Last9 is the preferred single pane of observability for Logs, Traces, Metrics, built for modern engineering teams and high cardinality environments. — OpenTelemetry native, Cloud Native and Prometheus compatible, with support for 100+ integrations — Simple pricing model with a predictable “pay for what you use” plan, no per host or per user billing ——— Application developers, infrastructure engineers, DevOps & SREs, and business users send their Logs, Traces, and Metrics to Last9’s telemetry warehouse to monitor their services and systems and run alerting with anomaly algorithms for changes in patterns and behavior. Users are provided a Control Plane, as a first-class developer experience, to manage their telemetry data, its lifecycle, and its associated costs. Pre-Ingestion Workflows to filter, drop, and enrich data even before it’s stored don’t require instrumentation or code changes, and also enable engineering teams to not sacrifice visibility for cost optimizations. With Last9 built for high cardinality in mind — a generous 20M active time series per metric per day is supported, and tools like Cardinality Explorer & Streaming Aggregations allow identifying and handling telemetry with large cardinality. With correlated telemetry, Last9’s native explorer for Logs, Traces, and Metrics empowers users to quickly debug issues and not change context by allowing to jump between telemetry data, teams have the flexibility to use any tool that they’re comfortable with — either the embedded Grafana dashboard that Last9 comes with, or use Last9 as a data source for their preferred visualization tool. Organizations can choose between a SaaS or a BYOC/on-prem deployment model. Last9 is available on both AWS and GCP marketplaces. ——— Customers include Replit, Disney+ Hotstar, Clevertap, Circle, Probo, and Quickwork. Last9 is backed by Sequoia India (now called Peak XV) and Better Capital, along with a handful of prominent angels and advisors from Hashicorp, GoJek, Razorpay, Sendbird, and more.

"Clarity-Driven Reliability That Empowers Confident Teams"

5/5

What do you like best about Last9?

I appreciate how Last9 focuses on addressing genuine reliability issues rather than simply introducing more dashboards and unnecessary noise. The platform comes across as carefully designed and geared toward clarity, which enables teams to work more intelligently and with greater confidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Last9?

I don’t have any major complaints, but one aspect that could use improvement is the internal documentation and the number of manual steps involved in workflows. If there were more structure and clearer guidance in these areas, I believe productivity could be enhanced even more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Last9 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Last9 is solving the problem of unreliable, difficult-to-understand systems in modern distributed architectures. As applications grow more complex, it becomes harder to maintain uptime, identify the root cause of failures, and ensure that services meet reliability goals. Last9 addresses this by providing structured SLO (Service Level Objective) management, real-time observability, and automated insights into system performance.

For me, this has been extremely beneficial because it helps me:

Detect issues early before they become customer-impacting incidents.

Reduce time spent on debugging, since Last9 surfaces the exact services or dependencies causing reliability risks.

Track reliability in a measurable way through SLOs instead of relying on subjective judgments.

Focus my efforts on what truly matters, thanks to clear error budgets and actionable alerts.

Deliver more stable releases, ensuring better user experience and fewer production escalations.

Overall, Last9 helps turn reliability from a reactive activity into a proactive, data-driven process — which boosts my efficiency and confidence in managing high-scale systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A critical piece of our new telemetry system"

5/5

What do you like best about Last9?

last9's sales/support team was incredibly helpful in setting us up / getting us started using the platform. It has been intuitive and most importantly powerful to use. Has done a great job helping us cut through the massive amounts of telemetry data our system produces, and the insights we've gained from it have already highlighted bugs in our system and helped us identify and resolve outages before they got out of hand.

Last9's high cardinality data features made it stand out from other products we considered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Last9?

So far all the features I've personally needed have been there.

Data is stored on and transits through last9 servers, which means for our data privacy requirements we have to sensor user data before we send it to last9. It would be great if we could self host some parts of the software such as specific trace data Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Last9 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Identifying bugs and finding and solving their root causes. Alerting on outages and helping bring down MTTR Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable platform for proactive observability and incident management"

4/5

What do you like best about Last9?

Last9 makes it incredibly easy to gain visibility into system health with its well-structured observability features. I really like how the platform emphasizes reliability as a product, helping teams move from reactive firefighting to proactive monitoring. The dashboards are intuitive, setup is smooth, and the alerts are precise without being overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Last9?

The learning curve for new users can be a bit steep, especially if they’re not already familiar with SRE concepts like SLOs and error budgets. Some advanced features could use more detailed documentation or onboarding support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Last9 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Last9 helps solve the challenge of maintaining system reliability at scale by providing clear visibility into service health, dependencies, and performance through SLOs and error budgets. Instead of getting lost in endless metrics, it allows me to focus on what truly impacts user experience. This has reduced downtime, improved incident response times, and freed up engineering bandwidth to focus on building features rather than constantly firefighting. "Reliable, Insightful, and Easy to Work With"

5/5

What do you like best about Last9?

What I like best about Last9 is its focus on actionable reliability metrics. Unlike many monitoring tools that overwhelm you with noise, Last9 surfaces only what truly matters. The platform’s SLO/SLI tracking, fast query performance, and ability to correlate failures across services make debugging much faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Last9?

Some dashboards take a moment to load when there is a large dataset, and a few features could use better documentation. However, these are minor issues compared to the overall value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Last9 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Last9 helps us make smarter, data-driven decisions about our system’s reliability. It clearly shows which services need attention, helps us use our resources more efficiently, and ensures our applications run smoothly for customers. Overall, its insights have noticeably improved our system stability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Understanding Code Flow and Debugging"

5/5

What do you like best about Last9?

What I like best about Last9 is how convenient it makes debugging. Recently, I had to investigate an incident across nearly 20 microservices. With Last9, it was easy to search for the exact service I needed and then check the logs to trace the issue. That saved me a lot of time compared to digging through everything manually. The platform itself is pretty easy to use and straightforward to implement, so getting started didn’t feel like a heavy lift. I also find myself using it quite frequently because the features are practical and actually helpful for day-to-day debugging. Integration with our existing setup was smooth, and whenever I’ve needed help, their customer support has been responsive. Another thing I really value is data privacy—after some research, I found that Last9 keeps everything encrypted, which gives me confidence that my company’s data is secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Last9?

Honestly, I haven’t found anything major to dislike. The only small issue I’ve noticed is that sometimes there’s a bit of latency, and occasionally the data doesn’t update right away, so I need to refresh. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Last9 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Last9 helps us a lot with debugging and incident management. We have multiple microservices, and earlier it was difficult to trace issues quickly. With Last9, I can easily search for the exact service, check logs, and identify the root cause without wasting time. It reduces the effort of switching between different tools and makes the whole process faster. On top of that, the data security and encryption give me peace of mind that our company’s information is safe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Observability platform with unmatched support and flexibility"

5/5

What do you like best about Last9?

What I value most about Last9 is that it truly feels worth the price we are paying. Their pay-for-what-you-use model is transparent and they even worked with us to personalize the experience and bring costs down to a level that suited our needs. The team went above and beyond by staying in touch with us every day during setup and optimization. That level of support is rare, and it really helped us adopt the platform smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Last9?

There’s honestly not much to dislike, but if I had to pick one thing, it would be that because Last9 is evolving so quickly, sometimes it takes a little time to catch up with all the new features. That said, their team is very responsive and helps us navigate any changes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Last9 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Last9 is helping us simplify observability without the overhead of managing complex infrastructure. Before monitoring and troubleshooting issues meant juggling multiple tools and high costs. With Last9, we get a clear, consolidated view of our systems while only paying for what we actually use. Their platform makes it easier to detect and resolve issues faster, which directly improves reliability for our end users. On top of that, the team’s close support has made adoption seamless and allowed us to focus more on building rather than firefighting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Integration and Debugging with Last9"

5/5

What do you like best about Last9?

Last9 is very easy to integrate and debug, The website UI is very feasible to understand and debug the issues. I have used the spans and traces features in last9 which very useful to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Last9?

I usually faced latency issues while checking the logs for a services with high volume of logs. And they need to provide a source of truth to understand the if all the logs are getting propagated or they cutting it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Last9 solving and how is that benefiting you?

last 9 provided a APM dashboard which is very useful to get an overall idea on the entire services , Last9 also provided the alerting system which we integrated with the slack to notice any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very helpful to understand the flow and debug"

5/5

What do you like best about Last9?

What I really like is how easy it was to get started — the implementation was way smoother than I expected. It plugged into our existing stack without much fuss, so I could actually start using it instead of spending weeks setting it up. I use it pretty regularly, almost daily, because it gives me a quick read on reliability and highlights the issues that actually matter to users. The SLO-first approach makes it super clear what’s important, and the customer support team has been really responsive whenever I’ve had doubts — I’ve always gotten clear answers fast. Overall, it feels like a developer-friendly tool that makes my life simpler. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Last9?

The only tricky part for me was the learning curve in the beginning. Some of the concepts around SLOs felt a little overwhelming, and I had to spend extra time figuring out the best way to use them for our setup. I also think the docs could use more hands-on examples, which would’ve made implementation even easier. I use it pretty often now, but early on, I found myself not knowing which view to check for certain questions. Support helped when I reached out, but I think a bit more in-product guidance would go a long way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Last9 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Last9, it always felt like we were drowning in metrics and alerts but didn’t really know which ones mattered. Last9 solves that by focusing on SLOs, so instead of chasing random CPU spikes or noise from dashboards, I know exactly which issues affect users. It’s also helping us cut down on firefighting — I spend less time debugging blind and more time building features, because I can quickly see which service is unhealthy and why. Another big benefit is reliability planning: it highlights weak spots in our system before they turn into outages, which honestly reduces a lot of stress for me as a developer. "How last9 is Saving hours of Debugging Time."

4.5/5

What do you like best about Last9?

I am a Associate Developer and need more context on product to enhance my learning. Last9 has been a great helping tool to achieve that where i can see all the flows in multiple microservices, filter them by tima and log levels. I have been using last9 almost daily. It is easy to integrate and is one time process. once integrated i can just add a log in my codebase and i can track the flow in real-time. it also has rehydration that is very helpful and makes it very easy to get logs for a certain time range. Query and send to slack features are also very useful for solving customer support tickets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Last9?

The tail logs function is something i have never used. For 20+ microservices, its hard analyse all the logs coming in real time.

Other than that, last9 do what it should do, Give structured logs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Last9 solving and how is that benefiting you?

Last9 is providing a structured way to analyse and filter logs for 20+ microservices, which otherwise would need to be checked manually in AWS or server logs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
