**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

I use Kapiche to analyze Chat/Voice transcripts to understand customer pain points and improve our services, as well as analyzing responses to our voice of customer program, categorizing them, and understanding the context behind the scores we receive. I appreciate not having to analyze verbatim responses manually. Instead, I have a customizable dashboard that aggregates all the data on one page, tailored to business needs, allowing us to gain deeper insights with less effort. I love the platform itself and have been working with them for three years. I am impressed by the frequency of updates and the way they listen to their clients' issues, striving to resolve them. The human quality at Kapiche is amazing. Additionally, the initial setup was easy, and now with the automated creation of themes, the setup process is even simpler, potentially taking just a week.

**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

Kapiche has made open-end text analysis extremely quick & easy with a live connection to our VOC suvey data. The tool has become an integral part of our weekly and monthly reporting. We can quickly identify and track themes, compare time periods, and assess theme impact on KPI's such as NPS.

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

The quadrant map widget is an awesome visualization, but the data labels often overlap making it unreadable. We have to download the data and create quadrant maps in Excel to use in our reports.

**What problems is Kapiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VOC open-end text analysis used to be a long process that required extensive data preparation and manual uploads. The live data feed is a huge time saver. The ability to compare time periods and assess theme impact on KPI's such as NPS has really elevated our reporting.

**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

I love Kapiche. It makes my job easier, more interesting and its fun to dive into what customers are saying. It takes the hard work out of traditional methods of text analysis. I can do more useful things with my time like identify meaningful insights! I spend at least 50% of my time in Kapiche preparing reports.
We have a great support system too - Thank you Christina and Ika for always being there for us and helping us achieve our goals.

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

I can't think of anything I dislike. I'm excited to see more developments coming through the pipeline.

**What problems is Kapiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We would spend days each month trying to analyse our main customer feedback survey manually. Now, we not only analyse this feedback but we also analyse other feedback channels were were not able to do before. We can now confidentally answer questions like 'what do our customers need?', 'how receptive will customers be to this new product or service?'

Kapiche is helping to identify key concepts and phrases from thousands of customer verbatims. Hopefully in future we will be using it for ongoing tracking of key metrics and new business initiatives. Much easier than manually coding feedback.

With the aid of the great technology Kapiche, my team and I are better able to analyze consumer feedback. We save time since it gives us informative insights and enables us to rapidly comprehend what our clients think.

The timeline widget can be enhanced to provide alternative scheduling choices, such as bi-monthly intervals. The option to apply filters at the storyboard level would be very helpful.

The onboarding process was the best I have ever experienced - it enabled me to get the best out of Kapiche. The tool itself is clever, easy to use and has saved me and the team a lot of time. We are now able to provide an added layer of depth in reporting.

It is difficult to report on something I don't like....

In an ideal world, quant and qual analysis would be hosted on the same platform. The only downside to Kapiche is that it requires another platform subscription and another login; it is another tool I needed to become familiar with. While I don't have any issues with Kapiche's functionality, my only wish would be to consolidate the capabilities of analytics tools.

Open-ended research questions were not being utilised because of the manual and time-consuming process coding responses. The technology behind Kapiche semi-automates this proccess and enables us to get more out of our research while also eliminating bias

**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

Kapiche provides many options to analyze & summarise our open-ended data, from the initial storyboard that quickly uncovers key ideas to the various widgets, like quadrant charts, that enable us to relate themes to survey scores.  It's efficient to add subsequent waves of data and copy queries to new analyses.
The query tool and the whole platform is easy to use, and the support is excellent. Jennifer and the Kapiche team are responsive and helpful whenever we have questions or challenges.

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

Hoping the timeline widget can be upgraded to accommodate custom timing (e.g. bi-monthly). It would be handy to be able to apply some filters at the storyboard level.

We are getting more insight from our open-ended data, more efficiently.

**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

I like the ability to sort verbatim by themes and specific data points. Once prepared, the dashboards also help manage visibility with detailed filters, which you can choose to stay visible or hide when not needed. This makes it easier for us to see the whole picture and act on it quickly.

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

There were some instances when system upgrades modify the tooltip data visibility, so we'd have to report it for fixing. Not a huge deal-breaker since they were quick to fix it.

It helps our organization identify trends and deep-dive data as needed in half the time we used to. This allows us to address issues identified in a closer to real-time manner.

It was easy to learn, and presented the results in a visual format that was suitable for presentations. I also like the storyboard feature to suggest lines of enquiry.

It is comparatively new, so for research purposes, it will need benchmarking against existing methods such as human raters.

I am using it for a sentiment analysis of university student feedback on their classes. Large amounts of data can be examined with a fair degree of objectivity.

**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

The wide range of tools available for me to deep dive and look at the data thorugh different angle is my favourite thing about Kapiche. I like the implementation of scores within the survey alongside the actual verbatim, for example attaching the NPS score in a verbatim or even relating a verbatim back to another metric in the same survey. 
I also enjoy the incredibly friendly and modern UI that Kapiche has, which reduces my workload dramatically compared to other platforms i've used.
Furthermore, the amount of support i've received is just incredible and surpasses other companies. I can always expcet immediate response to requests or questions. There are also multiple help pages that explain the working behind Kapiche's calculations and functions, which are helpful to understand the tools i'm using.

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

While the UI is groundbreaking, there are areas of improvement. Firstly, i would like to have a master folder in the homepage to group different projects. Right now, projects are all over the place and there is no way for me to organise it, especially when the account is shared between different team members. Secondly, I would like to have an easier way to compare analysis within a project without opening multiple tabs. For example, within a project I set an analysis for brand X and another analysis for Brand Y. I would like to have a side by side comparison of these two brands in the same page if possible.

**Recommendations to others considering Kapiche:**

Reach out for their support and lean on them whenever you can to make the best of the prodct.

**What problems is Kapiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now, the surveys we have provide us with the "what" of the problem but it doesn't provide us with the "why". We know wha'ts wrong but we don't know the why that problem occured. Kapiche helped us uncover what our customers are saying through analysing their comments in a sophisticated manner. This helps us uncover why a problem occured and enable us to find the root cause.

I really like the way the platform can generate great sentiment from a lot of data whilst being flexible enough to overlay our local context making this highly relevant. What has been excellent is the way we can overlay key demographics, meaning we can draw out much richer insights by the demographics that matter to us, like location, department, and others. Super insightful.

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

If you're not using it regularly it can be a little tricky to navigate setting up queries. Kapiche combat this with amazing support from their customer support teams.

**Recommendations to others considering Kapiche:**

Great software to analyse a lot of data and sentiments whilst overlaying the local context. Highly recommend!

**What problems is Kapiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to analsyse our employee engagement data, i love how we can now view trends YoY, as well as identify where topics are more intense by key demographics. It's really helped us draw out much richer insights behind the employee engagement data.

The team have been extremely helpful during the onboarding process and beyond  - shoutout to Tami who answers all of my silly questions in less than a minute each time!
The query building feature is very easy to use and applying them on the dashboard gives me the ability to drill as deep as I need to go.
I also like that the files you upload can include both data and text insights, giving me the ability to slice insights in many different ways.

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

- I would love the ability to edit the project schema after the first upload instead of having to create a new project.
- The security feature auto logs you out after not that long of inactivity which is quite annoying.
- I would love the ability to set a date range on the 'Storyboard' tab instead of it showing this based on the full dataset (or add this into the top-level view of the dashboard instead of having to drill down into queries before seeing it).

Up until now, we haven't had the right tools to synthesise data from multiple channels and bring our Voice of Customer programme front, informing business needs and planning cycles.

**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

Kapiche's customer service. From sales process to implementation Kapiche's team has been very attentive every step of the way! It is clear they want their customers to be successful with their product. API is easy to set up without any technical knowlege. Their storyboard feature is a great quick snapshot of the conversation that is happening. I also like that you are able to tie NPS to your conversation to see what is driving the metric up or down.

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

It does take a considerable amount of time to build out queries. I do not like that it does not perform sentiment analysis on different parts of a comment, instead just an entire comment even if there are multiple topics discussed.

**What problems is Kapiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kapiche is helping us to identify what parts of our customers conversation are having the most impact on our top KPIs like NPS. The product is saving us a lot of time manually coding comments, helping us get insights into our stakeholder's hands more quickly.

**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

Ability to view related terms within the context network is extremely useful. By doing so, it is then possible to understand how the terms are related to one another as compared to how we think thevare related to one another. In addition to that having visualisations and metrics automatically calvulated after making the relevant queries greatly eases and speeds up analysis.

Minor UI issues although most of them are pet peeves, and the inability to change how sentiment analysis is done.

Main way which kapiche has really helped our organisation is to give us a better way to quickly understand what is going on within our unstructured data. By doing so we are able to make actionable insights in a timely manner and provide more feedback and reports to a larger audience.

The kapiche platform really helps with analysing data more efficiently and insightfully. Dashboard visuals, (specifically the impact to NPS and quadrant) and the storyboard feature are great and allow me to analyse data and produce quality insights quickly and easily.
The program is fairly simple to use once you get the hang of it and the onboarding and ongoing support is fantastic!

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

Would be really helpful if we could have customisable dashboards and the ability to compare based of different filter sets (date ranges, customer type etc).

I am able to obtain insights more efficiently. Also helps with getting to the next level down with what our customers are saying so I am able to better understand the painpoints and report on these.

**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

There are actually two features of Kapiche that I like best:
1. The "storyboard" tool for discovering associated concepts.
2. Their wonderfully simple query tool which makes it extremely simple to create complicated queries.

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

Their graphing tools in general are not great. They need the ability to change the scale of axes to make differences more apparent. In general, we tend to download the data and built graphs via Google Sheets versus using their graphical charting tools.

Great tool for text analytics and to simplify querying to make it easy to discover demographic trends.

**What problems is Kapiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kapiche has been tremendously helpful in helping us better understand the responses to our NPS survey. They have helped us better detect trends from the free text responses to the survey, as well as discover and track differences in responses based on both user demographics and segments unique to our product (e.g. neighborhood cluster size).

Working with the Kapiche team to develop deep text analytics for our company has been nothing short of amazing. Technical support, set up and constant evolution of the product has enabled our company to advance beyond what was capable before Kapiche.

The Kapiche team have been super helpful at every moment of the process, and have gone beyond the call of duty despite being in a different state to us.

**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

Kapiche is extremely easy to use.  You simply upload your data and it goes to work for you.
Kapiche is able to develop themes and you can easily assign rules to your groupings right away.
Then you get a dashboard where you can filter easily.
Far superior to any other Text AI platforms - I have used most of them and they all fall way short of Kapiche.
You also get amazing service.

It would be nice to have more flexibility on the output.

Identifying the drivers of our CX.  Presenting information to executives in an easily digestible format.
Saving hours upon hours of time.

The team is amazing & the platform really delivers in broadening capability around understanding and driving insights out of unstructured data. The platform is super intuitive and very easy to use.

There isn't much to not like - If anything, in the past it has performed a little slower than expected when handling giant datasets. However, I do know that the team were working on streamlining this and hopefully this has now been resolved.

**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

I love how easy Kapiche is to use. You create an excel sheet with all your customer data and the survey response text, upload it, let Kapiche run its magic, and you have instant insights into what your customers are saying. The visuals help anyone quickly understand what is important to your customers. There is a quadrant chart that is alone worth paying for Kapiche. I also greatly appreciate the expected vs observed frequency segmentation that tells me if a specific segment of customers is having a particular issue more than others.

Queries are easy to build and easy to check that you are including the right concepts. You can also view all the responses that match a query, find more information about a specific comment, and copy the comment verbatim to share with others.  Additionally, you can download the images to easily share in presentations or reports. Or you can share the dashboard link and anyone who has your company's email and the link can view the dashboard. 

The system also has a nice check and review system that helps you make sure your columns are usable. I also love their customer success team, especially Tami, who has helped me get full use of all Kapiche has to offer, which is a lot. The Kapiche support is super responsive to emails, even being on the other side of the world from me.

Finally, I love that I do not have to be concerned with lines of data. This has allowed me to try out different sets of data to get the best insights.

It is sometimes difficult to compare different queries, and as far as I know, there is no way to save the comparisons you can run. I do find it difficult to keep my dashboards top of mind for my colleagues, as they are separate links for each one, and this is outside of our usual dashboard systems.

**Recommendations to others considering Kapiche:**

There is a learning curve. Kapiche offers a lot, and it takes time to start making full use of all that it has to offer. Their support is stellar though, and they truly care that you are being successful with their tool. It is helpful to have whoever is doing the data analysis to be familiar with customer comments. We use Google translate, so some terms are translated differently, depending on the language. I know to combine those terms and that they will pull in the related comments.

I also recommend a demo just to see if you gain new insights. At least when we were testing the product, the demo used some of our data, so we were able to see what we could accomplish with Kapiche.

**What problems is Kapiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem I am solving is mining open response customer comments in a quick and unbiased way. Kapiche gives me a quick overview of the top of mind concepts, and then I can focus on the main issues our customers are having. Because you can continually upload new data, you can see if those comments change over time and if specific concepts/words change. I'm also able to easily see which segments of our customers are making those comments. Within an hour, I can typically have multiple insights into our survey responses.

Kapiche's ability to analyse written feedback from customers, i.e. NPS comments, CSAT comments, Survey results, is a game-changer. It is very easy to use and helps you understand what your customers are saying by providing quantitative insights on your qualitative feedback. Kapiche not only analyses the written responses but also suggests themes in the responses to help you understand feedback that you might be missing and the impact of that feedback. This also means that you don't need to spend time 'training' the system to recognise themes and concepts in your data.

Kapiche allows us to segment our written feedback and assess the impact of these various themes by our customer metrics. And enables us to make smarter decisions when planning our feature development, and to assess the success of our products with customers. The built-in dashboards provide a range of ways to assess the data and drill into the feedback our customers provide, which is fantastic for sharing with stakeholders.

On top of all this, Kapiche has been very proactive in supporting the setup and initial analysis of our feedback pipeline. They have been extremely easy to work with and always available to provide hints, tips and suggestions on how we can gain even more out of their system.

There is not much to dislike about the platform. The sharing of some dashboards and graphs can be a little difficult if you have previously segmented the data (but this is a minor quibble).

Kapiche enables us to analyse vast amounts of written feedback from NPS and CSAT responses (more than anyone could possibly read). It helps us identify trends in this data along with verbatim feedback that we can read around these themes. Having the ability to do quick ad hoc analysis.
Really like being able to copy themes across data sets so we can start with a framework and build off it and then seeing if theres a story behind the comments that we couldn't easily identify earlier.

As the tool evolves there have been a few small UX or admin types of requests that have been updated since. e.g. Coping themes from another project. 

It would be helpful to be able to provide access to many projects within the tool without the user having to accept the first project and then receive another invite for the next. 

To be able to pipe Kapiche data into GCP would be helpful. Also maybe some exportable reporting or even email reporting.

Kapiche enables us to create essential themes from a business perspective. Easy to develop a new theme from the storyboard showing significant keywords in different volumes and surrounding terms.  Once set up a set of themes,  it provides ongoing trends of negative/positive impact of each theme on the overall NPS. Especially, I would recommend their professional assistance in many ways, from onboarding sessions to ongoing support for integrations of a survey platform and swift implementation of further requirements.

It would be great if Kapiche provided more options for customizable dashboards and each default setting, such as viewing options for each chart or list and grouping functionality of multiple projects.

The system is relatively easy to use once you start off. There are some fundamentals that you will need to learn and understand how it operates but after learning the system it is very straight forward and simple to use. Learning process is probably several hours to get basic understanding.
Using Kapiche does require your data set to be 'clean' otherwise some filtering and comparison may not work. This of course teaches the basis of reviewing to make sure you have clean data.

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

Currently the only dislike is that of the requirement to 'clean' the data source before uploading.
If there was an built in interface to help clean the data before uploading to Kapiche that would be great.
Something like Tableau Prep but with additional notes/warnings highlighting what the system can take. Like a tick or cross.
Eg. Upload data -> 'prep stage' -> online cleaning/filtering -> upload to system

In this way the user would understand what the system can do/cannot do to be fully aware of the capability of the system.

Trial the product to ensure it suits your need. Text analytics can be a hit and miss.
Highly recommended that you understand your data set very well to maximise the advantage of the queries in Kapiche.

I love that I can upload my data and create queries based on my knowledge of our customers. The interface is easy to use, and there is a lot of information to be gained. I am able to update the data without recreating all my queries. The "unmapped concepts" option also makes it easy to find new trends in that new data. I've also been very impressed with the customer support, despite being on the opposite side of the globe. They've been responsive to my feedback and questions.

Sometimes the interface is a bit slow, and it's been a bit hard to share all the different dashboards with my team. However, the people at Kapiche have said they are working on making these fixes. I find that opening several tabs with different dashboards helps me compare services/customer groups and would love to have an option to make those comparisons on one interface.

If you are a do-it-yourself person or team, this is a great tool.

Kapiche is the most powerful text analytics solution we’ve come across. It takes less time to get much deeper insights, which is a real win for our analysts. 

There’s 2 main benefits to how the Kapiche algorithm works. 
1) There was limited time required to set us up - we were up and running same day. 
2)  Because Kapiche is not based on pre-built models, it allows us to see all the emergent themes and topics our account’s customers are talking about, not just the ones we already know about and are looking out for. 

Our customers also love the impact scoring. To understand the exact impact of a specific theme or customer issue on overall NPS makes the insights so much more tangible and makes buy-in from the relevant teams that much easier. 

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

There are a couple of things that would make Kapiche more powerful but I believe that most of these are already on the roadmap. The ability to track actions would be useful, so we can see what strategies and actions have impacted customer satisfaction. It'd also be nice to be able to copy our saved themes across other projects.

Also useful would be able to use a metric other than NPS to do impact scoring.

Dashboards 2.0 is something we're excited for. Whilst the current dashboards are good, they're early and lack some capability but the team is very communicative in their progress. Will look forward to see what they release in the coming months.

We have found that combining demographic and transactional customer data with CX data is where the most powerful insights comes from. Being able to quickly identify key topics (good and bad) and react appropriately has been beneficial but the ability to analyse the trends in these topics over time have been even more valuable.

**What do you like best about Kapiche?**

Qualitative data can be tricky; commonly is holds a lot of value, but extracting that value takes time and considerable effort. Kapiche helps. It’s not a cure-all solution for your text-based data, but compared with a traditional manual approach to coding it offers 70% of the insights in 1% of the time.

The storyboard feature (a top-line visual summary of the key concepts and connections within your data set) provides a clear and concise visual overview of your data in a matter of seconds. While the storyboard will not answer all your questions, it offers an insightful summary very quickly and can help guide where best to start your detailed analysis.

Customer support is a real strength of Kapiche. The support is responsive (commonly live) and the personnel are knowledgeable and keen to help / problem solve. The customer-facing Kapiche team are professional and appear genuinely interested in delivering a superior customer experience.

The UX and ‘look and feel’ of the product is clean and appealing.

The Kapiche team is open to suggestions on opportunities for product improvement. New features are released regularly, and the team is very open to understanding how their customers are using the product and where improvements can be made.

**What do you dislike about Kapiche?**

While there is a lot to like about Kapiche, here are a few of the limitation with the product from my experience.

While the time-series tracking of specific keywords / concepts works well, this feature will most benefit high-involvement industries where customer experiences and perceptions are dynamic and can be influenced relatively easy. Low-involvement industries will benefit less from this feature.

Compared with a traditional manual approach to coding qualitative data, Kapiche does the first 70% very well and very quickly. While the product appears to be constantly improving in functionality and sophistication, at present (at least for the data I have used it for) it falls down on delivering the deep more nuanced / fine-grained insights that a manual approach can reveal (albeit with considerable time, energy and effort).

While the headline analysis / results presented are most commonly logical and insightful, some of the connections between sub-concepts are, at times, nonsensical.

**What problems is Kapiche solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used Kapiche to analyse customer verbatim comments to gather customer insights that can be translated into a variety of business decisions. While difficult to quantify, Kapiche allowed us to understand our customers better and add weight to their voice in a time-efficient way.
