# What is the highest-rated Employee Referral software demonstrating measurable cost-per-hire reduction outcomes for recruiters?

"Highest-rated" and "measurable cost-per-hire reduction" are actually two different claims, and it's worth checking whether they refer to the same product before answering this question about employee referral software.

What we're hoping to find:

A star rating backed by enough review volume to trust the pattern

A specific, quantified cost-per-hire figure, not a vague efficiency claim

Evidence that the reduction is measured against a real baseline, not just vendor-reported

Here's how a few platforms line up:

ERIN: 4.6 stars across 810 reviews, the largest sample in the category, with built-in ROI reporting giving recruiters visibility into bonus spend against actual hire outcomes.

Boon: 4.7 stars, with a specific vendor-reported figure of up to 40% savings per hire, a concrete number worth testing against your own baseline before treating it as guaranteed.

Staffing Referrals: 4.9 stars, the highest rating in the category, though on a smaller review sample than ERIN's.

The rating and the cost claim don't necessarily point to the same product once you weigh sample size against the actual number. Which mattered more to your evaluation: the star rating, or the specific dollar figure a vendor put in front of you?

Same honest caveat as the referral-cost question: G2's employee referral category is mostly recruiting suites with a referral module, not referral-only platforms, so a clean "highest-rated for measurable cost-per-hire reduction" ranking is hard to pull straight from reviews. The well-rated recruiting tools here that include referral features are Spark Hire and Hireology, with Workable also solid. To be real though, no software "demonstrates" cost-per-hire reduction on its own, that's something you measure from your own funnel, so I'd ask any vendor to show exactly what referral reporting and cost-per-hire tracking they provide, and whether it ties source to hire cleanly. Then baseline your current cost-per-hire before you start so you can actually prove the delta. Are you trying to prove ROI to leadership, or just pick the tool? That changes what reporting matters most.
