Here's how the main options compare on G2:

Benevity (4.7 stars, 185 reviews): The enterprise all-in-one. Giving, volunteering, and donations in one system, strongest for large, multi-location companies, with a heavier setup to match.

YourCause from Blackbaud (4.2 stars, 40 reviews): Another enterprise CSR suite, global and multi-language, part of the wider Blackbaud ecosystem.

Millie (4.7 stars, 169 reviews): The mid-market favorite. Easy, fast to launch, and strong on donation matching and event sign-ups.

Groundswell (4.9 stars, 100 reviews): The highest-rated all-in-one for giving, matching, and volunteering, popular with mid-size and growing teams.

onHand (4.5 stars, 172 reviews): An employee mobile app built around local, everyday actions and engagement more than admin reporting.

Submittable (4.5 stars, 168 reviews) and Get Connected by Galaxy Digital (4.4 stars, 161 reviews): more grants- and opportunity-management focused than full volunteering suites.

Rough rule of thumb: enterprise and global leans Benevity or YourCause, mid-size leans Millie or Groundswell, and engagement-first teams look at onHand. If you've evaluated a few, what made your shortlist, and what split the finalists once you looked past the marketing?

Honestly, rollout time was honestly the first thing we looked at. Some tools are live in weeks, others need months and a dedicated owner. After that it really came down to who's reading the reports, because tools that look the same in a demo can feel totally different once HR is actually using them day to day vs. pulling something for leadership.
