Everything is written out. From setup, to maintenance, and through implementation, Patch Manager has KBs, how-tos, and in-depth support article for almost any error that they have. What do you dislike about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus?

There is a broader issue with waiting for patches to deploy, and it can be hard to decipher 'Ready to Execute' error codes, and this seems to be the issue that users have the most, as there is a ton of documentation and troubleshooting that you can do on these issues. What problems is ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?

We're just testing it out now, so we really haven't had any issues. This is beneficial over WSUS as the testing phases for Patch Tuesday and other QA that needs to be done is too extensive of a task for our staff, and PatchManager helps with screening updates and getting other patches done for us. What do you like best about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus?

Was very easy to setup the infrastructure needed, as well as get out DMZ machine added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus?

Creating automated deployments was a bit tricky to get right. It took too long to realize that you could use the tiny filter icon when selecting a deployment server to use, to also limit the patches to specific custom groups as well. Probably should have been it's own field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Support and Powerful tool with a quirky UI"

What do you like best about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus?

Really enjoy the power of the tool. It works with both Windows and MacOS, they had support for Catalina in about a month, and notified me the moment support was rolled out. Updates work for a multitude of applications from Java, Adobe Air, Teamviewer, to common applications like Chrome, Firefox or OS updates on both Mac and Windows. What do you dislike about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus?

UI is very quirky to navigate and takes getting used to. The uninstall of the agent on Macs when their installed as a remote agent requires running an uninstall script. Easy to do, and it's documented online, just quirky. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's helping us ensure all our employee computers are at the latest OS revision and same goes for the software they have installed. We also have a need for software that works just as well on Windows as it does on Mac and vice versa. Patch manager's patching support is beyond incredible and for a lightweight program that doesn't have all the extra endpoint management bloat that we don't need for internal employee laptop use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus?

The Patch Manager has allowed me to remotely monitor and upgrade systems with the most recent patches. Prior to using the software, I would visit my clients on-site a few times a year and find the systems I touched to be way out of date. This tool has allowed me to eliminate out of date systems. I like that the pricing is upfront when most of their competitors pricing is by quote only. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus?

The system is a little more complicated than needed for smaller environments. The contextual help is decent, but could be improved. Overall it is reasonably straightforward to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus:

I wish the system collected some additional information on each system (e.g. memory, hdd usage, etc), so I could check the overall health of the systems - it wouldn't be a big change to make the system a light-weight IT asset management system. I wish it allowed custom fields for each system managed to track other information (e.g. age of system). I don't need a full blown asset management system, but would like to have a little more insight into the hardware/software on the systems managed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
