We run a roofing company and were evaluating Hatch to help improve speed-to-lead and customer communication.
Before signing, we discussed implementation concerns during our Zoom sales conversations. Because we were still building internal systems, I specifically asked what would happen if timing or implementation challenges came up. During those discussions we were told that Hatch works with its clients in those situations and that it would not be an issue if something arose.
Based on that understanding, we agreed to move forward with a 6-month contract.
Shortly after signing it became clear that we were not yet ready internally to implement the platform effectively. When we raised this concern and asked to cancel early, the response we received was that the contract terms must simply be honored.
What was disappointing was the difference between what was communicated during the sales conversations and how the situation was handled afterward.
My recommendation to other businesses would be to ensure your internal systems are fully ready before signing, and to carefully evaluate alternative providers that demonstrate a strong willingness to work collaboratively with their clients when challenges arise.
