a monthly plan, my onboarding rep developed and reviewed a beginner setup along with resources to dig deeper. After turning these features on, I began to see results immediately. I am seeing my customer list grow, and conversions are trending up. I've even recovered an abandoned cart which had been years since that has happened. I am very pleased with Privy and my decision to sign on for services beyond the free plan.

Some technical suggestions took me a while to set up, but they were important and beneficial, and the support team guided me through how to complete them.

**Recommendations to others considering Privy:**

Prepare for the onboarding session. take notes, review the recording. Put the basic setup into place and turn on recommended features

Email signups, abandoned carts, low conversions are all trending upward now.  I am financially benefitting from the product and business performance has increased.

The open-ended nature of the platform lets us customize our on-site displays not only to drive conversion but to alert customers to changes, closures, and anything we need to communicate.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

It would be nice if the connection with BigCommerce were a little more full-fledged (parity with Shopify).

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Privy lets us grow our lists, but also allows us to explore different offers with easy and instant A/B testing results. This allows us to see what offers drive conversion, and where we can afford to hold back.

I love how easy it is to set up, is very professional, and works efficiently. Besides, they send you updates and ways to improve your site by using its features.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

I am still learning how to use all its features since I am a non-tech person, but so far is a good app. I have not been able to find any dislikes yet. Will keep working with it. I would love to have though the option of asking for reviews in the email campaign for recurring customers, I have not been able to find this feature yet.

It is a great app, you won't regret adding it to your site.

I have the paid version and it has been a great option instead of using a landing page for my site. I will start working on using the email marketing but still learning how to do it.

nothing- When I first used Privy, I signed up for the free version- After using it for 30 days, I switched to a monthly payment plan since it was so beneficial.

Performs multiple tasks for a relatively low monthly cost(you can start with a free program as I did & then trade up)

I like how easy it is to use because I am not a genius when it comes to functions and features that are needed to survive and thrive online in 2022 and beyond.

I have yet to actually see a downside. I guess when I have not logged in for a while I sturggle to navigate but I think thats just the learning curve anything would have.

Do it and use Privy team to help you set everything up and you just can't go wrong.

Capturing email and phone numbers to communicate with my followers more regularly. Following up with abandoned cart emails and new customer discounts resulting in more sales and more profit.

I love how it helps me automate my email marketing. When new people sign up for my popups they are automatically put into my welcome email sequence, which warms them up and often leads them to ordering!
The Newsletters are a great way to keep in touch with my customers, and remind them of any sales or updates on the brand!

So far I am really liking it!!No problems thus far

The pop up functionality is better than any I've seen! The ability to design and target pop ups is great, as well as the cart saver features and the fact it captures abandoned carts earlier than any other pop up

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

I don't like how they haven't integrated fully with Recharge and subscription discounts. The in-Privy discount creation is pretty basic! Also we stopped using email with them because the unsubscribe button wasn't working and we had a lot of annoyed subscribers who kept receiving our emails. They weren't able to resolve this so we moved to Klaviyo

Growing our email list is key to our overall marketing strategy. Privy allows us to do this effectively by monitoring the performance of different campaigns and optimising them

The app has been pretty easy to use thus far. So far its been amazing. Everything makes you feel like a pro. Anything you don't know how to do or use its easy to find the answers online. Overall 5/5

If we can get to customize all the take action and the opt in box has lot of details. so couldn't use that.

Privy tools are quiet good but what I like most is all the help you recieve to implement and get the most out of them. The learnimg center and article are awesome.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

The User interface of the app is not the absolute best. But with a little patience tasks can be done just fine, and the results on increased revenue make it worth it.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My shop save more abandoned carts with email follow up. Just tweaking one of the templates and a little setup we get up and running. Follow the Privy team advise every step and boom! More sales :)

Privy is easy to use without much experience. Their customer service is what sets them apart. They are not just an email marketing platform but they have so many cart saving campaigns that make the platform even better. Highly recommend privy over mailchimp any day!

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

I'm not sure that we dislike anything. Maybe it would be nice to be able to customize pop ups, cart saving campaigns and emails even further to truly represent each brands identity.

Cart saving campaigns, abandoned carts, communication with our audience and customers especially with how uncertain DTC has been for our small brand. The benefit of having a real human and rep you can speak with and problem solve together has been key.

It's very easy to use. They send emails to me that are very very helpful too. Their tips are the only emails I look forward to on a regular basis.
They also set up free meetings with you to set up or optimize your campaigns

It can get a bit pricy if you have a large list but it's worth it if you get regular sales.

I use the welcome emails, thank you emails and the cart recovery are the best. Their cart recovery works better than the Shopify default one.

The different pop-up and email features are excellent tools for growing my mailable customer list, and I love how abandoned cart and follow-up emails send automatically with no action needed from me. The pop-up discount has already generated over $2k of revenue for me.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

The tool for creating the pop-ups isn't the most user friendly, and more fonts and styles would  be an improvement to further customize how it looks. More options for post-purchase emailing would also be nice.

Take advantage of their free workshops and 1-on-1 sessions.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Privy has allowed us to get more customers to come back and leave product reviews, with a 3 week post-purchase email going out to invite them to come back and leave a review. Growing our mailable customer list is a huge benefit as well which has in turn generated more sales.

**What do you like best about Privy?**

Privy offers seamless integration with our Shopify store. It was easy to install and the services it offers - email pop-up, free shipping bar, and the email sequences like cart saver emails, welcome series, abandoned cart, customer winback, etc. are comprehensive. Each of these has a value-add benefit to our store, helping us to connect deeper with our prospects and customers. 

In addition, the Privy team is accessible for questions and problem solving. Quick, friendly help is greatly appreciated!

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

It would be great if there were established campaign flows - for example, a welcome series of three emails that flow one to the other at a user-defined interval. Right now, we have to create two separate email campaigns and time them separately. It would just be more convenient if there was a flow structure available.

**What problems is Privy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to build our email list from zero. Privy gave us the tools to capture emails easily. Also the dynamic free shipping bar clearly has impacted our average order value, as virtually all orders are above the threshold needed to get free shipping.

I create all my newsletters on Privy.  It is straightforward to use and is extremely professional-looking.  My customers can shop directly from the newsletter. The delivery and engagement reports are helpful.  I also use the abandoned cart email- which has made me quite a few sales!

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

I had a problem with my discount codes.  One says 15% off, and one says 10% off, and I can't figure out how to resolve the issue.

It is worth the money!

Privy is helping me make sales which is my goal! A lot of customers come to my website and place one of my pieces in their cart and do not complete the sale.  The abandoned cart feature helped me convert some of these to sales.

Privy is really simple and easy to use! It takes no time at all to integrate and walks you through how to create different types of email marketing campaigns. Privy's support is also second to none - one of their team gets back to you promptly and won't stop communicating with you until the issue is solved! 

I would highly recommend to anyone running an e-commerce store.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

I would like the ability to send more general emails with different automation workflows. I know Shopify has some of their own email sequences for things such as order dispatched etc. But I would ideally like them all to come from the same source and be in the exact same format.

(privy may already have this functionality; I am just currently unaware).

Customer follow-up and win-backs.
The ability to collect potential customer emails through popups
Enable us to send cool, slick blogs and newsletters!

The options. They have many templates. Email and SMS combined. It's simple to find what pop up your looking for. To customize it the way you want to and they offer to send thank you emails once someone signs up. Every other app I found its complicated or everything is separate.

I haven't actually found a downside yet and I've been using for 2-3 months now. I'll update a review once I find something I dislike about this app. But I highly doubt that I will.

Do it! That it. Just do it. It's amazing. You won't regret it.

It has massively helped us with our marketing and our email success as well as campaign success. We mainly use the newsletter feature as well as the exit intent, which is really useful.

The support at the beginning wasn't hugely there; we had a little help, but it was one session, and we never heard from our 'account' person afterward apart from to increase our subscription.

Massively has helped us with our email success, more emails now are received into the inbox instead of spam, and we're receiving more orders through this and the aid of the pop-up feature :)  It has really helped us with our marketing and expanding the business; we have grown enormously since we started using Privy, which is AMAZING!!

We like the clear layout and performance metrics of our email campaigns and the dynamic and much-used email collector, the discount wheel has proved to be very effective.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

There isn't too much to dislike though I can see Privi moving into the territory of Klavio. Privi has a cleaner framework (in my opinion) than Klavio though the email could be more robust still. 

I would also like to see a larger variety of email collection options, the wheel is good though I'm looking at more interesting options in the future.

The collation of emails in a more interesting way. Seeing what customers from that collection system then goes on to make a purchase. We have a long way to go to be using Privy and Klavio together to get the full benefit.

I like the ease of use for doing the things that are necessary for my business to succeed. I also like the data tracking it has, as I'm definitely a data person.

**What do you dislike about Privy?**

The only complaint I have about the app is that I can't schedule an exact time for a newsletter to send. I have product releases that are supposed to release at a particular time, and privy only allows scheduling for "around" a time. So if privy sends the email out 5 minutes early(which has happened), customers rush to the site to buy the new product, but it isn't live yet. I could schedule it for a later time, but then miss out on sales as other places would have already sent an email blast by then, and the customer may buy from competitors instead.

I am improving customer retention and capturing sales that the customer would have otherwise abandoned due to abandoned carts. Privy helps to track things like that as well and helps me see areas that I can improve.

The only thing that I complain about Privy is the pricing. Compared to Klaviyo, another platform we have used is a little bit pricier while they offer pretty much the same marketing services.

Do it! It's free to try up until a certain point and once you get to that point you'll see that Privy is truly an asset to business.

I am bridging the disconnect I was experiencing with my customers before. I had used other email marketing platforms before but Privy has my best interest in mind. I can easily see how my campaigns are performing. I can easily capture leads with them without having to go through a third party on Shopify.
