Cornerstone learning is a very all-inclusive Learning Management System that allows for numerous modules, videos, materials, etc., to be accessible to many users.

A glitch keeps users from accessing some of the information/transcripts immediately when reactivated or new to the system. It's not something that happens all the time but enough to notice.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can provide training to numerous people across the country. It allows the users to keep to date with all of their certifications.

I take care of the monthly learning interventions in my organization and cornerstone has helped me automate most of my things including the training nominations, virtual webinars, training calendar, registration, assigning playlist, catalogue and multiple similar things. Not to forget the custom report accessibility

Custom reports, Training registration, playlists

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Custom email formats are too time consuming considering the importance of task and time taken to execute

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Must apply this if you wish to automate things and have a helping hand

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

monthly training calendar, assigning playlist, assign mandatory learning modules to a group, division etc

  ### 12. Cornerstone Learning - A positive, customizable experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brooke D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Customization options, ease of use, and ability to run specific reports based on different LOs are my top three favorite things about this product. We can brand emails with our logos, customize thumbnails for each LO, and easily train others in the department on how to use the product.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Curriculum versioning for each LO we update has been one of the most frustrating parts of learning. We understand that Cornerstone is working towards a solution on this, so we are very thankful.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to track completions for required HR training, report on test scores, and use course evaluations to gauge whether or not our employees are retaining the content we have invested in.

The customizable emails have allowed us to communicate the importance of completing the training, as well as why they received it, and allow us to brand the emails per company for a more personalized experience.

  ### 13. #1 LMS for a reason

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer G. | HR Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The Learner Home page is amazing and has a great user experience. Our employees love the carousels and the personalized learning experience. We use this product for a variety of learning styles - custom content created by our in-house trainers, video lessons we purchase from third-party vendors, and tracking in-person courses either classroom or online. The flexibility allows us to reach each learned in their own preferred learning style. The new App is especially popular with our newer employees, who enjoy being able to access content from their tablets and phones.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

There are a lot of resources for admins, however, the Help section and the Client Success Center are on two separate platforms, so you have to have to search multiple locations for solutions.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

We did not have any learning management software or even a central repository of training history prior to CSOD. It is important to understand how you want to set up the system because the customization is practically limitless. The good thing is that there are many resources to learn and understand the back-end of the product so that you can adjust and retool as you use the system, but it's always easier to set it up correctly the first time.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have three separate business units across 7 countries and each of them have different needs. Cornerstone is adaptable and we can customize the learning experience for each team to ensure everyone is getting the maximum value. Even though each of our employees may go through a different onboarding process, depending on their position, location, and division, we can ensure that they all receive a unified message and complete training experience through cornerstone's tracking and reporting.

  ### 14. Learn to use CSOD and you will be rewarded with knowledge

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex H. | HRIS Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Very easy to use and navigate for both the end user and the administrators. CSOD definitely takes care of upgrading/updating their learning platform. With updates every quarter there is a plethora of enhancements always coming. There is a strong community of users always willing to help you out if you have issue.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

I appreciate them wanting to innovate and roll out as many features as possible but I would like them to also go back and correct certain things and make the prior enhancements better. They also tend to remove things that are working very well when enhancing which can irritate users because as a user and admin we want add-ons not removal of items that work great

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing the best quality materials to our employees for them to be able to be certified and develop their careers by not just utilizing the LMS portion but leveraging performance in combination in order to have our employees success at their job

  ### 15. Cornerstone experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

We have been using Cornerstone for 4 years. The incredible array of possibilities that Cornerstone learning offers is amazing. We have only gotten to the tip of the iceberg in what I have been able to implement as far as learning. I so appreciate the support and wide variety of help and training available through Cornerstone so that I can quickly research how to implement something, find answers to questions or problems and ask questions through the community. It has been a great experience thus far and hoping to continue deepening our learner engagement with Cornerstone learning.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Cornerstone does have some really small quirks that are somewhat irksome. Usually, we can find someone within the community that has had the issue previously and has a work around. I have specifically experienced these within observation checklists, and updating content and how it affects curriculum reversioning.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to use Cornerstone to effectively track on the job training, create observation checklists to assist units with onboarding for skills. We were able to still pivot and quickly connect and engage with employees in online formats to continue needed training in online formats instead of in person formats during the last 7 months.

  ### 16. Meets our needs, but could be a bit more user friendly.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

I love being able to build out learnings and specify availability/assignments.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

The Admin experience could be cleaned up

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to create learning plans and offer a lot to our company through Cornerstone. The user experience is very clean and pleasant, but the admin experience is repetitive and not streamlined. For example, when we upload a scorm file within course publisher, we then have to go into catalog to set availability, acknowledgements, email triggers, etc, rather than being able to do everything in one place. Building a test takes way longer than it should because of having to build the questions in a question bank and then in a separate area, combine those questions into a test. When creating a material and uploading a document, you have to click an extra save icon. There are extra and unnecessary steps that must be taken that could be cleaned up for admin.

  ### 17. Very user friendly but hard on admins

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elke M. | Applicatiebeheerder, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

I like the interface a lot and it is very user friendly for our employees. The interface is very intuitive for our employees and they all find their way pretty easily which is super nice!
There are also a lot of possibilities for online learning, like videos, materials and interactive e-learnings.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

However sometimes it is hard for admins to find their way. Their are multiple ways to do certain things, like for example creating training items. It is nice that there is a lot of attention for the different needs of clients and wanting to give everybody something to make their work easier but all the possibilities make it sometimes hard to clarify how things are done.
Reporting 2.0 is also pretty complicated at the moment, since there are so many permissions to use. They are sometimes also linked, so if you don't select one permission that is linked to another, the one you actually need does not work.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We weren't able to provide online training to our employees until we started using Cornerstone Learning. Now, and especially in this daunting time, we are able to support our employees with online learning. This gives them the opportunity to keep on learning and gives them the tools they need for their jobs.

**Official Response from Lindsey Haines (Deane):**

> Hi Elke, thank you for your feedback. We take every review seriously and appreciate any opportunity to improve. I’m sorry that you are finding it difficult to administer the platform at times. We have passed your feedback on to our Product team in hopes that we can alleviate some of the cumbersome tasks of being an admin in the system. If you haven't already, we encourage you to log in to the Cornerstone Success Center (CSC) to connect with your peers. There are a lot of great resources in the CSC that might be able to support you as you work on the back end. Once again, we appreciate your feedback and hope we can turn your experience around. If you have additional feedback, please reach out to us directly at wecare@csod.com. Thank you for being a valued customer!

  ### 18. A myriad of flexible options good for meeting most of the training needs for an enterprise.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The flexibility of the system provides many options to meet the needs of a diverse enterprise. We are able to use differing areas of the system for various units across our organization which allows us to keep many things in one system.

We are also able to support a large number of users accessing training at the same time which has helped with compliance training launches that encompass our entire user base.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

There are some administrative functions that are cumbersome. The challenges we face with these often lead to additional time on tasks that should be shorter and more efficient.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem we have solved to date is the ability to deploy and support enterprise wide training in one place.

The benefit to this is we have one place that our population is already familiar with in which they can house, assign, complete, and report on training.

  ### 19. An informative digital library for learning.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Curtis'läggare E. | Accompanist/Cantor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Cornerstone learning is appropriately basic. It is likewise a straightforward encounter transferring SCORM agreeable eLearning. The following is genuinely basic, and it wouldn't take a lot of aptitudes to start utilizing Cornerstone. The record with the latest updates is significantly more natural. It's decent that it is interconnected. I welcome that there is a great deal that the item can do, regardless of whether my specific organization doesn't have the spending plan to buy the things that truly upgrade and coordinate them into the organization culture. If you incorporate adding reconciliations, there isn't a lot of that Cornerstone can't because of faculty insightful. Cornerstone keeps updating the platform to meet the user’s desire through constant feedback provided.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Improvement is moderate. In the event that something is missing or it doesn't work the manner in which you need, the appropriate response from CSOD is consistent to "log it on Suggestion City". This is their Connect module for clients and an approach to visit with different clients. Proposal City has some incredible remarks and thought however, unfortunately, it resembles CSOD don't take a gander at it. For instance, there are different recommendations back from several clients needing to have the option to change the date design yet there hasn't been any affirmation or updates on this in 9 years. A few regions of the stage are in urgent need of progress (for example Certifications). At the point when you raise these, you are urged to document a string in the Success Center, however, you end up answering to yourself or other baffled clients.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cornerstone learning OnDemand is a suite for all ventures. It fits very well with Life Sciences and Banking enterprises. This application is versatile, strong, and easy to understand.

  ### 20. Cornerstone - Great for my customers and opening opportunities for me.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica C. | Director, Education Experience and Training, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

I love the personalized support that Cornerstone gives to each client to make sure that the solution fits your needs and you are well poised to use the solution to it's fullest. Their client success center is full of great content that has helped me become an expert to meet the needs of my current organization, and build my resume for future opportunities.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

The system can do SO MUCH, that sometimes I wish I didn't see features that weren't available to me. As an example, my curriculums I build always have curriculum pricing options, but I don't have an extended enterprise account and therefore don't/can't charge for the curriculum. I'd rather that feature be hidden.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote learning for all employees through the pandemic. Cornerstone helped us streamline our processes and increase engagement.

  ### 21. Great LMS & LXP For Large Organizations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chelsea P. | Instructional Designer & Training Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

I love that there are so many customization options that you can make this system into anything you need.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Because there are so many options throughout the entire system, it can be challenging to train our admins. The customization is great but there are hours of training needed for most basic administrator functions.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

If you're coming from a system similar to HealthStream, it may be best to start fresh instead of migrating data over. Some other LMS are not forgiving when you migrate data.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are having some trouble with moving content and information from HealthStream to Cornerstone. This isn't Cornerstone's fault. It has been a challenge working with HealthStream to migrate data. Cornerstone has allowed us to change from an assignment learning culture to a mixture of compliance and self-driven learning.

  ### 22. User-friendly, easily customizable platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel G. | Cornerstone OnDemand LMS Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

From an admin perspective, I like that after completing some basic training and building knowledge about the system functionality, the system is fairly easy to use. After using the system for about 6 years, I usually can figure out about 5-10 different ways to handle each kind of task, and that flexibility is helpful to give a client options to find the best-fitting solution.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

While I enjoy the functionality of emails, there are a few aspects that frustrate me: deep links and the formatting that is difficult to maintain control of, as fonts often revert to previous formats. I also dislike that I have to wait until the half-hour to sent a marketing message -- a lot of critical time gets lost waiting for test emails to generate.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Provide training to end-users, managers, and admins to make every one as self-sufficient as possible -- and find the best way to market it, so people actually go into the system and use it.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I try to give my clients customized solutions to their needs, and Cornerstone has had a lot of flexibility to allow that to happen. Right now, I'm working on a number of custom triggered emails for critical assignments, and I enjoy how well they work and the confidence that leaders can have in the process.

  ### 23. Great for anyone!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The ability to reach all sections of our business. From the top employee's, to the bottom. We are able to connect and engage with out employees to better serve their needs to grow.

Alignment is key. Being able to align employee's individual goals, with the goals of the organization through learning in development has been key in fostering a nurturing culture to better serve our customers

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

I haven't disliked much. It has pointed out many of my shortcomings as a software person, but it has also forced me to grow in that area, which I appreciate.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Do it, and do it now. The next generation coming up needs this

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Compliance. Being able to dynamically assign tasks and keep us compliant.

  ### 24. A solid platform but more development work is still needed

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave H. | Learning Experience Technologist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

It's able to do pretty much all of the basics that you'd expect from an LMS. It has a good option for automatic data feeds from an HRIS. The ability to create custom pages is great. This allows you to do most things you need outside of the in-built system functionality.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Development is very slow. If there's something missing or it doesn't work the way you want, the answer from CSOD is always to "log it on Suggestion City". This is there Connect module for customers and a way to chat with other users. Suggestion City has some great comments and idea but unfortunately, it's like CSOD don't even look at it. For example, there are multiple suggestions with back from hundreds of users wanting to be able to change the date format (me included) but there hasn't been any acknowledgment or updates on this in 9 years. There are many other suggestions like this, this is just an example.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Think about if you really need something as big as CSOD. We find that a lot of the features go unused.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Initially, it was to host, deliver, and track compliance training (which it does quite well). We're now trying to figure out how people can find the right training, for the right roles, and find career progression training quickly, simply, and easily (which it doesn't do so well).

  ### 25. Platform with a lot of potential but needs updates to key areas

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe B. | Digital Learning Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The platform caters for a lot of scenarios; ILT, VILT, e-Learning and exams. The tools for uploading e-Learning and importing data have seen some much-needed redesigns in the last couple of years and are finally getting to be more intuitive to use. The catalogue provides a lot of scope for customising your listings, and again the LO details page has been revamped for a better, cleaner look. Some of the GPS (Support) team are excellent and come across well in their interactions.

When it works, the integration between WebEx and CSOD for virtual training works well, we've even been able to make use of WebEx hands on labs as part of this for an end to end solution, which is clearly of benefit in the current climate.

The page editors are a little clunky but most HTML works as expected, and once you've mastered the system, you have a general feel for how to make customisations and changes as you see fit.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

There are other areas of the platform that are seemingly abandoned; Certifications for one. This is an overly complex area of the system that I understand to have originally been a legacy add-on and hasn't seen much development in recent years. Accordingly, when it breaks, it well and truly breaks and getting answers is a difficult and drawn out process.

We have a complicated implementation and over the last 12 months have experienced some real system-crippling issues. The team are working with us to move away from customised scripts and other likely points of failure, to a proper/up to date Web Services implementation, but this is going to take a lot of time and money, and it would be good to see some of this functionality brought into the core system. The running theme is 'raise it in suggestion city' (an online feedback forum) but there aren't many active users there and the typical notifications I get are when someone else bumps a request of mine from the last 3 years.

Which brings me to my final point - extended enterprise. At times, it feels like we are one of the few companies using this, given the lack of capability for things you'd assume to be 'musts' - end to end journey and purchase tracking with tools like Google Analytics, only a handful of payment merchants accepted, difficulties reconciling Cybersource and Cornerstone. In their defence, there aren't many other LMSs out there that offer eXe, but it just feels like something that desperately needs dragging into the 2020s.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When the system has gone down, we've been out of action for days at a time. As we're an ExE client, this means a loss of revenue, angry customers and frustration all around. As above, some of this isn't aided by the complexity of our implementation, but it took an awful lot of escalation to finally get resolved. It sometimes feels like our issues are not seen as a big priority.

  ### 26. CSOD Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jess F. | Senior Training And Development Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

I love all the flexibility you have with Cornerstone - it's a robust system that allows you to configure things in a way that works for you.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

There is some clunkiness to the system but they are making efforts to fix these areas more recently. For example, the learning object details page was very old looking but recently was refreshed and looks a lot more modern. There are some areas around re-launching and how it tracks in reporting that doesn't work well. There's a steep learning curve on the reporting capability to figure out how to get the right information.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're building up the confidence in our team with engaging learning they can do anytime.

  ### 27. Cornerstone is a great product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Cornerstone is a beast of a system and it can be a great product to deliver training. In order for the product to work correctly businesses need to have a well thought out plan on how they want to leverage the system in their processes. I think client frustration sets in when they realize that Cornerstone isn't just a plug and play software. It needs dedicated bodies to get the most out of the system. I like that Cornerstone has grown in the past 6 years that I have been using the system. It is constantly evolving and trying to meet the needs of their clients and customers. It was great they were able to adjust during COVID-19. They adjusted their conference and they were able to push out content during this crazy time.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

There are parts of the system that are not intuitive and difficult to navigate (certifications). There are also some parts that are outdated when it comes to the user experience. It is nice that Cornerstone is open to the feedback and has plans to update legacy parts of the system.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Cornerstone will be a great tool. It will make everyone's life easier if a learning plan has been developed before implementation.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, we are solving the problem of teaching courses remotely. It is a great tool to house our training modules. I think that once we integrate Zoom for vILT we will have a much better experience for our instructors and users for webinar training's.

  ### 28. Our Enterprise Learning Solution!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ani D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

When we were first exploring an LMS platform, we realized we had several systems, in use, throughout our enterprise. Cornerstone's Learning was selected to become our enterprise LMS and in the past few years we have migrated clients across the enterprise over Cornerstone Learning. What's great is that now the learner experience is streamlined, there is one system they need to know and all learning they complete is captured in one place! I also think the direction and experience provided by Learned home is great!

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

I wish there was a way to update custum emails for several course in bulk. The other minor issues for me is to be able I wish the LMS would speak a little more easily with the Performance side. In other words, when we launch a review task, I wish we could show someone training compleions within thte task.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One platform, one experience! We use Cornerstone for both Learning and Performance and to have one platform for the end user to learn and log into, makes things so much easier to manage.

  ### 29. CS Learning - 1 Year and Counting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deb P. | Manager, Learning & Talent, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Integration of products, tools, flexibility of how to assign learning modules to end users. We went from a pretty standard LMS with little variables to a LMS with so many variables that we have not even begun to tap the surface of how to utilize to the best experiences. Cornerstone University is an excellent resource and the integration of Lippincott has been extremely valuable to our system.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

The number 1 dislike is the lack of customer service CS offers. It's extremely difficult to contact a live person for the specific need you have. But, once you do - the service is very good. In addition, CS does NOT document and track CEUs. This is vital as a healthcare system and as a result we have had to contract with another vendor for these services. The other thing new clients need to know is the amount of time and rework it takes to build the platform, upload data, and completely rebuild all of the learning objects.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lack of accountability is the number one problem we are solving. With the CS reporting and dashboards, we have been able to hold managers accountable for their team members' learning and certification tracking. This is imperative in an organization that must meet standards and requirements to stay open.

  ### 30. Great flexibility, strong audit trail

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alana S. | Manager, Training and Document Control, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

I like the flexibility in configuration. As our organization has grown and expanded, different departments and newly acquired locations have reached out about how to accomplish their learning/training needs and we've been able to find something in the learning suite to make things easy for them.

I also like the clarity of the documentation. We're a highly regulated industry (blood banking) and have had very few audit findings related to training documentation since implementing Cornerstone. One of our trainers mentioned she's been able to answer every auditor's question since we came up. We had a paper training documentation before Cornerstone, so that was huge for us.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

We have a lot of "old-timers" in our organization that aren't very computer saavy. Getting them to use the LMS correctly has been a chore. We provide training, tip sheets, etc. to help but I wish there was more "out-of-the-box" training or help we could provide to our users.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Take the time to get to know the system and change your processes to meet what Cornerstone is capable of. Don't try to fit a current process into the system. It's much easier to see the possibilities of what Cornerstone can do and build on that.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a huge training initiative starting in July for a project implementing in November. Historically we used strictly ILT training to accomplish this type of project training, but for this go-around we're utilizing cohorts and Connect to do nearly all distance learning. This will save our organization quite a bit of money in travel and lost production time, and we're hoping it will also be better for the learners, since the training will be completed over a longer period of time.

  ### 31. The Cutting Edge Learning Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Cornerstone is constantly driving to improve learning experience with innovative UI, on the job immersive and mobile options for tracking and delivery, and improvements for searching, as well as a machine learning suggestive Learner Home.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Cornerstone is growing so quickly that I am looking forward to their use of AWS so that the rare issues with our swimlanes don't occur any longer.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

I appreciate the amount of learning available for admins in the Success Center at Cornerstone. I myself have studied and achieved the Expert level of LMS certification through Cornerstone and learned a ton along the way to support our instance. I recommend making the product certification training part of the early development plans for any new admin to Cornerstone. And i recommend Cornerstone on the basis of its rich community of clients forum, quality of educational products available for admins, and level of responsiveness to support requests.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using a Zoom integration to deliver virtual instructor led training through Cornerstone which has helped since COVID for us to launch and track VLT training automatically and directly through our LMS.

  ### 32. A Great LMS Product!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

I have been a LMSA for the hospital for almost two years and can honestly say that my experience has been a great one. It is a fairly easy system to use and manage. I am always finding a new way to make our processes more automated and efficient. I especially love the reporting function as the hospital uses the stats for many purposes. The reporting function comes in very handy. The learners always give great feedback. I also want to point out that the customer service I receive from Cornerstone has been exceptional and very timely.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Some processes are still very manual in Cornerstone.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

The Zoom integration is very useful especially now that everything is virtual. Cornerstone makes it easier for instructors to create and manage their events. I find this to be a really neat and much needed tool at our organization.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Cornerstone to track compliance for some of our required trainings such as Workplace Harassment Prevention. We are currently looking into using the platform for our Conflict of Interest process. Some of the benefits I have realized is that the experience is a simple and easy one for our learners. Also, the reporting is very helpful in tracking our employee's status of completion. This helps us ensure we are in compliance with the law.

  ### 33. Complete Package for LMS requirements

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Morgan H. | Technical Services/ Technical Trainer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Cornerstone is easily configurable to our needs. Our organization needed ways to provide internal and external content. Setting up distinct divisions so information could be divided was a need that Cornerstone can satisfy. There are many options to improve the learning experience for users yet it is simple enough to navigate. Overall it has been a very good experience.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

At times the system can be too configurable. Our IT security team is responsible for managing the permissions and they are not always active administrators in the system. Having them change permissions as they move from one IT product to another can be challenging.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Really look at how to structure your OUs before implementing the product. While learning how to use the system, make sure you have a good data set to work with. It will improve understanding as you go through the initial training.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are filling a gap in our training overall. With the current state of the pandemic, we have been able to reach out to our partners to provide them experiences and learning that otherwise they would not get currently. We have also realized that using the system goes beyond what we are using it for now as a bridge, to being able to enhance learning moving forward by creating a balanced model of formal and informal learning.

  ### 34. Cornerstone Learning System

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Cornerstone Learning provides a great way to organize your employee database and keep track of all learning assignments. There are many features available to help streamline learning documents and make them available to all employees in your organization. There are many self-help and knowledge documents available which are very detailed and can help you with your needs.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

The least helpful aspects of Cornerstone stems from the Administration side. The interface is not user friendly. There are multiple buttons, selections inside of selections and extra check boxes where there is no need. The system is not intuitive. Cornerstone feels like it's running on old software code that was patched together instead of completely scrapped and started fresh. An example would be when you upload materials. You must first select the document, upload the document and then save the document. This should be a simple upload process. The extra steps are time consuming, too detailed and not user-friendly.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits are great reporting! Once you understand the reporting layout they are very streamlined and easy for reporting data. Current problems include integration onto mobile systems.

**Official Response from Lindsey Haines (Deane):**

> Thank you for your feedback on the admin experience. We have started the research phase on a few projects that would allow admins to take batch actions, for instance, for catalog management, ILT roster management, and content versioning. We expect these sorts of improvements will streamline the experience for admins and instructors. Once again, we appreciate your candid feedback. If you have additional feedback, please reach out to us directly at wecare@csod.com. Thank you for being a valued customer!

  ### 35. Cornerstone Learning with Ultipro HRIS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The integration. We have Cornerstone integrated with Ultipro, Lippincott, and RQI. This has allowed our employees to have a one stop shop. They have one log on with Ultipro. From there they can access Cornerstone, Lippincott, and complete their life support training without having to remember 4 different usernames and passwords.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

In the system you can build groups that can then be used for auto-assigning training. The definitions you build in those groups are not editable though. You have to start over. So for example, you want all employees in the departments of Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, and OB/GYN to automatically assigned a course titled Restraint Training. You build a group that contains those departments. 3 months later, you want to remove OB/GYN, you would need to start over and rebuild that definition. When you have a lot of departments in a definition, this is painful.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

It is a wonderful tool and will meet all your needs. Make sure you have someone in the System Administrator role who is technology savvy.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Centralized training environment where we can meet all our training needs for online, ILT, etc. This has become especially important when most of our training has moved to on-line during this COVID epidemic. We are also able to offload some of the administrative work to other support personnel throughout the facility. Having Cornerstone as our one central system has made passing our Hospital Accreditation survey much easier.

  ### 36. Cornerstone - A Better Learning Platform than others in the same space

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Pharmaceuticals | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Configuration Options;
Learner Home;
Learn App

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Support SLAs - The support SLAs are longer than market standards. Multiple follow ups are required in few low priority cases.
Reporting - Even thought Reporting 2.0 gives a better experience and has a few missing functionalities, the module is still isn't matured to cater a few requirements.
Learn App - Though the Learn App is better than many available apps in the market, it still lacks a few tiny features that could have shot the user experience to another level.
Platform is rigid - A few configurations are too rigid and can't be changed.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

It's a better Learning platform compared to others available in market targeted to support majority of your requirements.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cornerstone Learning is a better compliant solution. It caters majority of audit requirements apart from a few which may come in near future. CSOD Learning has plenty of unique features which have been customized as per use cases. The learning module is well supported / integrated by / to other modules. There are plenty of benefits whcih the platform provides and help drive the learning strategy

**Official Response from Lindsey Haines (Deane):**

> Thank you for your feedback. We take every review seriously and appreciate any opportunity to improve. We saw that you list some areas of improvement, but would welcome you to share more details by sending us an email at wecare@csod.com. Once again, we appreciate your feedback and hope we can turn your experience around. Thank you for being a valued customer!

  ### 37. User Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

This is the most intuitive LMS platform I have worked on and I have experience with quite a few. The system is very user friendly. Product support is plentiful and available in multiple formats such as Online Help and the CSC.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

The system is robust so it can be hard to keep up on all the latest features and functionalities that are not relevant to your daily activities. This is a good problem to have though. I am always learning new system details!

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work for eSkillz and help clients across multiple industries solve their HR and L&D initiatives using CSOD in many ways. It has been wonderful to see clients embrace the system to deliver training and business support via the system during COVID when so many teams are working remotely. The system has continued to be part of content delivery solutions.

  ### 38. Leaders elevating employees engagement

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Always the best way to get a 5 starts team is giving the proper information/education. Cornerstone Learning are leaders on e-learning platforms and it has helped my team to bring better results and it means profits. On the other hand, if your employees feels that you care about them and they always have something else to learn they will be with your company and always with great job. If you want a perfect team you must teach them and Cornerstone Learning helps with it.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

I wish it were less expensive as we would love to purchase their others modules

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

It is a very helpfull tool. On every e-learning platform the secret is you compromise

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The personalization is great. It is helpful for everyone and it makes it easy to work with

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The vision, the CSM and client management

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

The frictions in the user experience, the slowness to fix some basics, the complexity of the reporting

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Well define your content governance and Organization Unit structure before deploying.
Use the Clients success center and suggestion city + customer groups to help
Treat your client success manager as an extension of your team
Do not take everything announced at convergence conference for granted. Only base your assessment on the roadmap and test, test, test

Benefits
- speed

- consolidated reporting and support

  ### 40. Cornerstone Learning review

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Our Learning Portal allows us to not only track compliance, which is important and necessary, but it also allows us the ability to get other training out to our employees on topics that may interest them and to provide ILT with many parts automated which saves us time. We especially love playlists and are using them to help curate content for easy access to learning on specific topics such as for managers.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

It's a positive and a negative that there are a lot of customization options. It's nice to have options but it's also confusing to know what settings are best for what we need. As a result, there is a lot of room for error.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling and tracking ILT. Managing compliance. Reporting. Reaching targeted audiences with targeted content. Providing curated playlists on specific topics.

**Official Response from Lindsey Haines (Deane):**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! I am glad to hear that you like the modern UI and playlists. I appreciate your candid feedback, which has been passed along to our Product team. I'd love to connect with you to better understand how you're using the product so that we improve your overall experience. Pleach out to wecare@csod.com if you'd like to continue the conversation.

  ### 41. Cornerstone on Demand Learning Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gresha D. | LMS Project Manager/Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Cornerstone has responded to clients' suggestions well over the years. The administrative support is fantastic and the platform is robust. The interface is modern and intuitive. It's definitely the Cadillac of LMS's.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Cornerstone's Learning platform is very feature rich to administer. I've implemented it several times for different clients over the last decade. If you want something simple, this isn't for you.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I support the Cornerstone Learning platform for two different clients in vastly different industries with over 2,300,000 users globally combined. It's a phenomenal tool for call centers, supply chain, utilities, and manufacturing clients.

  ### 42. Robust LMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julie R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Content management, ILT and vILT management, and Learner Home.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Some features are not intuitive. Once everything is configured, things flow pretty smoothly, but the setup can be cumbersome for some features.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automated assignment of compliance related training which saves us time and keeps us in compliance. Automated emails also keep us on target and save us time. The Learner Home home allows a fun and intuitive experience to learners looking to learn something new. This is a similar experience to Spotify and Netflix which users are accustomed to using.

  ### 43. Robust capability at an affordable cost for small business; Need tech "partner" to optimize

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The robust capabilities and ability to highly customize for our user experience and employment branding. This allows us to support our employees with rich educational opportunities, track the learning, report to leadership on learning, and grow. That allows us to serve our mission the best.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

With a robust system, comes complexity, and often times it is too complex to administer in-house. We could not fully optimize or function fully without also hiring a technology "Partner". This doubled the cost for the system, but still work it, and still competitive with other LMS platforms.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to get the learning and engagement objectives met (or surpassed) in our organization. Having this supportive learning environment creates a passionate, savvy, engaged culture in employees, which is priceless.

  ### 44. CSOD review from a large company's perspective

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Love that it is a cloud based solution that keeps clients updated with releases automatically. The end user experiences is pretty dang simple and straightforward as well.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Having a large user base of over 100k, it is pretty difficult to manage from the Administrative perspective. Other LMSs seem to be more flexible, etc. in this aspect.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Evaluate it if you can beforehand to see if it meets the needs you have. Sometimes when you see things from a high level, etc. you may be told or think it will do what you want, but won't know until you get into the system and see how it is done, etc.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great end user experience to drive high completion rates for all kinds of training initiatives.

  ### 45. LMS to lead the rest

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan M. | Learning Technology & Design Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The visuals and detailed thought behind every function within the LMS.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

There are some reporting functionality drawbacks.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

We've had a great experience over the last 3-4 years since we partnered with Cornerstone. We learn new things every day but we have had great support and always have the client success center to learn more. It has been a great partnership for our organization and we look forward to another 3 years since we just renewed the contract this year.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have gone from a very basic form of learning management systems to Cornerstone LMS. WE have imporved every aspect of our learning management including: reporting, tracking training, organization of offerings, pulling in online content through integrations, and even some social functionality.

  ### 46. Cornerstone Learning from Admin Perspective

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

I like that Cornerstone makes it easy to understand exactly what learning we have available to our employees and understand what they're engaging with to help guide decision-making.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

There are pieces of the system still using an outdated UI. While I understand the UI as an admin, it makes it difficult to onboard new admins and empower them to do their own work in the system.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cornerstone has helped us streamline our compliance process. We can get a bird's-eye view of who is and is not compliant with current requirements through reporting and make sure the entire company meets requirements. It also allowed us to move a bit of new hire training online, which has been helpful during these times.

  ### 47. Learner Home and Playlist Functionality

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Learner home is a more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing landing option. And it's AI capabilities are great as well. I especially like the playlist feature. Currently, we utilize it to feature onDemand trainings that pertain to working remotely and promote it to all employees via our Remote Work Tips website but are re looking to utilize it to promote vetted, suggested topical trainings; along with books and other pertinent materials. This is a game changer for us!

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

So far, I like everything about it and look forward to learning more about how we can advertise our instructor-led programs at the Learner Home page as well.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us better utilize our onDemand trainings, videos and books.

  ### 48. Continually improving product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Warehousing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

The learning assignment tool is fantastic for automated assignments. The reporting functionality is strong and there are lots of options to customize for those who need it.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

There are some pages that are not intuitive for both admin and user. Newer pages are better, but the older pages still need updating for a better user experience.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

If you are just implementing, take advantage of the Cornerstone University curricula and Product Academy. They are super helpful to new admins. Excellent tutorials on how to use the system.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving compliance and tracking issues. Cornerstone allows us to automate a lot of that and keep better, digital track of what our employees have and need to learn.

  ### 49. Feature-Rich and Flexible LMS - Great for large organizations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jasmine T. | President, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

I really like all of the options. I can get down there and customize what I need to. I also like the support provided to customers through the Client Success Center. It's great that everything is driven by the needs/wants of customers. There is a lot of training support available to us to find answers to questions. It fills in the gap where CSOD support is lacking (in speed, although getting faster).

I like that you can always reach a support person as well.

I also really like the new/updated designs of features such as "Browse for Courses" and the "Training Details Page." I think the UI/UX is headed in the right direction, and look forward to where things are headed.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

I dislike the ability to view activity logs (i.e. all the actions the user has taken within the LMS, including failed login attempts). I also dislike the reporting features. It's too difficult for non-tech savyy people to see the info they need. It's heavily reliant on a LMS admin. I also don't like that I can't search through settings. I should be able to type in an admin setting.

Additionally, I dislike the rigidness with reporting structures and permissions. Our organization is a matrix organization, whereas Cornerstone is designed more for linear organizations. There are some customizations that you can do, but it should be easier. We should be able to more easily assign learning assignments to those who are not direct reports. Additionally, you should be able to easily assign things to indirect reports.

It's a double edged sword. The LMS is powerful, but at the same time it's so complex that it's not as intuitive. With Security Permissions, it would be great if we could answer a questionnaire about what the person needs to do.

I am concerned that Cornerstone is spreading and growing too large/wide, without going back and putting forth a major effort to overhaul the existing features. I really want Cornerstone to sit down and think about how they can redesign things to be even more user-friendly. As an administrator, I end up having to fully manage everything instead of empowering others to do basic things. It's just so complex.

I dislike that there are several features that must be activated manually. Not all companies have skilled administrators who keep up with the release information. It would be great if there could be alerts within Cornerstone, after releases, that guided people through (on screen) the new features that could be turned on.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

I recommend completing the fundamentals training in the Success Center. They are very helpful and will answer most questions. It's a complex system, so at the least, it will help you understand the language and the thought-process behind how it has been programmed.

I also recommend that you attend Convergence at least once. This will help you feel the excitement, see how other people are using the LMS, make some contacts (which are great when you need help), and receive a high-level understanding of Cornerstone as a company.

I also recommend attending the Learning Community of Practice meetings, get involved with your Regional Groups, and attend learn-it-live sessions. All of these are very helpful with helping you get up to speed.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, we're solving having a central record for for learning/training. Previously, each department could decide what system they'd use. When legal matters or issues of compliance came up, it was difficult to gather the records. With Cornerstone, all of that has become a lot easier.

We've also been able to easily transfer all learning to virtual during COVID. Classes that were previously taught in person, are now scheduled in Cornerstone.

Another problem we're solving is not receiving feedback from new hires and managers on the first 90-days. With Cornerstone, we've been able to use Engage to send surveys and get feedback. We're able to more easily track if we've received those surveys or not.

We're also solving the issue of needing to assign New Hires training. Dynamic assignments work great with doing that!

  ### 50. Great LMS - Abundance of Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?**

Easy for students/users to use. So many help guides to bring a new admin up to speed. Basic content uploads and catalog items is intuitive. There is a simplicity for basic items that is great. Cyberu additions to catalog has been great.

**What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?**

Steep learning curve as an admin for non-minor items... not intuitive learning why certain features need turned on/off until repercussions down the road. Help guides great up until a point... once you've read them all and searched for additional help, often have to get help from 3rd party consultant who may not know either. Reporting function not accurate - will include duplicates of info quite often, have to do a ton of cleanup before sending enterprise-wide report to c-suite. Would love if you can put better restrictions on pre-prequisites (ie had to take pre-requisite within current year.. not just anytime ever 5 years ago). Reporting, Evaluations, data lacking.

**Recommendations to others considering Cornerstone Learning:**

Have a plan and a roadmap ; understand your business and users needs.

**What problems is Cornerstone Learning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great for annual compliance refreshers, fantastic dynamic assignment tools to fine-tune your needs. Love being able to catch new hires and new employees into certain cost centers with daily refresh of certain dynamic assignments for federal compliance training. On-time, on demand training has been helpful for those working from home - grab the training they need now.
