**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos V. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Planyard?**

It´s an easy-to-use software and provides a clear control of your budget and linking to Xero will allow your accounting to be synchronized with the projects.
With recent developments and improved features, it´s easy now to place purchase orders, valuations and manage subcontractors.
The invoices upload and approval are accurate and intuitive and as soon as approved the documents are automatically sent to Xero.
The Fizure team has been quite remarkable in listening to and improving the product in near real-time in response to feedback from myself and the entire team involved. Super helpful and qualified support team.

**What do you dislike about Planyard?**

The consolidation of information, namely the costs invoiced and incurred could be better, but it seems that improving this functionality is already on its roadmap.

**What problems is Planyard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduce time managing the works and avoid repetitive tasks.
With Planyard, the Project Managers could improve the management of our projects and we were able in real time to involve the entire team around the projects and make the most accurate decisions.

  ### 5. Planyard user experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Henry K. | Construction director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2022

**What do you like best about Planyard?**

The biggest advantage of Planyard is that it helped me move away from excel! Manually updating excel tables for project cost control is time consuming and also error prone. Using Planyard greatly simplifies the whole process saving time and energy that is best used elsewhere.

**What do you dislike about Planyard?**

As Planyard is a relatively new product it will take some time and effort to get the whole supply chain used to using it.

**What problems is Planyard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Main benefits of using Plnayard are trackability of costs and less errors made inserting data.

  ### 6. Ditch Excel and simplify your budget management and book-keeping for construction projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian H. | Company Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Planyard?**

Super helpful and responsive support staff who are the actual developers, not a call centre worker reading from a script.
Planyard takes away a lot of the headaches from manual data entry and keeping spreadsheets up to date. Gives a clear and easy visual display of your construction budgets and links to xero so your bookkeeping is in sync with your spending and your budget.

**What do you dislike about Planyard?**

There have been a few niggles over time with functionality and usage, but the Planyard team have been quite remarkable at listening and improving the product almost in real-time in response to feedback from myself and others. As the product evolves it becomes better and better suited to the task in hand and is now an essential part of our workflow.

**What problems is Planyard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Planyard has become and invaluable tool to keep on top of budgets, book-keeping and accounting. It also has the capacity to grow with us, having plenty of features that we do not use at the moment, but will clearly be beneficial as we increase the size and scale of our operations.

  ### 7. Easy to get started and easy to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lea S. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Planyard?**

Very userfriendly! Almost no training needed to get started.
Supplier cost tracking is simplified massively.

**What do you dislike about Planyard?**

Just getting started in the Swiss market so we sometimes need to get some labels adjusted.

**What problems is Planyard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was impossible to easily track costs against the budget. We now have this info clearly available at all times.

  ### 8. Excellent Construction Costing Software - makes your life easier!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul H. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Planyard?**

Its very user friendly so you can learn the software quickly. It makes your life easier quickly.

**What do you dislike about Planyard?**

That I didn't find it sooner! Some of the terminology was confusing but this has been updated now. And there is a detailed explanation attached to every box within the software. The support team are also very willing to help if you have any queries.

**Recommendations to others considering Planyard:**

Give it a go and save your business the cost of employing more surveyors!

**What problems is Planyard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its automated so it significantly reduces data entry. It eliminates many potential errors, for example that you would get on Excel. The data is accessible real time to aid cost control and decision making. Expensive QS's/PM's can focus on value added activities rather than filling out spreadsheets. If a QS leaves, the data is there and it's easy for a new QS to take over. Eliminates estimating errors. Better & quicker cost control and sign off of variations from clients. It keeps being updated with new useful features.

  ### 9. Planyard is a great leap forward in my everyday work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siim T. | Construction Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Planyard?**

I save 3 workdays a month (15% of my work time). One part is time-saving, but another part is stress - I don't need to follow in detail that every invoice would get copied on Excel, that nothing would be entered twice, nothing gets lost, or that there wouldn't be a calculation error. It's especially important as there are constantly new priorities coming up for a project manager and it's hard to find time for focusing and doing manual budget tracking.

Planyard UI is quite user-friendly. It just took a couple of hours to learn the main functionality.

**What do you dislike about Planyard?**

----------------------------------------

**What problems is Planyard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The management can at any point in time get a real-time overview of projects' financial performance. There is no delay in synchronization - which means that the problems get visualized when they happen and not one month later. It's much less risky to make mistakes with comma separators or just by typing numbers. There is much less room for error and misinterpretation when using specific software.

  ### 10. Easy-to-use tool for project managers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gert T. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Planyard?**

It’s easy to use. It takes me just two clicks to send cost documents to Fizure through their Outlook add-on and I can deal with them further whenever I have time.
All the documents and data are now in one place. I don’t have to use a complicated system of folders or print anything out. Plus contracts, progress reports, costs etc. are linked together with line-items and subcontractors, so, can always see what’s behind the numbers.
It has simplified things for site engineers as well - they can upload invoices and receipts from their phone and comment what the cost was about. It will be linked to the right line-item and I can then approve it for payment. No more back and forth emails to find out what was behind the cost.
The subcontractors save time as well. They don’t have to send separate files to me. Progress reports, invoices and extra works are all managed through Fizure. Without them having to even create an account.

**What do you dislike about Planyard?**

It’s a minor thing and maybe not relevant for others but it would be nice if Fizure could sort contracts by their name.

**What problems is Planyard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit is not having to deal with folders and separate files that might get lost somewhere. Everything is kept in one place.

This gives a real-time overview of the budget. I can see what’s behind a line-item - which contract is connected to it, how much of the job has been done and paid etc. The numbers are always up to date as every uploaded cost, contract or progress report modifies the budget as well.

  ### 11. Project financials made easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank M. | Business Owner - Interior Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Planyard?**

Planyard covers our whole workflow from estimation over bid requests to progress reports. As interior architects in the project market we have been searching a long time for such a solution.

**What do you dislike about Planyard?**

We are also in need of a tool for specifications sheets. Seems like they are going to develop this, that would be great.

**What problems is Planyard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a good way to keep track of your construction project financials

  ### 12. A big leap forward in budget management and job costing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tarvi J. | Executive Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Planyard?**

As a construction manager, I’m mostly interested in the profitability of projects and cash-flow. Fizure gives me a clear overview of every project - what are the costs for a given project, what’s the income and what’s the profitability forecast. It’s possible to even see how it has changed over time.

Before Fizure project managers had to put forecasts and overviews together manually in Excel once per month, which was time-consuming. Now I don’t even have to ask them - I have 24-7 access to that data as Fizure is cloud-based and always up-to-date.

We’ve also managed to standardize progress reporting & billing. The line-items in the budget are automatically linked to contracts and extra works are managed through the system as well. This means that it’s not possible for subcontractors to make mistakes (knowingly or not) when sending us progress reports and invoices through the system.

Every decision and action gets logged. So, it's always possible to see what exactly got agreed on and how things have changed over time.

**What do you dislike about Planyard?**

When we started there were some edge cases that needed fixing in order to make it fit for our needs. These were solved by Fizure as they popped up according to their priority. The support is very responsive, they seem to genuinely care about improving the product.

**Recommendations to others considering Planyard:**

Fizure has developed into a solid and reliable product. It’s a great solution if you’re looking for a way to bring all the data together around job costing and avoid duplication of work.

Their sales and support people will help you work out how exactly to implement it best for your organization.

**What problems is Planyard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Essentially we are standardizing our processes in budget tracking and progress reporting.

Putting all those pieces together has saved us a lot of time as well - especially when it comes to project managers. Once the budget has been estimated, most of the data entry is done during progress reporting by subcontractors. All the data in the system gets reused and is interlinked. There’s no triple work anymore or trying to guess where a piece of data is or how to interpret it.

  ### 13. User-friendly software for forecasting profitability and job costing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Planyard?**

We had to allocate several days each month in order to work with Excel. Now we're doing things on the fly - costs get processed when and where they occur.
One huge benefit is that all the cost documents now contain all the relevant info - cost codes, project info etc. That's a big win for the project manager but also for accounting as they don’t have to chase that information anymore - this data is provided through an automatic integration instead.
We have won in time and efficiency with Fizure but maybe even the biggest win has been on our nerves - we don't need to make extra clicks or deal with illogical user experience anymore.
It has also reduced errors - it's not possible to make miscalculations in the budget anymore.

**What do you dislike about Planyard?**

Only one thing comes to mind - income tracking could maybe be automated more in order to forecast cash-flow more accurately.

**What problems is Planyard solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to know before a project finished whether we were going to make a profit or not. Fizure has allowed us to do that. We can see exactly which jobs are profitable and which ones are not and can make changes on the go.

We also re-use data. For example, we are using historical data across projects for estimations to know what the actual cost will be for a given job or material.
