"Essential for Data-Driven Resource Planning"
What do you like best about Parallax?

I find Parallax incredibly easy to use, which significantly streamlines my workflow. The integrations with platforms like Hubspot and Harvest are seamless, allowing me to leverage the tools our team already uses without any extra hassle. The incredible support from the team behind Parallax, especially from Madison during the onboarding process, made transitioning to this platform effortless. Huge shoutout to Susan, who is always available to resolve any issues, whether big or small. I love the smart technology in Parallax, which is superbly augmented by real human support, making it feel like the tech is truly powered by an awesome team of people. Additionally, I appreciate how Parallax allows me to manage resource planning and forecasting without needing to manually input new sales leads, utilizing pre-made templates for quick project shaping and informing the sales team. This efficiency boost is something I didn't experience with our previous platform, Harvest Forecast app, which lacked the comprehensive data that Parallax provides. What do you dislike about Parallax?

I am eager to see the AI integration to support our daily operations, which is currently missing. I would appreciate having a Ctrl+Z feature to undo actions, and a version history feature would be beneficial for tracking changes. Additionally, I would like the calendar functionality to allow moving time both forward and backward, not just forward. It's important for me to set a monthly retainer budget and track it on a monthly overview as opposed to just by the project's duration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"From chaos to clarity: A true game-changer for agency operations"
What do you like best about Parallax?

Parallax has become our operational backbone. It finally gave us a single source of truth for forecasting, utilization, and financial planning. Our account leads can see in real time how their staffing plans connect to margins and revenue targets, and our leadership team can scenario plan with actual data instead of spreadsheets and guesswork. The implementation and on process was thoughtful, the customer success team is super responsive, which made adoption easier than expected. It’s also flexible enough to grow with us as we shift into a pod-based model, which has been critical for managing shared resources across teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parallax?

There’s still some friction when trying to pull advanced analytics directly in-platform like multi-scenario comparisons often need to be built outside of Parallax. I’d love to see deeper customization of reports and a simpler way to roll up data across pods or business units.

Additionally, the financial models can feel rigid at times if the way you do budget management doesn't exactly align with Parallax's definitions (e.g. we calculate burn from billable rates, not blended rates). We're keen to see more flexibility in how overhead and blended rates are handled, and better visibility into project-level profitability based on the way a lot of agencies do budget management. "Organizing our data so we can make good decisions"
What do you like best about Parallax?

Removing all that manual and duplicated work we had to perform, not only saving time, but lowering risks of errors when working with our data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parallax?

I don't see a downside yet, but we decided not to use the timesheet tool due to it's good integration with Harvest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Pragmatic and wise element within our planning structure"
What do you like best about Parallax?

Before Parallax I used to draft my planning with Spreadsheets, the problem with this approach is not matter what you'll always end up doing manual allocations that not only tend to have error but also tend to get outdated as you update other fields.

With Parallax you can always be at ease that every time you update the planning for a team member it'll always update its department. Not only in terms of hours or time as a resource but also to make and have accurate financial projections.

It has been easy to deploy within the organisation, allowing team leads to have more control in their structure and its team, therefore this translates into a more frequent usage as the insights info embedded help to make more smart decisions, therefore, more growth for the company.

As we use Harvest and Hubspot, ease of integration is key for us , thankfully parallax integrates with these two and syncs perfectly with boths platforms in an easy and fast way, so you don't have to worry about coding or troubleshooting to have it up and running.

In terms of support, in a positive way we haven't had to use it much as it flows very well, however in those scenarios where we have a doubt a reach costumer service, we always have a prompt and helpful response, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parallax?

I wouldn't call downsides, but It'll be great to have some sort of mobile version to check all the info on the way.

It'll be great also if to have some sort of suggestions like given the history an user suggest allocations (time / budget) for that person.

Nothing major, but it'll be great in the future! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Getting Us Organized!"
What do you like best about Parallax?

The Design

I like the smart design of the product. For an agency like ours, Parallax was built by people who know our business and have infused that knowledge. (I appreciate the leadership team also mentoring us, not just on the product, but on their experience and best practices, which helped us from a process, standards, metrics and roles perspective) .

In addition to the design, the UX is great, and continues to improve with subsequent releases.

Finally, we are users of HubSpot and Harvest, both of which integrate natively with Parallax, which is great!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parallax?

The things I might have written here previously have all been addressed. Those things include ease-of-use in the Shaper, to easily drag hours/assignments, having multiple billing types on a single project, Notes in various places, etc. The Parallax team is responsive to those "little things" from a roadmap perspective, which we appreciate as well! "Parallax Streamlines our Resource Planning & Improves our Planning Forecasts"
What do you like best about Parallax?

Parallax is the unicorn of a software our team's been searching for and they have a great team behind a great product.

The advantages are countless, but several key benefits stand out:

Time efficiency: Our monthly workload has decreased significantly through automated resource planning, financial reporting, and forecasting processes.

Seamless tool ecosystem: We were delighted to discover a platform that works harmoniously with our existing toolkit. The integration with Asana, Toggl, and Salesforce are helpful.

Data visibility: The access to instantaneous reporting has transformed our hiring decisions and resource planning meetings.

Continuous evolution: The Parallax development team consistently enhances the platform with innovative features.

Responsive assistance: Their support specialists are quick to respond, accessible, and committed to resolving issues.

Customer-centric approach: The team actively solicits and appreciates user input, showing genuine interest in enhancing both their product and overall customer experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parallax?

Looking back at our software evaluation journey, we'd definitely choose Parallax again. While we've encountered some minor issues worth mentioning for potential buyers, they haven't diminished our overall satisfaction.

The onboarding process required significant effort, but the Parallax representatives provided exceptional support throughout. Their team conducted regular check-ins and connected us with the appropriate specialists to ensure a streamlined transition.

Since adoption, we've occasionally encountered data inconsistencies and functionality quirks. However, the support team consistently delivers prompt responses and effective solutions when these issues arise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid Planning Tool w/ Incredible Customer Support"
What do you like best about Parallax?

The UI feels modern and engaging compared to many competitor tools we considered. The analysis is reasonably customizable with tags, filters, etc. Since adopting Parallax, it has been significantly easier for us to visualize our team's upcoming project allocations, utilization, and revenue actualization. Overall it's delivered a ton of value for our business.

My biggest praise for Parallax is the customer service. Their team has been incredibly responsive and flexible, actually taking the team to gather customer input, even live on occasion, and folding it into the next iteration of the product. The Parallax team has been a pleasure to work with as we've rolled Parallax out across our organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parallax?

Bugs and analytical anomalies pop on with some regularity and erode trust with our business users, particularly on the reporting side. The Parallax team is great about resolving them quickly, but it has made adoption harder on my end. Ultimately willing to accept this for the benefit of agile iteration and flexibility though.

The API could be more robust. Currently read-only and does not provide access to many of the foundational tables (people, rate cards, etc). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Parallax replaced my Resource Management spreadsheet"
What do you like best about Parallax?

I am MJ Davis, CTO of a Professional Services organization focused on implementing and customizing Salesforce.

We have a fair number of consultants who are deployed on customer engagements inside of projects, augmenting customer teams, or in managed service packages. Resource forecasting, role definition, and capacity planning are critical functions of my business. For six years we had been using an old shared Google Drive spreasheet and our own SF-CRM to manage our pipeline and resource assignments. This was fine when we all fit in the same room. As we scaled, the data entry and accruacy of our resource meetings began to wear poorly.

We conducted an assessment of Resource Management tools. Parallax was up against Kantata, some Appexchange packages, building it ourselves, or some other niche resource tools. The straightforward composition of Parallax and the accessibility of the team made the difference for us. Each other solution wanted to replace other tools that we had in place for timesheets and invoicing in order to put everything under one roof to make their features work. Parallax had out-of-box support for the tools we already used. This is specifically about Harvest and Salesforce support.

The implementation of Parallax has closed the pipeline accuracy our deal's impact on resourcing from ~5 days to same-day accuracy. Our Sales team members and Operations leaders each use their own tool to collaborate on the same set of data between the SRM tool and our CRM. This is had a material impact on the agility of Digital Mass.

Adoption and implementation of the software is one dimension. Changing your team's process to have a good cadence is another. At Digital Mass we had some of the resourcing ritual meetings in place already, which made it easy to adopt the recommended cadence. In the case that your organization has not done this, the Parallax team walks organizations through this.

I am a fan of the software and the team.

What do you dislike about Parallax?

Parallax straddles an interesting software position between CRMs and back-of-house operation systems. It takes a little time to work with the team and through the documentation to gain the philosophy of where data should be housed. There is a scratch to jam as much as you can into the elastic areas of Parallax like Tags and Notes. It is better to think carefully about what you are trying to solve for.

I would like more transparancy and control of the ingregration and implementation process. Afterwards I understood the exercise in mapping my consultants in CRM and in Harvest in order to make them the same resources in Parallax. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great support!"
What do you like best about Parallax?

Looking at the market, there were a lot of tools to give us better insight into utilization forecasting from Harvest data. What makes Parallax stood out are the people behind it. Throughout the sales process, implementation, support and success, we have felt supported and confident in relying on this system to transform our business. The tool exceeds our requirements and continues to improve but the people there supporting us are the best! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parallax?

We are always looking at more granular ways to filter through data and every system has room for improvement here. That said, there are more reports OOTB than we need and we are working to leverage those a lot better for our business now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Parallax Review – A Game-Changer for Resourcing & Planning"
What do you like best about Parallax?

We recently adopted Parallax at GreenHouse Agency (February 2025), and while we’re still in the early stages, it’s already proving to be a valuable tool for resourcing and planning. It’s helping us forecast workload for new clients, ensuring we take on projects at the right time and even plan ahead for hiring needs.

Ease of Use & Onboarding:

There was a slight learning curve in integrating Parallax with our existing project management tool, but the onboarding process was outstanding. Maddie and the Parallax team were incredibly supportive, answering all our questions and helping us tailor the tool to fit our agency’s unique needs.

Key Features & Performance:

One of the most useful features is the ability to view workload across projects for each team member and department. This high-level visibility makes resource allocation much more strategic. Since we just started using Parallax, we’re still assessing long-term performance, but so far, it’s been stable and effective.

Would We Recommend It?

Absolutely! Whether you’re a small or large agency, Parallax offers the flexibility to scale resourcing and planning in a way that suits your needs. The ability to shift between high-level and detailed reporting views has already provided us with better insights into our capacity and workload management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Parallax?

There isn’t much we dislike, but we did have to integrate Harvest with ClickUp for time tracking to ensure capacity is accurately reflected. While not a huge issue, it added an extra step to our workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
