I find it especially helpful for team collaboration, tracking progress, and keeping everyone aware of priorities, blockers, and deadlines. The customizable workflows and dashboards also make managing even complex projects much more efficient.

Jira offers a lot of power, but at times it seems overly complex for straightforward workflows. Navigating between boards, issues, and backlogs can be sluggish or involve more steps than expected. Additionally, when there are numerous fields and custom workflows, the interface tends to become cluttered, which makes it more challenging to maintain a clean and organized workspace.

I recently have also explored the agents feature in rovo and it's exceptional product from atlassian.

Sometimes it feels sluggish to load user story contents and attachments

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like how easy it is to create tickets and assign work in Jira. The notification reception is straightforward and it integrates well with major collaboration platforms. I also appreciate Jira's flexibility for Agile and remote work, and its strength in issue tracking. Additionally, the initial setup of Jira was very easy thanks to the detailed guide and helpful team support, as well as the video guide.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira has a heavy and busy UI, which makes it hard for beginners to navigate, especially in large instances with many boards. Some standard terms like Epic and Issue aren't beginner-friendly, and a detailed glossary or an option to change convention names on boards would make it easier and more flexible.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira for ticket creation and as a CRM tool. It covers a major chunk of the software development lifecycle, helps with work allocation, documentation of employee work, and tracking work progress. Overall, it scales well as projects and teams grow, making it effective for long-term use.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

While Jira is a powerful tool, there are a few areas that could be improved. The interface can feel complex and overwhelming, especially for new users, and it takes time to understand all the features and configurations. Performance can sometimes slow down when working with large projects or heavily customized workflows. Additionally, setting up and maintaining workflows, permissions, and fields often requires administrative effort, which can be time-consuming. Simplifying the UI and improving performance consistency would make Jira even more user-friendly.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves project management problems by providing clear visibility into tasks and progress. It enhances team collaboration and integrates with other tools, improving project visibility and efficiency.

  ### 14. Fast, Reliable, and User-Friendly Ticket Management

**Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

JIRA software is something i started using in my last 2 companies (Approx 4 years now) where we were dealing with tickets. From raising tickets to getting updates, tracking the status of tickets were so easy. its a tool that is fast, Reliable and very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I have not used JIRA extensively like a tech person (project manager) to figure out the issues but as far as i have used, its a flawless tool.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping track of engineering tickets where software development, bug fixing was required, JIRA has helped us solve the issues where tickets used to get lost and used to take forever to get back on track with the work that is happening. JIRA's implementation has reduced the time it used to take for us to get our tickets to closure.

A very interactive project management tool that offers a handful of solutions like workspaces within the same account, workflows, and a very integratable tool.

Rovo and other integratable AI bots is a very useful tool to create your workspace. Kanban boards and segmented workspaces lets you have incredible combinations that perform well and is perfect for support ticket requests and bug tracking.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Not a dislike, but training is a must to be able to understand the tool. If you don't understand the tool, you won't be able to take advantage an potentially lose money.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organization visibility when it comes to bug tracking, customer asks, and internal tasks.

  ### 17. Easy to Use and a Big Help for Fix Versions and Change Requests

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Indoberto L. | Salesforce DevOps II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like it because it’s very easy to use. Since I’m a release manager, it helps me a lot with fix versions and with the change request process.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I have the app on my phone, where I can review tickets and CRs and change their status. However, when I want to review a fixed version, it tries to take me to the web version, and using that from a phone isn’t very useful.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because we work under the Agile methodology, Jira is very good at versioning and sprint management, which are the features we use the most.

  ### 18. Jira Brings Clarity and Organization to Our Workflow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Suman R. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

It helps us find blockers faster and understand what needs attention. For a business, this makes work more organized and the team more responsible. Before this, things were messy and we didn’t know who was doing what. With Jira, we can see the full workflow, plan our sprints, and track progress much better

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

honestly, Jira is not perfect. Sometimes it feels too complicated, especially for someone who is not technical. There are too many options and screens, and setting up workflows takes a lot of time.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solved big problems for us like task tracking, transparency, and better planning. But on the other side, it still has issues like complexity, slow speed, and too many features that we don’t always need. Still, it does the main job well and helps us manage work in a more clear way. Jira made everything more clear by putting all issues, bugs, and tasks in one system where everyone can see the progress. It also helped us plan our sprints better and understand which tasks are blocked or getting delayed. Basically, it fixed the problem of messy project tracking and made our workflow more organised and easy to follow.

  ### 19. Jira Keeps Work Centralized, Organized, and Easy to Track

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marian C. | Marketing Coordinator, Marketing and Advertising, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like best about Jira is how well it centralizes work and keeps everything organized and visible. It makes tracking tasks, bugs, and progress easy, while allowing teams to collaborate clearly through comments, workflows, and status updates. The flexibility to customize boards, workflows, and reports also helps teams adapt Jira to their specific processes without losing structure.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I dislike about Jira is that it can feel overwhelming at times, especially for new users. The interface and number of configuration options can make simple tasks take longer than necessary, and too many fields or workflows can add unnecessary complexity if the tool isn’t well managed. It can also feel slower or cluttered in large projects with many tickets.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves the problem of scattered work and lack of visibility by centralizing tasks, bugs, and requests in one place. This benefits me by making priorities, ownership, and progress clear, improving collaboration across teams, and helping ensure issues are tracked, followed up on, and resolved on time.

  ### 20. Essential tool for transparent sprint planning and team alignment

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber D. | Data Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira excels at keeping our entire data engineering team on the same page for sprint planning, task assignments, and daily status tracking. The customizable dashboards and detailed ticket features allow us to break down complex workflows, monitor progress, and ensure we meet our deliverables on time. Integration with other Atlassian products like Confluence and Bitbucket streamlines our development cycle, making documentation and code reviews part of a unified workflow. For cross-functional projects, Jira’s advanced filtering and tagging capabilities help us manage dependencies effectively and avoid bottlenecks.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

While Jira is powerful, it can sometimes feel overwhelming for new users due to its rich feature set and occasional UI clutter. Setting up automations or configuring permissions for different boards can be confusing, requiring extra time and admin support. The mobile app is functional but not as fluid as the desktop experience, lacking some advanced controls needed for more granular updates during on-the-go troubleshooting.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves the challenge of clear communication between teams by providing a centralized platform for planning, documenting, and executing sprints. It improves team accountability, reduces missed deadlines, and streamlines reporting for leadership. The ability to link tickets across projects ensures that blockers are surfaced early, helping us maintain project velocity and transparency.

  ### 21. Clear Organization and Efficient Collaboration in Jira

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel G. | Quality Manager, Consumer Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like most about Jira is the way it organizes tasks and projects in a clear and structured manner. It facilitates progress tracking, team collaboration, and provides a realistic view of what is being done and what is still missing.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I like least about Jira is that the tool can be complex and cumbersome for simpler tasks. The number of configurations and options sometimes makes it less intuitive to use, especially for new users or smaller teams.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves organization and task management issues, preventing delays and confusion in the workflow. It benefits me by bringing more clarity, productivity, and focus, with everything centralized in one place.

  ### 22. Intuitive, Familiar Interface But Tricky to Connect Across Teams at Non-Linear Orgs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alphonse T. | Senior Manager, Global Communications, Non-Profit Organization Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

The Jira interface mimics that of other popular task and priority management tools/platforms (like Trello, MS Planner) so that made it easier to navigate because of the similarities and intuitive nature of the website for ITDP's purposes (which was OKR tracking primarily).

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It was difficult to understand how various tasks and key results leveled up to broader team and organizational goals. The layout and interface could have included more connections between and across teams for organizations that are not necessarily organized linearly.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was integrated into our Okta identifying software so that made it easy to access for reporting. It was also the primary OKR and progress tracking platform we used across the organization before we made the switch.

  ### 23. Flexible Visualization with Export to Improve

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danilo . | Supervisor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like the various possibilities for viewing boards in Jira, where I can see the same ticket information in different ways, such as in a Kanban board or a detailed list, for various analysis purposes. This flexibility is very important for my work, allowing me to adapt the view according to my needs. Additionally, the initial setup of Jira was quite easy, with most functions being easy to understand, which greatly facilitates the use of the software on a daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The export of data through a spreadsheet could be easier to select the fields you would like to export, it is very complex and not very intuitive.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to organize and record warranties, solving the problem of open tickets in after-sales and storing all the dealings in one place, with various viewing options for analysis.

  ### 24. JIRA Keeps Our Agile Team on Track with Clear Visibility and On-Time Delivery

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patricia P. | CEO and Founder, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

JIRA helped our development team stay on track with our agile product delivery schedule, even while working remotely. It provided a level of visibility that was crucial for meeting our timeline goals. As a result, our go-live was completed on time, supported by the scheduling and transparency this platform offered.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

JIRA is easy to use, with intuitive features that helped my team know exactly where to go to stay on track for product deployment.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before JIRA, we were constantly backtracking just to stay focused on our delivery timelines. After JIRA, we had much better visibility into feature deployments, which made them easier to manage and helped lower our anxiety around timelines.

  ### 25. Powerful Tool with Customization, Needs UI Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikas N. | System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I find Jira to be a powerful and reliable tool for managing projects and tracking issues across our team. It is especially effective for agile workflows, including in planning, backlog grooming, and tracking. The customization options for workflows and fields are beneficial. I appreciate the strong support for agility and the detailed reporting and dashboards for tracking process and progress. Additionally, I like the seamless integration with tools like Bitbucket, Slack, and the conference alerts.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The main thing is the user interface can feel overwhelming for new users, and it can be improved. Also, the initial setup and configuration require some time, as well as some extra cost. Performance can also slow down with very large projects and instances.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira effectively manages projects and tracks issues for our team, especially with agile workflows. It supports sprint planning, backlog grooming, and has strong integration with Bitbucket, Slack, and Confluence. It also provides detailed reporting and dashboards for tracking progress.

  ### 26. Powerful Project Management with Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubham P. | Software developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira's structure is perfect for breaking large projects into epics, stories, and tasks with clear ownership. You can tailor workflows, statuses, transitions, and conditions to perfectly match your team's processes. Integrates with Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub, Slack, Figma, Sentry, and hundreds of other tools. Scrum and kanban boards are simple to use and support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and burndown tracking.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Custom workflows, fields, schemes, and permissions can feel overwhelming for beginners. When dealing with thousands of issues and task updates, the UI sometimes lags. Managing roles, access rights, and project-level permissions requires careful planning. Cost rises as more users and apps/add-ons are added.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Teams don't need scatters, spreadsheets, or documents; everything lives inside Jira. Managers get real-time insights into what's in progress, Whats's blocked, what's ready for review, and who's assigned that. Better sprint planning and agile execution for teams can be estimated using story points, tracking sprint commitments, and identify bottlenecks.

  ### 27. User-Friendly with Great Integration, Needs Custom Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aniket R. | Senior Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I use Jira for Project Management and Service Delivery every day. I appreciate its ease of use, which makes it simple to break down tasks, track due dates, and monitor progress. I also like how it integrates with other tools, which enhances my workflow. The initial setup was quite easy too.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The Jira reporting is not up to the mark. There are currently pre-built reporting templates. Ideally, Jira should allow us to build custom reports based on our requirements.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to break down tasks by request type, track due dates, and monitor progress. It eases integration with other tools and is easy to use.

  ### 28. Powerful Project Management, but Challenging Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I find it easy to add users and configure workflows on different projects as required. It provides dashboards for senior management, which gives a clearer view across the board on what work is done.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

On the admin side, it gets a little tricky. The training is a little difficult and understanding issue schemes, screens, configuration setup, and different projects can get tedious. Setting up each project with a different work scheme, issue types, screens, and what not wasn't easy at all.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira for tracking work items, managing projects, and configuring workflows. It's easy to add users and build dashboards for a clearer project overview.

  ### 29. Jira Makes Project Management, Bug Tracking and Git Branching Effortless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarath N. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Project management has become much easier since I started using Jira, and handling tasks across different projects is also straightforward through it. We integrated Git with Jira, which made it even easier to create the specific branch from the required repository for each ticket.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One downside of Jira that I’ve noticed is the user experience. Even though most of the features are useful, the overall interface can still be confusing for users. The positioning of the action buttons needs to be updated, because it isn’t always clear where to click next. I’m also often confused about the difference between tasks and sub-tasks, and I think this area needs to be improved in a clearer, more user-friendly way.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Project management at the sprint level works well for us. We run 2-week sprints, and we can track the work by creating multiple tickets. We also do a daily stand-up to follow up on progress and keep everything aligned.

Our QA team uses it to create bug tickets, which makes it easier to track issues and update their status for developers.

  ### 30. Jira Makes Work Visible and Release Tracking Manageable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira excels at making work visible. You always know what’s planned, what’s in progress, and what’s blocked. The way Jira enforces ownership is underrated, every task has a clear assignee and status, which reduces ambiguity.
I find Jira especially strong during release cycles; tracking scope changes, late bugs, and spillovers becomes manageable. Custom fields and workflows allow teams to capture the information they actually need, not just generic task details.
Jira’s history and activity logs are valuable during debugging, you can see exactly what changed, when, and by whom.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira can feel rigid if workflows are not designed thoughtfully upfront. Performance can degrade slightly in projects with very large backlogs.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Replaces informal tracking (emails, chats, spreadsheets) with a structured system of record. Makes dependencies and blockers visible early, reducing last-minute surprises. Helps QA and product teams understand release impact by clearly linking bugs to features. Preserves historical context, which is useful for retrospectives and audits. Enables predictable execution by aligning planning, development, and testing in one place.

  ### 31. Flexible Agile Tracking and Reporting for Big Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Soundararajan K. | Test Lead, Hospital & Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira’s main advantages are its flexibility, strong tracking features, and deep support for Agile ways of working.
It provides ready‑made reports (sprint reports, velocity charts, burnup/burndown, cumulative flow, time tracking) to monitor progress and team performance quickly
Easy to collaborate with big teams

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Slowness. At times Jira is very slow since we migrated to Jira cloud from on prem instance

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira mainly solves problems around chaotic project tracking, poor visibility, and weak collaboration; the benefit is more predictability, faster delivery, and clearer accountability for work.

  ### 32. Robust Project Management with Easy Search and Smooth Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishwas S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like Jira's searching feature where I can search for things very easily, and I get all the required updates. This keeps me always on top of my project and helps track how resources are functioning. Also, the initial setup was very easy because the guidance was there, making the process smooth.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Maybe it is a bit slow. That's the only, only thing I can think of now.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira makes project management manageable by clearly indicating who is the reporter and assignee, task location, and status. The searching feature is great for easily finding things and staying updated, which helps me stay on top of my projects and resources.

  ### 33. Jira Keeps Our Projects on Track with Epic-Linked Tasks

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira has been very beneficial for me to use as a project management tool. I can keep track of the work my team is doing by having tasks linked to an Epic ticket and make sure that progress is continuously being made.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Jira can be a little overwhelming behind the scenes when I need to make adjustments to my workflows. There are a lot of options and it can sometimes be hard trying to find the right setting I need to adjust.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira provides a high level overview of the tasks and projects my team is working on. Each column shows the status of the issue being worked on and without opening the ticket and reading the details I can know where things are at from a glance.

  ### 34. Powerful Issue Tracking and Seamless Integrations for Agile Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arbaz T. | Sr. Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like best about Jira is its powerful issue tracking and workflow customization.
It gives full visibility into tasks, priorities, and progress, making Agile planning and sprint management very effective.
The strong integration with tools like Confluence, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines keeps the entire development process in one place. It's easy to use, customer support is good and I daily use it for my tasks tracking.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

What I dislike about Jira is that it can feel overly complex and heavy, especially for small teams.
Initial setup and workflow configuration take time, and too many fields or permissions can slow things down.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps teams plan, prioritize, and track progress through sprints and backlogs with clear ownership.
As a result, it improves visibility, accountability, and delivery predictability for both developers and stakeholders.

  ### 35. Powerful Integration, Steep Learning Curve for Non-Tech Teams

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vignesh M. | Internal Audit Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like Jira's ability to connect with downstream systems and track changes or requests. Using the API from upstream, we connect with Jira, allowing our business technology team to enable the auto-creation of tickets. This makes it easy for us to track any request without having to ask for status updates. Additionally, the initial setup of Jira was easy.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It's not quite user-friendly for users apart from the engineering team or team from a tech background. Non-engineering team requires time to learn how to create a Jira ticket and how to use it.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira for tracking changes, approvals, and compliance evidence. It connects with downstream systems via API, allowing ticket auto-creation and easier tracking of requests without hassle.

  ### 36. Jira is easy tool for tracking, project management and dashboards

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Subhangi P. | Junior Java Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

It helps me keep track of tickets in both Scrum and Kanban. Both our business team and our engineering team use it.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The latest UI enhancements aren’t good. It feels like too much of a fancy tool to use, rather than something straightforward. Also, some reports are missing real-time data.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s our primary tool across different functions for tracking work. Our engineers and product team use it for standups and to run Scrum calls, and the CS team uses it for daily standups as well.

  ### 37. Exceptional Task Tracking and Team Alignment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sushant G. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

What I like best about Jira is how well it helps in tracking tasks and progress. Everything is clearly organized into tickets, statuses, and priorities, so it’s easy to know what’s pending, in progress, or done. It keeps the team aligned and makes planning and follow-ups much easier.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

At times, Jira can seem somewhat heavy and overly complex, particularly when handling straightforward tasks. The abundance of fields and options may slow down the process, and the user interface occasionally appears cluttered.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves the problem of tracking work and progress in a structured way. It helps manage tasks, bugs, and feature requests in one place. This benefits me by giving clear visibility on what needs to be done, who is working on it, and the current status, which reduces confusion and improves planning.

  ### 38. Too Complex for Small Design Tasks Despite SReally Helpful for Managing Daily Design task

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dharmik K. | Graphic designer and UI Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like Jira Ui is very simple and professional for users. Project process batter he.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One thing I dislike about Jira is that sometimes it can feel a little complex for small design tasks because there are many features and workflows. visible in my screen.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves problems like task confusion, missed deadlines, and scattered feedback.

  ### 39. Enhances Task Structure, Needs Easier Setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sebastian R. | Senior CRM/ Automation specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like Jira because it allows every stakeholder within the company to communicate clearly over different projects through ticketing. Every issue can be addressed separately and there is no time wasted on getting the information of the task. Everything is transparent and clear for all to see, which means no discussions about whether or not you did the assignment. You can connect different tickets to your epic, enabling you to build towards a goal and ensuring everyone knows what, why, and how we are doing what we're doing. It helps us structure our work, making it less time-intensive and improving priority focus, especially with so many ad-hoc requests coming in.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I find the form for filling in tickets could be more customizable. It's good in some situations but can be a little slow in the setup. The initial setup of Jira was difficult for me since I had no prior experience, making it time-consuming to go through all of the variables to get to my eventual board.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira allows us to structure work efficiently, improving priority focus and reducing time spent on tasks. It provides clear communication via ticketing, ensuring transparency and alignment on project goals and progress.

  ### 40. Exceptional Task Tracking and Organization Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** SAHIL V. | Software developer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

To start, the name immediately reminds me of Indian masala, which makes it quite memorable. On the technical side, this tool has already established a strong reputation for reliable task tracking. I appreciate how it allows you to create tasks and organize them into different categories, such as stories, bugs, and tasks. There is also a sophisticated feature that enables you to document what was accomplished in previous releases. Furthermore, you can track important details like who developed each item, when it was completed, and which tasks were assigned to each developer or team member.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

Having the ability to use an Excel sheet to automatically track our tasks and import the entire file would be extremely helpful. This feature would make it much easier to monitor information clearly at every stage of the process.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool helps you manage tasks, bugs, and a range of other items, making it easier to monitor how many are still unresolved and to estimate when they might be completed.

  ### 41. Essential Tool for Defect Logging and Team Communication

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chaitanya P. | Automation Lead, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I like the new AI feature in Jira that helps improve description by transforming my one-liner issue descriptions into detailed descriptions about issues. The initial setup of Jira was easy and good, and now everyone in the company uses Jira like a daily routine. I also find it valuable for bridging communication between developers and testers by providing a proper channel to track issues.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

I think the filters and analytics in Jira could be improved to provide more insights.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira acts as a bridge between developers and testers, allowing us to communicate issues with proof and a proper channel to track them. The new AI feature helps me write detailed descriptions just from one-liners.

  ### 42. Great for Ticketing: Intuitive UI, Helpful Filters, and Solid Documentation Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Moises S. | Support Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

It’s great for creating tickets for tasks or incidents within the company. The user interface is very helpful and self-explanatory, with plenty of filters and lots of integrations for documentation.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

At the moment there are no issues that I have found with Jira that I do not like.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Documentation issues were solved by that and for future reference all incidents and issues are better to be reviewed

  ### 43. Empowers Agile Teams with Structure and Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Theo P. | IQOS Club Manager, Consumer Electronics, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

As an employee, I value how Jira brings structure and transparency to our complex workflows while supporting agile methodologies. The platform makes it easy for diverse teams to collaborate by offering clear visibility into project progress, priorities, and dependencies. Tools such as backlog management, sprint planning, and Kanban boards help us remain aligned and deliver value efficiently. Additionally, Jira’s integration with tools like Confluence and ServiceNow streamlines our change management and documentation processes, which helps reduce bottlenecks and enhances governance.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

One of the primary disadvantages of Jira is its complexity and the steep learning curve it presents. Although it provides robust features for agile project management, setting up workflows, permissions, and boards frequently demands specialised expertise, which can hinder new users from adopting the platform quickly. Furthermore, the abundance of options and customisation choices in Jira can be overwhelming, often leading teams to complicate their processes rather than simplify them.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the past, our teams faced challenges due to the use of separate tools for planning, testing, and tracking incidents. With Jira, these processes are now unified within one platform, enabling us to handle test cases, scenarios, and defects more efficiently. This centralisation not only aids in maintaining audit compliance but also guarantees that every project-related activity is thoroughly traceable and well-documented. As a result, operational risk is reduced and the overall quality assurance process is enhanced.

  ### 44. Structured, Flexible Jira for Custom Workflows and Sprint Planning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris H. | Software engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira provides a proper structured and super flexible platform for handling tasks, bugs and project flows. I really like its customizable flows, sprint planning options, and backlog managements.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The UI interface can feel overwhelming for new users, when projects have many fields and flows configured. Sometimes performance can feel slow when comes to handling large boards.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira solves organize development task, tracking bugs and manage sprint powered flows in proper way. It improves team visibility on task based.

  ### 45. Powerful Integrations, but a Clunky UX That Slows You Down

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emilio P. | Senior Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

To be fair, I didn´t like much about Jira personally
But the amount of integrations not only with other tools, but on the way that developers work, is top in the industry

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

UX was not pleasing, I found it that everything was 2 steps further than it should take

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

tracking the completion of the projects we had in backlog/sprint

  ### 46. User-Friendly and Efficient for Incident Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** taufique a. | Technology Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

I find Jira incredibly user-friendly, making my experience smooth when managing incidents and deployments. I appreciate how it tracks major incidents and deployments while aligning all required documents in one place. The initial setup was good, thanks to the help from the Jira admins. Overall, having such an organized software to replace our manual efforts in Microsoft docs is a huge benefit.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It should be clubbed with AI that will help to reduce manual efforts of logging details.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Jira to track major incidents and deployments, aligning all required documents in one place.

  ### 47. Efficient Task Management and Team Collaboration with Jira

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parit K. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is a powerful tool for task management. It helps organize tasks for the team and manage them efficiently. Jira allows me to manage my work properly by creating and tracking tasks effectively. I also create tasks for the QA team so they can check and update their progress accordingly. This makes it easier for all of us to work on our tasks and log our time properly. Their customer support also helps me resolve any issues I face.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

There’s one thing I dislike about Jira — sometimes updates and notifications don’t appear in the system right away after I perform an action. This makes it hard to know whether the action was completed successfully or not, which can be confusing. Because of this delay, I sometimes can’t provide timely updates to my senior team members about my task progress.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Jira has greatly helped me manage my tasks digitally. I can easily access it anytime and from anywhere. Earlier, I used to manage my tasks manually using notes, which took more time. Now, Jira saves time and helps me track my work progress effectively. It allows me to manage task statuses so that my team members and clients can directly check my progress. Based on the project requirements, time can be properly arranged for each type of development. The mobile notifications also help me stay updated and work efficiently.

  ### 48. Amazing Project Management Tool for Managing Multiple Projects and Deadlines

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harmeet G. | Data analyst, Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

It is an amazing project management tools, it’s lets us manage multiple projects and deadlines in one place. Easy to assign work and track progress of team across projects. The option to add things in to do list and assign them is best. Amazing tool if managing multiple projects

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

The platform can have a simple mode for low level employees as it’s a bit confusing for them as it has learning curve but overall it’s an amazing application

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is really helping us manage multiple client projects efficiently, allowing us to improve performance and saves time. Amazing tool to organise work and track each story of the project easily

  ### 49. Powerful, Flexible Task Tracking—But a Steep Learning Curve and Can Feel Overwhelming

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is great for managing tasks and keeping track of project progress.
I like that I can see the status of all tasks at a glance, set priorities, and assign work to team members.
It’s flexible. You can customize Scrum and Kanban to fit your team.
The integrations with tools like Slack is easy and useful.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

It has a learning curve, especially like functions of advanced searching.
It is overwhelming when plenty of tasks or issues are assigned to you. You will lose patience if you do not check it everyday and have 100+ unread messages.

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me keep track of all my tasks and clearly visualize the projects I’m working on.

  ### 50. Essential Project Management Tool for Technical Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Disha A. | SQL Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Jira?**

Jira is my daily project management tool, without jira i cant manage my project tasks, its been more than a year now i am using it , and its amazing , i like it because it helps me keep track of all my database related tasks and ticket in one place, its very organized and makes project management easy even for technical teams like ours, i can clearly see what queries, bugs or optimization are pending , assigned or completed,. the way jira allows me for custom workflows and tags helps me to cateorzie tickets for different database environments, like development , staging and production . i also like that it keeps communication transparent between developers , analyst and managers.

**What do you dislike about Jira?**

overall its good , in everything but sometimes it gets slow when many projects or tickets are open. the Ui is very friendly , apart from that there is no issues in Jira

**What problems is Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Jira i use to track SQL tasks and bug Fixes manual on excel or chats, which cause confusion, Jira solved that completely. Now every SQL query change, schema update or performance issue is tracked as a ticket . this helps in maintaining history, accountability and collaboration. it also made our relase process more structured and helped avoid duplicate work. the visibility it give across team is very helpful for timely delivery and issue resolution.
