**What do you like best about Pega Platform?**

Its very powerful, the adaption to latest technologies is amazing, Customization, integrations, blueprint , AI, Decisioning.. nothing left out. It is into everything. No other BPM tool is as powerful as Pega.

**What do you dislike about Pega Platform?**

It evolves in different areas, I think if it concentrate in one area like pega Robotics is another tool - which is very likely to use in any industry. And licensing cost is high compared to other products in market. Pega has diff components but every thing is expensive.

**What problems is Pega Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have different experiences with pega I worked in financial sector projects, Government projects . We used to integrate with other systems and process the cases. We used in customer onboarding, Customer Due diligence checks, Finical crime using pega CLM KYC

Pega is very helpful and quick and easy in many ways. It is easy configurable, I've been working with pega since pega 5 - I see it grow very much and the features it provide, the areas it grow into - I would definetly recommend pega

It is growing in different areas like decisioning, AI, LLM Robotic framework - I would say rather concentrate on one area which will help business

We monitor txns using application develped in pega. Pega is used in many ares in my organization like CDD, Retail, W&R, Onboarding, Reporting suspicious txns, Account closures etc..

**What do you like best about Pega Platform?**

It’s less a development tool and more an industrial software manufacturing plant. Pega feels burdensome, dogmatic, and relentlessly process-logical, and it isn’t particularly tolerant of deviation. If you’re looking to build a fast prototype, you’ve come to the wrong place. 

In my view, it’s best used for company orchestration where the cost of failure is very high. It also makes sense when you need to handle complex decisioning logic across legacy systems. If all you need is a simple data-entry application, you should look elsewhere.

**What do you dislike about Pega Platform?**

The customization of the UI in the Cosmos system of design is infuriatingly strict. Although the common structure makes upgrading compatible, attempting to make the display pixel-for-pixel and customized to the consumer's appearance means battling the structure. You are frequently forced to accept poor interfaces in lieu of what your design team really wanted.

**What problems is Pega Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrated a fragmented customer retention process among three different old CRM systems. We used the platform to separate the complexity of the backend so that the agents can see one case. This cut the average call handling time on call retentions by almost two-fifths in the first quarter.

**What do you like best about Pega Platform?**

I can create a user interface without software developers. I can easily integrate our accounting and eCommerce integration software with Pega. I can easily send data to and from Pega using their API. I like the AI formula creator. I only wrote about 30 lines of code on our side. I like the onboarding process. Tim has been very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Pega Platform?**

I wish Pega would introduce an app store. I feel many companies could use a systems integrator with Pega.

**What problems is Pega Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Relying on my developers to create software, build a UI, write business logic and deploy on Microsoft Azure. I built an analytics tool and it cost over $150,000 and it took 9 - 12 months to code. The cost and time to write software from scratch is too long. I could have probably built most features in Pega in 3 - 4 months.

“What I dislike about the Pega Platform is that some parts of the UI  feel outdated, and performance can slow down if the app isn’t optimized well. Basically, it’s powerful, but it sometimes takes more effort than it should.”

Pega helps me automate and streamline processes that were previously manual and messy. It brings everything into a single workflow, reduces errors, and saves a ton of time. Overall, it makes the whole operation more efficient and easier to manage.

I find it incredibly versatile and user-friendly, it offers powerful tools for streamlining processes and enhancing productivity. Hence, this can also be used by non programming people as it is easier to learn rather than using tradional programming in building applications.

But on the other side, I've noticed that the learning curve for some of the more advanced features, will take time to master. Also there is a limitation in terms of documentation.

It is  very difficult to change the code if there is any issue persists

Mainly pega solves the problem of writing the code as everything is no code here i.e., no code to be registered, and ui type of fields need to be fragged, and dropped code work will be taken care of by Pega itself, and it is saving time of the developer by not writing the 100's of lines of code

**What do you like best about Pega Platform?**

The software can be learnt even by business leaders and participate in the development process. 
Pega has made everything accessible from the App Studio to minimize code writing and build as it is in the real world using drag and drop design visual design methodology.

**What do you dislike about Pega Platform?**

Pega does have a plan to onboard clients beyond top 500 Fortune companies. However, currently Pega is only viable for top 500 companies. 
My dislikes are :-
1) Too focused on BPM and neglecting CRM
2) Steep cost which means adoption is low
3) Learning curve for implementation of complex requirements
4) Low Count of Lead System Architects
5) Hard to learn and upskill beyond basics due to lack of content on internet

**What problems is Pega Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pega is the Go To Platform if there is a relatively complex business process and need to be modelled in minimum amount of time. Pega also provides consultancy services through their dedicated Consulting team.

Lately, they have integrated Generative AI into 8.8 version which is going to be very useful in adhering to the best practices in the Pega World.

We have been using Pega platform to help automate the finance operations and reduce the time-consuming manual activities and processes. We found it easy to monitor the RPA execution and the consolidated data reports that it presents gives clear insights.

Pega's filtering capabilities on custom dashboards is very limited, the custom search results can be improved. It is also a bit complex to setup.

Kind of low code plateform for developing the business process workflow and capturing the complex business process flow. A good platform for application developement and it has interactive visual builder and drag and drop feature.

The best thing about pega platform is it is beneficial to all level of developers from juniors to senior engineers. With right set of application knowledge one can easily develop full stack application with very minimal code and that too very quickly.

This software is really helpful for customer service. If a customer needs help or has a question, we can immediately help them with cobrowsing. It is safe as well and you don't need to download anything.

I haven't found anything I dislike about the software so far.

Instead of customers having to reach out and be frustrated with their problem. we can fix it before the customer starts getting frustrated. The software is fully secure, so we don't have to worry about information being stolen.

Out of the box features of case flows, reporting, sla, openspan bot, integrations with most of the cloud applications like DocuSign, AWS services etc ..
One click mobile app conversion.

Lack of good ui, customisation is an issue, cost and producing is on thehigher side .
Pega support is not that refined.

Can solve a lot of use cases for business....but need diligence in deciding where to use it.

The upcoming requirements can simply be developed easily and a well developed product can be delivered to the customer in no time.

The pega platform as a whole is competing with the popular used tool like Salesforce which is very popular among the industry people.
Also occasionally documentation issues were faced by our team while developing an application in the new version.
Few functionalities were not fully supported than the previous versions.

**What do you like best about Pega Platform?**

Nowadays Pega is promoting low-code development through App Studio, which helps citizen and professional developers to create an application quickly. Constantly Pega has been implementing new technologies to become a more strong BPM tool in the market. Pega has come with new concept like DX API, Cosmos in the newer version of the Pega 8.x. There are few other rules which increase the performance and productivity of our development like  Data Flow, Job Scheduler and Queue Processor and so on.


The best feature of the Pega is Case Management which helps business users, citizen and professional developers to capture a high-level requirement and work together to create a case life cycle. They can create an application in a short span of time and can progress the development through agile methodolgy. 

The best thing Pega has introduced a Component and Component application after Pega 7.2. It helps to use as a plug and play application (built on application concept) in one or more applications based on the business requirements & specialization.

**What do you dislike about Pega Platform?**

Course contents are very lengthy. They should explain course content in details with the help of images and videos.

I have been solving all business problems like Reporting issue and background processing and data migration from legacy systems to newly-built applications and application slowness. I also go through application logs and use monitoring tools (like AES and PDC) to see the alerts and errors in the log and fix those issue in the Pega to improve the application performance.

It promotes reusability i.e. you need not configure things from scratch.
Pega is a low code app builder that allows you to design and deploy applications faster than traditional approaches; you need not be a coding expert, but you can still use this platform. I love it because of its time efficiency, easy customer dealing, and business process management. Report management provided by the Pega platform is one of its best features.

I used Pega Claims Management while working for North Carolina Medicaid. My job was to handle any pega claims hung up in the system for errors and and any claims pending that were past their adjudication date. I liked that this system allowed me to keep track of any claims that came in, and was easy to filter out any issues.

My use of Pega Claims Management was brief and didn't have too many errors or hang ups.

With Pega Claims, our job was to solve any hospital claims pending in the system for timely filing or any claims that presented errors. Most errors were on the provider end and could be cleared by going into the system and pushing them through.

- No native integration with Big Query or Snowflake for CDH
- Reporting engine is using the same engine with UI

I am a pega developer and I can say it's friendly, there are tons of out of the box features which make the development much easier and faster, I also like the adaptability of the system towards the Business logic. also  the organized way the code is stored and not only that but the implementation of deep unit testing makes the applications really robust and bullet proof. the interface is very clean and graphics are very modern and make the software look fancy and friendly. one of the top benefits that can see as a developer is the reusability of already configured properties and functions, that allow you save huge amounts of resources and effort.

environment can become slow at some points, but overall I think the area of opportunity for pega will be the way it gets compiled in different browser versions, we have found some issues in regards of older versions displaying bad sections or even displaying error messages, since some of the companies are just merging to new systems like pega, compatibility should be taking into consideration as an enhancement.

My recommendation would be that I do consider pega as one of the best solutions in the market, and if you are just curious of learning how to develop on pega, the certifications available are of great value.
