## About GetWhy
GetWhy is an agentic research platform that helps enterprise insights teams understand the why behind customer behavior, fast and at scale. It brings participant recruitment, AI-moderated video interviews, and multimodal analysis into one workflow. GetWhy comes in two forms built on the same engine. The Autonomous Research Platform lets your team run any study end to end, yourself, in days. The Agentic Strategy Agency hands the work to GetWhy's agents and Senior Researchers, who deliver decision-ready intelligence in days. The result is qualitative depth at a pace and price traditional agencies cannot match: up to 40x faster, up to 20x cheaper, with insight ready 48 hours from the first interview. Surveys tell you what people do. They rarely tell you why. Traditional qualitative research answers the why, but it takes weeks, costs a fortune per interview, and does not scale. GetWhy closes that gap. It combines AI moderation with a panel of 300M participants and analysis trained on +1 million consumer interviews to deliver rigorous qualitative insight in days. How it works: Study design: Build a rigorous study framework in minutes, grounded in Senior Researcher methodology. Recruitment: Reach 300M participants through an 8-step recruitment QA process with a human review layer. GetWhy is the only platform with that human review layer. AI-moderated video interviews: Run live, conversational video interviews in +100 languages, each language tested before launch. In head-to-head testing, AI-moderated interviews generate 1.8x richer conversations than experienced human moderators. Analysis. Multimodal pattern detection across text, audio, and video signals produces narrative reports with embedded video evidence. Activation. Turn findings into the formats teams actually use, with the evidence attached. Every AI-moderated study is held to a 17-criteria evaluation framework, the industry's only documented standard for AI moderation. On researcher-led engagements, a Senior Researcher is on every project. Key benefits: Insight in days. 48 hours from your first interview. Roughly 72 hours from brief to insight. Up to 40x faster than a traditional research agency, at up to 20x lower cost. Real depth, not just data. Video interviews capture how people talk, not just what they type. Rigor you can defend. A documented 17-criteria moderation standard and an 8-step recruitment QA with human review. Evidence-backed reports. Every insight ties back to actual customer video. Two ways to work. Run studies yourself on the platform, or hand them to GetWhy's Lead Strategists and Senior Researchers.

## GetWhy Reviews
 ### 1. Sonar increases the source of knowledge

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo V. | Business Partner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2023

**What do you like best about GetWhy?**

Some studies require a specific audience, and by setting filters I can make sure I'm reaching the right audience. This helps me reach users who are similar to our audience. I analyze all usability tests by exporting sonar notes. However, I wish I could export multiple tests in batches. I can take notes while watching a session and I can create clips of problems or bugs that occur in the user experience. It really helps when I share them with other teams. Sonar is beneficial for large companies operating in an agile environment. If you work in a fast-paced environment and need information quickly, Sonar's method is a great help. If you are resourceful and have the ability to ask questions, you will be surprised at how quickly Sonar becomes useful. We are a small crew and we try to minimize the amount of work we carry by minimizing our workload by optimizing research operations, which is why uncontrolled testing is critical to us. However, if you have a small company with limited resources, it may be costly. Therefore, it may be more economical to purchase several tools that specialize in different areas.

**What do you dislike about GetWhy?**

I think some contributors lie about their demographics. Sometimes when I try to reach users who are native English or other language speakers, I get non-native speakers, even though I set up the demographics accordingly. Gathering data for a presentation is difficult and time consuming. I recommend testing with users how the tool can be used to organize research and present it to leaders so that the tool has additional tools.

**What problems is GetWhy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Sonar to validate product ideas, test the usability of our products and iterate on product designs. Sonar helps us find usability issues in our product that would otherwise be difficult to detect. It could be that we are biased against our own product, or that we are so familiar with it that we don't see these problems. Sonar also helps us minimize the time spent on usability testing by allowing us to run unmoderated tests using demographic data of our choice.

Reports and dashboards are beneficial; we can rely on them to prepare future insights.
