Contract stated 8-16 weeks but we went live after 1 YEAR AND 9 MONTHS despite our timely feedback. You have to constantly prod them for updates and the Project Manager (in most instances) takes about a week to reply. The 3D modeling phase took forever to complete and the design looks basic. On the 9th month, the problem has been escalated to their President, Dale Bathum, but it took an excruciating additional year to finish the project. We've made a number of compromises just to get things going and the final result is anything but impressive. The integration took so many meetings across months since there's always something from the initial brief that's left out. **What problems is Expivi solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's supposed to help customer visualize our products in interior spaces but we've only had a few users in the 3 months of rolling out the program. ### 11. The reason we chose for Expivi was both because of the positive interactions, them being located in the Netherlands but also because of the large amount of customisation possible and high quality of the 3D models within the configurator itself. We haven't experienced any errors or lag, even when multiple people are working with the configurator or when we have a large amount of options within the configurator. They also actively keep working on development and updates. **What do you dislike about Expivi?** You have to be somewhat tech-savvy or have the budget to hire someone who is (of course Expivi can help with this too), to be able to set everything up. For our specific wishes on our website, it was a bit of a challenge to get every element styled and responsive, though that might also be an issue on the side of our website or our design itself. A way of styling the configurator within the Expivi platform could be a nice addition in the future to save on time and costs when you implement it on your website. **What problems is Expivi solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used to get a lot of requests to make images of adjustments to our product which was very time-consuming. The majority of our clients who want something that is slightly custom tend to use the configurator first so they can visualize what it might look like. Our sales personnel also makes a lot of use of the configurator for proposal ppresentations Both these things save a lot of time on the side of our design department but also when placing an order as every custom element is already specified and listed when a request is placed. ### 14. There's nothing really to 'like'. Our company was interested in its 3D custom configuration capabilities. **What do you dislike about Expivi?** We've been in talks with Expivi since late 2020 and the process has been painful. Expivi told us that they could help create renderings for our products, as part of our contract. The intention of developing a 3D configurator was to eliminate the need for individual product renderings. However, we quickly learned that this would not be the case. We ended up having to pay our freelance 3D renderer even more for additional renderings, and each time we thought we were closer to the finish line - another issue would pop up with our 3D files. They outsource their 3D work and the project managers seem to be passionless and apathetic about their work. So far, our project has been passed off twice to different PMs and we are feeling completely lost. No one can understand our industry-related terminology and it shows. We are a small business of about 9 people and we wanted a seamless, easy experience with Expivi, and instead, we have suffered through a drawn-out, ambiguous one. The rendering work from Expivi's team has been sloppy and haphazard: components have gaps between them and they're unrealistically positioned in relation to one another. Please know, going into this, that you will have to render each individual combination of your custom products. It will not be as simple as they say. **Recommendations to others considering Expivi:** Expivi is not small business friendly. **What problems is Expivi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Expivi has not solved any problems, instead it has created more headaches. Customers are given the opportunity to design their own grill and look at all the different options. It is amazing how the Expivi team created such a great visualization tool for our complex grills. **What do you dislike about Expivi?** We don’t really have any negative experiences so far. **What problems is Expivi solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Expivi we have created a massive improvement in our sales process. The 3D configurator enables our clients to build their own bespoke product taking away the need for custom drawings for every single customer. We noticed that customers really like to customise the grills themselves and find it a unique experience. In the past, we had to prepare a 3D model in sketchup for every client which was really time consuming. By using the solution from Expivi this process is automated and standardised which greatly improves our internal processes and efficiency. We are now looking to further streamline our processes (materials ordering/ invoicing) by using more of the software’s capabilities. ### 23.
