My biggest frustration is the card freezing without any prior notification. This has severely disrupted my ability to use it for necessary medical and veterinary expenses. The process to resolve this is painfully inefficient; even after providing all verification documents swiftly, my card remained frozen for over five days instead of the promised 24 hours. This situation is exacerbated by very poor customer service, as they failed to process my documentation on time, leaving me unable to access funds when needed. Moreover, communications from customer service are lacking in urgency and concern, which is appalling given how crucial access to funds is during medical situations. Additionally, I find the initial setup of Paytient challenging and not user-friendly at all. Overall, my experience with Paytient has been overwhelmingly negative, to the point where I can't recommend it to anyone. **What problems is Paytient solving and how is that benefiting you?** None ### 2. It is easy for employees to use and HR to manage through the online portal. We get an email reminder each pay period where we can download a report that can be uploaded into our Payroll system to capture their deductions. After that, we confirm the deductions on the portal so the account balances are updated. That is it, so easy! Our account manager Sarah is also very responsive and helpful with anything we need. In the few instances where any employee has faced issues with their Paytient card, Sarah has helped us resolve the problem quickly and seamlessly. **What do you dislike about Paytient?** I truly cannot think of anything that I dislike about Paytient. If we were a larger company, I think setting up a file feed would be helpful. Currently, we do a census upload once per month, adding new employees and removing terminated employees. This may need to be handled more frequently for a larger company. For reference, we have just over 350 employees. **What problems is Paytient solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paytient allows us a simple way to help employees when they are facing unexpected medical bills. In HR, we often hear these concerns and have no way to help the employee out. Paytient gives the employee a way to pay the bills and get the care they need. ### 4. We love using it for unexpected vet bills and we used it when my husband had a heart attack to get all his medications for when he got out of the hospital. **What do you dislike about Paytient?** They are still growing so it is a super simple service and sometimes getting the payments through takes a few days to affect your balance after you get past your direct deposit date. **What problems is Paytient solving and how is that benefiting you?** Paytient is allowing customers maybe that don't have upfront funds or have exhausted their HSA to pay for needed medical expenses right now and have it paid over time out of pocket. ### 5. As someone who has worried about paying for expensive prescriptions and medical equipment, Paytient offers me peace of mind that my wallet isn't going to take a huge hit at once, and I won't be left paying interest for having to use a credit card to cover my costs. There was virtually no set up time - my card came in the mail and I was able to use it at my next visit seemlessly. I also still can't get over that I'm able to use this for vet costs - you know our pets' visits always cost more than your anticipating! **What do you dislike about Paytient?** I haven't come across any issues with Paytient yet in about a year of use. It's helped me more than I thought, and ensured I got the supplies I needed when I needed them, without stressing me financially. **Recommendations to others considering Paytient:** Use it! It seems weird and too good to work the way it's described, but it does. It provides financial help to everyone for their health cares and you can pay the bills later with your payment methods or payroll deducted plans. It provides virtual and physical Visa card which users can swipe at hospitals for their medicine, dental, vision expenses. As soon as you will use this for your medical expense it will give you notification with transaction details which you can check from the dashboard. You can split the transaction into an easy payroll-deducted payment plan over the time you choose upto 12 months or any other payment method. It doesn't take any interest, fees for usage. Companies provide their employees with credit limit for their medical expense without any charges. The system defaults to a low amount, and I wish I could just set my default to be 12 months and then if I wanted to change it to less payments, then I could do that.
