Webviso provides thousands of customers across the world with web hosting and website management services. In operating such a platform, uptime monitoring is critical. That's where Freshstatus comes in.

Our experience with Freshstatus has been positive over the years we had used it. In the fast-paced tech industry where every moment of downtime counts, the simplicity of quickly creating an incident report is invaluable. Whether we're dealing with a minor incident or the ocassional outage (it happens!), Freshstatus allows us to share our updates promptly, ensuring all of our clients are properly informed of the status of our online operations.

What sets this uptime status service apart is its intuitive interface, which will make sense to both beginners and experienced users searching for a status monitoring tool. Navigating through it is a breeze and the process of creating and managing incidents is remarkably straightforward, with a lot less of the 'clunky navigation' to click through that other providers have. The ability to provide real-time updates and notifications to my clients has played an important role in maintaining the level of service our users expect. I especially enjoy the ability to use my website as a custon domain for the status page. In addition, customer support has been helpful - whenever we needed assistance, the support team was prompt and genuinely helpful (24x7 email support and 24x5 phone support is included on all plans). This level of support further solidified our trust in Freshstatus as our uptime monitoring utility.

Our team highly recommends this service to anyone seeking a robust uptime monitoring solution that not only works without a hitch, but also satisfies your customers when they need to be in the loop.

**What do you dislike about Freshstatus by Freshworks?**

We have only a couple minor issues with the service. One being that you have to self-host your own status page logo when other services offer an ability to upload it directly to the platform. This is an issue because when our service may be experience an outage, our logo file will also not be available. We'd also like to see further status page customization options and the ability to hide the "Agent Login" button.

I use this constanly to display my website status. Freshstatus by freshworks is one of the fastest, most efficent, and easiest to use softwares for website status displays. It's so easy to implement, a baby could do it. Their customer support helps with every issue. It can intergrate with so many other applications.

**What do you dislike about Freshstatus by Freshworks?**

I think that one widget should be given for free to help those who can not afford this software. I use freshstatus daily. Unfortunately I am unable to use one of the most vital parts.

I personnaly use Freshstatus since 1 year, my status page is amazing with a lot of informations for all of my customers. I was supprised by the number of free functionality of this free status page. The status page is really easy to use and implement on our website. I don't personnaly experienced issues with my status page since i use it everyday.

I think the status page should more customizable.

Set up as a quick and free solution but it's unlikely that we will replace it with a competitor's product anytime soon as it sufficiently feature rich and meets all our basic needs.

**What do you dislike about Freshstatus by Freshworks?**

Have seen no obvious way to send out email notifications to mailing groups which would be particularly useful as ours are dynamic. User email addresses must be subscribed at an individual level (however admins are able to import a csv file of addresses to subscribe and using their RSS feed and widget can get information to more people). This is likely because their billing model is based on the number of subscribers.

When fully set up will both passively and actively inform our employees of technology status by business area or office location

Freshstatus has a lot of great features added to their free plan, and once my account was setup it was very intuitive to use. They also include an API interface where I can programatically update my product's status, which is amazing!

It was difficult to setup an account for freshstatus

Freshstatus by Freshworks is an excellent service for monitoring the status of your websites, APIs, and other online services. One of the best things about this service is how easy it is to set up and get started. The status page is user-friendly for our customer, with a clear and straightforward layout that makes it easy to understand the status of your systems at a glance. Additionally, it's effortless to add a custom domain to your status page, giving you complete control over your brand's image and messaging.

However, one of the things I didn't like about Freshstatus is that the admin interface can be a bit confusing at first. It takes some time to navigate and figure out where everything is located. But once you get used to it, it's not a significant issue, and the benefits of using the service far outweigh any initial confusion.

Freshstatus has a lot going for it. A quick, intuitive way to define service delivery for the catalog of services we all support, and to show one's customers (external or internal) what's up, down, degraded or about to undergo maintenance is a solid boon.

**What do you dislike about Freshstatus by Freshworks?**

Freshstatus doesn't (yet) integrate with Freshservice - so we find ourselves having to list things like maintenance windows, service degradations, and more in two places. As a small team where everyone already wears a lot of hats, this extra step can feel like a lot - especially in an emergency situation.

However, their roadmap seems to indicate that this integration is coming soon... so we are keeping our fingers crossed.

There's often a perception that "everything is always down" - or, simple frustrations over our staff not having a single place to look for status updates, service uptimes, and other things they need to know about technology statuses to get their jobs done.

You can see status clearly and there's flexibility to get the message you need to out to the masses. The best part is people can subscribe to updates so those that really care can be kept up-to-date.

I don't have anything negative to say about it. Support has always been really responsive when I needed something.

Communicating with customers when something is not performing properly. Communication is key to help people understand that an issue being experienced is acknowledged, being worked on and also when it's expected to be resolved. When something goes wrong, you need to communicate.

**What do you like best about Freshstatus by Freshworks?**

The variety of settings is fascinating, plus Freshstatus is completely free of charge for up to 200 subscribers and should remain so permanently. The features that are already included can keep up with big players like Atlassian's Status Page. I have tested several open source variants, which unfortunately are hardly maintained anymore. From hosted sites Freshstatus is one of the few that are free and offer such amount of features.

**What do you dislike about Freshstatus by Freshworks?**

If there is still the possibility to display only certain services on the status page for certain subscribers, this would be a great advantage for our use case in the company. Otherwise, there is not much to complain about. Currently it is not possible to register for free. This is perhaps a negative point for customers who are not yet registered. I hope this will be removed soon.

We map the internal communication for incidents and maintenance work via Freshstatus. Due to this, all employees are always informed and have a history.

We have been looking for an easy-to-use, flexible and API-friendly service for letting everyone know about the incidents and upcoming maintenance across the globe.

**What do you dislike about Freshstatus by Freshworks?**

We did not like the watermarks being all around the status page and decided to inform them about this to help this valued service get better, and they removed most of the banners (except the one at the bottom, which is acceptable and required as this is a free service) just a few weeks after we contacted them.

As of today, we do not have any issues or dislikes about the service.

Informing everyone about our incidents was painful as we have customers worldwide for different services.  Freshstatus by Freshworks completely fixed this problem for us *for FREE*.

I've created my own custom status page in 20min or less and is so important for us to communicate to our customers if the platform is down.

There is nothing bad, maybe could have more custom options like fonts or text colors in some titles.

What I like about Freshstatus is very useful and free to use. It really helps us inform our stakeholders, system administrators, and, end-clients if any server incidents occur.

I think one of the sad thing to point out is when you connect the custom domain and it really difficult to get verified if your DNS was proxied for security reason.

Freshstatus enables us to be informed through its integrations to Freshping whenever our website or server is down. It will help us inform our stakeholders as well as our clients with regard to that incident. We can also inform them in advance whenever there is scheduled maintenance.

Freshstatus offers a much larger set of features and administration options than other/similar providers of such software. This makes Freshstatus unbeatable to use as a status site.

There is actually not much negative to say about Freshstatus. The only negative thing is that you can no longer manually change the email address of the account owner without contacting support.

Freshstatus allows us to run a status site on our own domain while keeping our operating costs low. Few providers of such a solution offer this.

We are already Freshdesk customers so it seemed only logical to use another Freshworks product for a status page. As I am already familiar with otehr Freshworks admin pages I have found Freshstatus very easy and intuitive to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Freshstatus by Freshworks?**

It allows you to navigate away from a page without prompting you to save which is frustrating if you have spent time adding groups and services but have not clicked "save and publish" - this button is also greyed out if a group does not have services.

It is also unclear how create an incident and update a status at the same time - it looks like this is two separate actions.

The intention of the the product is to prevent customers all reporting the same issues as instead they can subcribe to incident updates so the automation should save time.

**What do you like best about Freshstatus by Freshworks?**

I just love the fact they offer a free service for startups and small businesses. That changed the perception our clients have of our service. As a SaaS we need to prove that our service is working well, and they provide exactly that. My clients can check our status, and this increases the chance of closing contracts.

**What do you dislike about Freshstatus by Freshworks?**

I don't like their pricing model too much. I know they have a lot of different services but it's complex to understand the difference between their services. I could not set a SSL to my freshstatus page also.

**What problems is Freshstatus by Freshworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are solving the problem of monitoring web services, creating alerts for the customers, showing badge on the web that my service is trustworthy and allowing clients to check all maintenance we did.

I enjoy FreshStatus because of the wide range of features and options combined with the lower cost of use for our small business. Services are on-par with other big leading status page providers.

It seems to take a little longer time to introduce new features. However, this is not a significant issue due to the quality of the existing product offerings.

Sometimes the way to do configuration is not clear a simple eyes. Needs to start to search for more information, tutorial, and or FAQs.

Its very easy to use and the customer facing portal is well designed and simple.   The portal is fully customisable, very impressed.

It would be good if it integreted better with Freshservice (or even became part of Freshservice).

Freshstatus should reduce the number of calls we get from end users if we can proactively point them towards a status page so they can see we are working on the issue.

First Setup is very easy, you get a complete status page very soon.

There is no native support for SSL on your custom status page, also the handling of pings with freshping is not that intuitive.

I love that it's simple, cheap, effective, and full-featured.

My only complaint is that the custom domains don't seem to work on the admin console, which is only really an issue because we manually have to grab other links to send to customers that request them instead of just sending a link straight out of the admin console.

**What problems is Freshstatus by Freshworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FreshStatus gives us a simple way to communicate outages and incident updates to avoid constant phone calls and emails about these things.  It gets customers better data more quickly, and frees up our techs to work "real" issues instead of communicating status updates.

The ease of use and ability to customize

**What do you dislike about Freshstatus by Freshworks?**

I don't really have all that much to say about what it's lacking - I've used the platform for various small businesses over the years and have seen as features have been added to improve and make for a better user experience each time. 

I do have 2 suggestions though:
1. Email Notification Templates: to be able to replicate/copy over/share the same email notification templates between agents & subscribers (as an option, per individual type). 
2. Subscriber settings: it's pretty tiresome for the subscriber to manage their settings if they have to login, it would be far easier to have them determine at the point of clicking "Subscribe" which services they'd like to be alerted for. By default, it includes all Service Components, would be nice to select which one's you're interested in without having to create a subscriber login profile.

**What problems is Freshstatus by Freshworks solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's far easier to manage incidents and communicate with customers as opposed to sending multiple messages over multiple platforms. We can now share a "canned response" with them to follow the incident updates on the network status page, and encourage them to turn on updates.

Very easy to use.  The price is awesome.  The number of integrations and walking you thru them is also very good

So far I have really not come across any.  The only thing I would mention is the lack of being able to get a realistic price up front.  Yeah, the free account is great, but we are just below it and it would be great to be able to easily see what I could expect.  Atlassian is notorious for offering limited free plans and then to add the 1 user that puts you over the limit is a huge cost.  So knowing this before hand would be great.
