"Dishonest, misleading, Poor customer service, Does not achieve what it claims to achieve"

What do you like best?

Following the latest software update there is nothing that I like about this program, STAY AWAY!

What do you dislike?

Softdent Rolled out there latest update about 5 months ago. We finally updated to the latest version and now we have found out that Softdent no longer integrates with DEXIS (which it always has and they still claim that it does). This is following 3 weeks of back and forth which they claimed they didnt know why our program would not integrate and they have not heard of this issue before (update is 5 months old). They now have admitted that following the update they can not integrate with Dexis and they will do nothing to remedy this situation. They still claim to integrate with Dexis in there online materials and salesmans' mouths.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Do not use this software in your practice. It will be nothing but a headache!

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Currently Softdent has added 0 benefits to our practice and is only a headache, stay away.

"Modern Technology Done The Right Way!"

What do you like best?

CS SoftDent Software is very user friendly. We have switched from a more outdated program to this and work has been a breeze! I am able to schedule patients, add insurance, and I can easily change or update records.

What do you dislike?

I dislike that certain members of staff are unable to fully understand as it could be harder for someone who is not computer literate to fully get the software. There are also many features that aren't as easily broadcast-ed that need some searching to find.

I highly recommend CS SoftDent Software

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am able to organize everything I need to make sure I am doing my job effectively. My company loves how are we can view x-rays and can also link with different machines we have in the office.

"Fairly user friendly"

What do you like best?

Most everything is in one location. Works well for paperless charting. The tabs make it easy to find things like perio charting, patients charts, accounts, etc

What do you dislike?

Scheduling can be difficult. I have accidentally moved appointments without even trying and can never get them back in the same spot. We also have issues integrating our xray software into this program. Some days it works and others it doesn't. Not sure why.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Just plan for training and give time to learn the product. There may be issues integrating xray software into this program.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

It has aided in going paperless though we aren't quite there yet. This software does have a learning curve, especially if it is replacing another product. A lot of the features are the same, just in different locations. It takes time to learn new software. We do seem to have an issue with integrating our dental xray software into the program though

"Easy to use dental software"

What do you like best?

The software has an easy to follow interface once the administrative details are properly set up.

What do you dislike?

There is not enough customization for specialty practices and users must update information more frequently than we'd like to have accurate information for insurance estimation.

Make sure to invest in proper training for the entire team and to make training consistent to get the most out of the program.

"Practice Works Review"

What do you like best?

The format is nice and clean. Like that we can put sticky notes on an appt so that we can have more details that us at the front can pass on to the staff in the back.

What do you dislike?

There's no shortcut to print an appt from the appt. Instead, have to go through multiple tabs which is annoying. There isn't an easy way to organize what and how much insurance paid for procedures. Would be nice to click on the payment and be able to see a break down of insurance payment instead of going through insurance EOBS.

Haven't solved any problems with this software. There's honestly nothing special about it.

"Almost there"

What do you like best?

Ease of access and all-in-one eliminates need for separate programs

What do you dislike?

Way too many prompts, when checking out a patient its awkward as it takes way too long. The program constantly crashes and freezes. Inaccurate calculations on pt transactions. Not very straightforward as you must go to several menus. Cant close the program without being signed in is incredibly annoying. Doesn't automatically refresh daily schedule.

No benefits to this program. Its terrible and not made to cater to dental needs

"Yikes "

What do you like best?

The only thing I like about this software is that I don't have to use it anymore come July 1.

What do you dislike?

This software is SLOW. It's like it runs heavy no matter how new or fast your internet is. Nothing is seamless, and every feature is either way too many clicks or just plain difficult to use.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are solving no issues and everything this software does can be better completed with a different software.

"Not my fave"

What do you like best?

I liked the way the schedule itself was set up, but there's not much I loved about the software.

What do you dislike?

Not very user friendly, multiple windows have to be open, the account screen is harder to read and decipher, normal Windows' shortcuts don't work within software.

Recommendations to others considering the product

There are many excellent POS for dentistry, I would recommend others before I would recommend SoftDent.

Definitely better than paper charts.

"i like it"

What do you like best?

once trained is very easy to navigate and dynamic to use.

What do you dislike?

it is not what i would call user friendly for people with limited computer skills. requires moderate training to master.

It has a lot of hidden features that take a lot of tie to recognize, that is a roadblock, butit is compatible with many of the other digital diagnostics : x rays, pano, 3D scans, so it versatile, that is a benefit

Pretty easy user interface. It looks old though and need to be updated

interface looks old , there is always a long hold with support

"Decent"

What do you like best?

The schedule view is nice and easy to use.

What do you dislike?

The chart section is more cramped and looks like older software.

Digital charts and all clients’ documentation scanned and uploaded into this software for use, reference, and to save space from paper charts. Also scheduling 2 dentists weekly schedule.

Scheduling use to be an extreme issue for everyone to work with now it’s helped every one with a schedule that works for them.

"Not great, not horrible"

What do you like best?

The new updates helped a lot for ease of moving between pages.

What do you dislike?

Anything to do with scanning in documents is an inconvenience.

The reports function helps with determining financial progress as well as where we need improvement.

"Easy to read and operate"

Sometimes the system freezes and closes.
