"Seamless Fundraising with User-Friendly Features"
What do you like best about OneCause?

I truly appreciate how user-friendly OneCause is, as it makes setting up and managing our fundraising events remarkably straightforward and hassle-free. Its features, such as the ability to assign tables for large gatherings and efficiently handle nearly 350 guests, stand out as particularly impressive. The instant prizes and instant buy options have greatly improved our event experience, lending an added sense of professionalism and convenience. I also value the platform’s seamless sponsor payment integration, which saves us a significant amount of time, and the flexibility to run silent auctions online well in advance, which has proven to be extremely helpful. I am impressed by how well OneCause fits our organizational needs without requiring complicated integrations or adjustments, allowing us to operate in our preferred way and boosting our overall efficiency. The platform offers even more potential beyond our current use, and I look forward to exploring these possibilities. Features like the upcoming use of paddle numbers for live auction bids show that OneCause continues to evolve to meet our growing requirements. My satisfaction with these capabilities makes me eager to keep using OneCause and to recommend it to others, as I would rate it a perfect ten out of ten. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OneCause?

When I first started using OneCause, I encountered a learning curve, particularly because I was switching from a different fundraising software. While I ultimately found the platform to be user-friendly, adapting to its features was initially a challenge, much like with any new system. However, with each event, the process becomes smoother and I continue to discover more of what the software can do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sarah Sebastian of OneCause

Thank you for such a thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear how OneCause has helped you simplify event planning, streamline guest seating, and manage sponsor payments—all while enhancing the overall donor experience. It’s wonderful to know features like instant prizes, instant buys, and online silent auctions have made your events more efficient and professional.

"A Lifesaver for Small Teams with Big Missions"
What do you like best about OneCause?

What I love most about OneCause is how genuinely easy it makes things for both our team and our supporters. We run a lot of events, and having a platform that feels simple, intuitive, and not intimidating for donors is such a gift. It takes a lot of stress off of us, especially on event days, and lets us focus on the actual people we’re serving rather than chasing down logistics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OneCause?

My only dislike is that certain settings aren’t always easy to find. As someone who wears a lot of hats and juggles multiple projects, I really appreciate when everything is straightforward and visible. A bit more clarity in some menus would make the experience even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jennifer Haffey of OneCause

Hi, Sarena! Thank you so much for your review. We are so glad the platform takes the stress off and let's you focus on people. That's what we're all about! Thank you for your candid feedback about the visibility of certain settings. We're always looking to improve and your perspective is valuable to us. Your comments have been shared with our product team, and we look forward to continuing to serve you and make life easier.

"User-Friendly Interface and Great Support, But Reporting and Integration Need Improvement"
What do you like best about OneCause?

The back-end user interface was exceptionally clean and user-friendly. It performed flawlessly on the day of our event, and the staff were a pleasure to work with throughout both the preparation and production stages. We relied on it often to monitor updates across every aspect of our gala planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OneCause?

We experienced several problems with refunds not processing correctly, and we also struggled to locate the specific types of reports we needed. It would be helpful if all reporting features, including reconciliation reports, were accessible from any location. Handling offline donations proved challenging and sometimes resulted in duplicate entries. We would appreciate the ability to integrate with DonorPerfect and DAFs. Additionally, we are looking for more options and customization in communications, as some templates were only available for text when we wanted to send them as emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sarah Sebastian of OneCause

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback! We’re thrilled to hear OneCause helped streamline your gala and that our team provided such a positive experience throughout planning and event day. It’s great to know the interface and functionality supported your event from start to finish. We appreciate your notes on reporting and integrations. Moving to the upgraded OneCause Fundraising Platform could be especially advantageous, as it offers expanded reporting tools and more flexibility. Thanks again for trusting OneCause to power your fundraising events!

"Overall a MASSIVE upgrade with just a few features keeping it from being a 100% - Solid A though!"
What do you like best about OneCause?

The end product (event website) is leaps and bounds better than the old platform. The OneCause Fundraising Platform: (Professional) produces a modern site that is so much easier to build and customize as the organization, and so much better to navigate as the consumer. The back-end dashboard is easy to navigate. And the reporting is more comprehensive and so much easier to use! We were a little reluctant heading in to the upgrade because we couldn't get great information about the Stripe credit card processing. Under the old system, the clunky, cumbersome credit card transaction reporting made reconciling for our business office very difficult - difficult to the point that we only used the old platform for our annual auction and gala and ran everything else through our Acceptiva platform. Thankfully, our fears we unfounded as the Stripe system is again, leaps and bounds ahead of the old process. With the total upgrade of the platform and the credit card transactions, we will utilizing the OneCause Fundraising Platform: (Professional) for more than just our once-a-year gala! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OneCause?

There are 2 small issues that I would like to see addressed, neither of which are prohibitive to use or recommendation. First, the texting interface requires that you upload the csv file of phone numbers each time you want to send a bulk message AND there are words/phrases that you can not use without them being replaced with asterisks. Our event this year was held at The River's Casino Ballroom. We could not use the work 'casino'.....Second, I have not found that the platform is as 'organization-centric' as described relative to the old system being 'event-centric'. The new platform is better in that regard, but it still requires some jockeying back and forth rather than being fulling automated - this is in terms of communicating with 'supporters'. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sarah Sebastian of OneCause

Thank you for such a thoughtful and detailed review! We’re thrilled to hear the upgraded OneCause Fundraising Platform has been such a game changer for your team—especially with the modern event site, easier reporting, and smoother Stripe processing. It’s great to know the transition has improved both your efficiency and confidence in expanding beyond your annual gala. We appreciate the notes on texting and supporter management and have shared them with our product team as we continue enhancing the experience. Thank you for giving the upgraded platform an “A”—we’re working hard to earn that extra plus next time!

"All-in-One Gala Solution with Easy Use"
What do you like best about OneCause?

OneCause (BidPal) is easy and intuitive to use for a nonprofit's annual gala. I have utilized it at two organizations for cumulatively over 10 years: at one organization, we contracted with OneCause for their on-site staff support; and at another, have used the "DIY" version -- both of which have been good, smooth experiences. It provides all the tools we need, allowing for the entire run of a gala to function within it as a single software solution: ticketing, bid numbers, live auction, silent auction, fund a need, buy-it-now, etc. A particularly useful benefit is the built-in texting tool, allowing us to communicate with guests in a direct, timely fashion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OneCause?

The design customization tools are relatively light. There are ways to use outside design approaches to get your BidPal site to be an extension of your event's branding, but options (such as font/color/graphics) are relatively simplistic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sarah Sebastian of OneCause

Thank you for sharing your experience and for being a longtime OneCause user! We’re so glad the platform has helped streamline your galas and keep everything running smoothly from ticketing to auctions. We appreciate the feedback on design customization and have passed it along to our product team. Thanks for trusting OneCause to power your events year after year!

"OneCause is truly a one stop shop for fundraising!"
What do you like best about OneCause?

While there are many incredible things about OneCause, perhaps the most impressive is their Customer Service. Anytime I have a general or specific question, they are always quick to answer and very friendly. We've had an on-site OneCause rep for our events, and they are also amazing. Our non-profit school couldn't ask for a better organization to partner up with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OneCause?

I haven't found anything I "dislike" about OneCause. I've suggested that the Silent Auction bidding have the option to show who the top bidder is, as our parents and families are very competitive and like to have fun when they are bidding for items. Other than that, we are thrilled with their support and the entire OneCause platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sarah Sebastian of OneCause

Thanks so much for your review! We’re thrilled to hear that OneCause has helped streamline fundraising for your school and that you’ve had such positive experiences with our customer service and onsite support. "Excellent Support and Easy AI!"
What do you like best about OneCause?

What I appreciate most about the Fundraising software is the excellent support and how easy it is to use. I especially love the AI feature, which is able to answer almost all of my questions. Whenever I need additional assistance, the customer support team is always available and incredibly helpful, no matter how trivial my request or question may seem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OneCause?

One thing I find challenging is that it doesn't connect directly with our current CRM, Raiser's Edge. However, we're planning to switch CRMs soon, and I'm really looking forward to having one that integrates with OneCause. This change will make my job so much easier and help me complete my tasks more quickly, especially after an event. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sarah Sebastian of OneCause

Thank you for the great review! We’re so glad to hear you’re enjoying the ease of use, helpful AI features, and outstanding support from our team—it’s wonderful to know OneCause is helping make your events run smoothly. We appreciate your note on CRM integration. Many customers enjoy our integrations with platforms like DonorDock and Virtuous, which pair seamlessly with OneCause to streamline donor management and post-event follow-up. "Exceptionally User-Friendly and Flexible—A Total Game Changer!"
What do you like best about OneCause?

How User Friendly it all was. You can choose to learn as much or little as you want to use the software which was nice for me to be able to dip my toes in and not get so overwhelmed. Going from Hand Bid to this was a full 180. THANK YOU ONECAUSE Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OneCause?

The only flaw is that there are so many features and integrations that I wasnt able to learn them all prior to my first OneCause online auction and event. It can be overwhelming but having regular consultation calls were a game changer for people who get overwhelmed by too much info all at once! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jennifer Haffey of OneCause

"The best fundraising platform out there!"
What do you like best about OneCause?

We've been using OneCause for our nonprofit's fundraising initiatives, and the experience has truly been exceptional. From beginning to end, the platform is intuitive and professional, thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of both organizations and donors.

A major highlight is the platform's user-friendliness. Everything was streamlined and efficient. Even team members with limited technical skills found it easy to get involved and manage their responsibilities with confidence.

The customer support has been great. Whenever we had questions, the OneCause team responded quickly and guided us through solutions with patience and expertise. Their commitment to client success is evident.

The event management features has made a significant difference at our signature events. Our guests appreciated the smooth check-in process and the convenience of participating in the silent auction directly from their phones.

We also valued the comprehensive reporting tools, which provided real-time insights into our event performance and donor activity, enabling us to plan more effectively for future events.

In summary, OneCause has truly enhanced our fundraising efforts, allowing us to dedicate more time to our mission and less to managing logistics. I highly recommend it to any nonprofit seeking dependable, innovative tools to expand their impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OneCause?

Several functions—like customizing donor communications or managing auction items—felt clunky and outdated. .

We also ran into technical glitches during one of our events, including delays with guest check-ins. While customer support was responsive, the need for real-time fixes during a live event added stress we hadn’t anticipated.

Adding event supporter details is piecemeal; it would be nice to add all their information, including their CRM ID, in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sarah Sebastian of OneCause

Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear OneCause has streamlined your fundraising events—from smooth guest check-in to engaging auctions and comprehensive reporting. It’s great to know the platform has helped your team save time, reduce stress, and dedicate more energy to your mission. We’ve shared your feedback on donor communications, auction setup, and supporter details with our product team. Insights like yours help us continue improving the platform for all fundraisers. We’re so glad OneCause has been a reliable partner in your success, and we’re grateful for the recommendation. Thanks for trusting us to power your fundraising!

"5+ Years with OneCause"
What do you like best about OneCause?

Communication & onboarding is great! I have always had a great experience with my reps.

Their customer service is top notch.

Their trainings, help & the "university" are all very user friendly. I've never been made to feel as if the questions I ask are too simplistic.

We use the OneCause software at least once annually for our largest fundraiser of the year. I'm looking forward to using the AI feature for describing the silent auction items.

For our annual fundraiser, we utilize the onsite assistance that is offered. Each person we've had is kind & helpful. One of the things I like best, is they offer to assist us in streamlining and even make suggestions. For the last 2-3 year's we've had Kara. I'd love to have her join us each year!

There have been times when she will even send us specific reports to assist with expediting our closeout night of the event. Truly she's wonderful.

If you're toggling with the idea of having an on-sight rep, I would encourage you to do so!

I have not used the side to integrate with our own software, I'm also looking forward to trying that out next year as well.

In short, if you've been using paper & pen for your auctions, you're leaving $$ on the table. Especially once you consider staff time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about OneCause?

For our NPO, we have struggled a bit with which report we should pull to get which info. Especially to be in compliance with the reporting or Auditors like to see.

That being said, since we've been with OneCause for 5+ years we've been in talks with them & have received needed assistance on pulling the appropriate reports. (Again, their support is wonderful!)

If I were to change a few things it would be the following:

1 - have a small info bubble on each report.

2 - have reports customizable / editable. Maybe to drag and drop what you'd like in the report.

Idea: Patron name, email, purchased items, donations, paid or unpaid, picked up or not.

3 - have a check box, for in house use for "completed" & "followed up with guest" Just to help keep things tidy post event. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
