It's free, and it's made our donation process look much more professional than it did before. They offer an attractive widget that's easy to embed on our website. I also like that we can create custom fundraisers for different audiences and connect those campaigns to Salesforce campaigns. I find the interface really intuitive; once the campaign is designed and launched, we never have to think about it again. It works reliably in the background while we focus on our mission. **What do you dislike about Give Lively?** There are a few elements of the platform that are not intuitive for me. But most of those have been resolved through help articles or through their chat. **What problems is Give Lively solving and how is that benefiting you?** Give Lively is making the donation process much easier and way more stylish. Prior to this, we had a PayPal button on the site that did this. People can still give via PayPal, but they also have many other options! The campaign pages are simple to customize and allow us to integrate our branding colors and images, while offering a straight forward but polished front-end donor experience. GiveLively's customer service has been excellent, and they even added an integration for Donor Advised Funds after I contacted them to request it. As a small nonprofit school with almost no budget for development, this platform being free to use is hugely beneficial (all we pay are credit card fees when donors don't cover them). For anyone looking for a basic but powerful donation platform, we absolutely recommend GiveLively. **What do you dislike about Give Lively?** Our main complaint is that there is no CRM function to allow us to manage donors from the platform. We can download CSV files with donor information from campaigns and events, but must then import that data to another system to effectively use it. We have also HATED the new "tipping" feature and wish that would go away. GiveLively does not make it clear to donors that a 0% tip is optional, or even how to do that, so on our campaign pages we have added a callout to warn donors of this (as we've had people complain). **What problems is Give Lively solving and how is that benefiting you?** GiveLively provides all the functions of a donation platform that we need as a small nonprofit school, mainly charitable contributions (monthly giving, receipting, reporting) and event ticketing. ### 4. There are no fees besides the credit card processing fees through Stripe and PayPal. And while they do offer donors the option to donate to Give Lively, it isn’t selected by default or pushed aggressively the way some other competitors do. **What do you dislike about Give Lively?** Certain things still aren’t there yet, or could be improved. For example, the event ticketing can’t be embedded on your website. The smaller domain widget also has lag and, during the donation process, it jumps back up to the top of the page (at least in my experience). But, things like not being able to segment donors, mixing fundraisers and donors, not having an specific tool to separate monthly and one tine donors,... The organisation receiving the money ends up with very little because of the high charges of using platforms such as givelivey. Registration is also easy on givelivy if you have all the required information. We haven’t encountered any technical glitches on givelively, and all donations made were remitted to our organisation. GiveLively's tools and UI is super simple, with everything easy to find. I like the fact that you can create and link together campaigns and events to make sure that no funding or lead gets lost. I do also love the DAF integration! And the different embed options. **What do you dislike about Give Lively?** I don't like that you can't manage donors in the app. Like, I can pull a report but then have to manually segment, etc., into another donor software either with a spreadsheet or through zapier to do any of the donor retention. I wish we could do that piece in-house. **What problems is Give Lively solving and how is that benefiting you?** I like that, for the most part, everything is in one place. It's simple to arrange and organize individual campaigns and track progress. I'm not sure if all fundraising platforms allow organizers to create giving levels, but it's a feature I really appreciate within Give Lively. Data gathering and reports is also very simple. **What do you dislike about Give Lively?** We temporarily moved away from Give Lively to use our banking platform, as it mandated the donor cover transaction fees (we've since moved back to Give Lively for donations). Give Lively offers the option to cover fees to the donor, but it's just as easy for them to ignore the request, meaning our organization will then have to cover those fees. As a donor, myself, I do appreciate being given the option to cover fees or not, so maybe a middle ground would be for Give Lively to already have the toggle set to cover fees, and the donor would have to toggle off the option if they don't want the added expense. More donors may opt to cover the fee if that is the set-up. **What problems is Give Lively solving and how is that benefiting you?** I really appreciate Give Lively's webinars and user information. We've experienced no downtime, and the backend of the website has always been reliable since we've switched over. **What do you dislike about Give Lively?** Give Lively is kind of bare-bones. There is not a lot of customization available and you are limited to the built-in template for donation forms. For team and peer to peer fundraisers, you need customer support to move donations or move people from one team to another. Event ticketing is also bare bones as you are limited to only one custom question. The AI support is helpful, but if it cannot answer your question(s), you have to wait for human to review your issue and get back to you, usually via email. **What problems is Give Lively solving and how is that benefiting you?** Give Lively solves the problem of needing to pay for a platform when you need to raise money. I The fact that it connects to PayPal and stripe without me having to have multiple windows up to see donations amount. **What do you dislike about Give Lively?** Getting signed up for Give Lively did take some work around and then also having to have the stripe account inorder to get donations at all. Some of our donors believed the tip was part of the fees they were covering for us. When donors do tip, the back end reporting on Stripe gets very messy because the whole thing is processed through our account and it makes it look like a fee that was charged to us. **What problems is Give Lively solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a very small nonprofit, we really appreciate the availability of a platform to allow us to collect donations without having to pay crazy platform fees.
