The availability of a free version with basic member management, reporting, and filtering is a helpful feature for churches on a budget. Its responsive user interface ensures a smooth experience without visible crashes or errors, while reliable customer support is readily available to assist users. Additionally, the software has been successfully utilized as a project in three churches within our Church district for over two years, providing valuable insights and support. **What do you dislike about ChurchTrac?** Despite its functionality, the software's user interface feels outdated and could benefit from modernization. Paid features come at a relatively high cost, potentially limiting access for smaller churches with limited resources. Managing fine-grained permissions and hierarchical church organization structures can be complex. **What problems is ChurchTrac solving and how is that benefiting you?** It centralizes member information, making it easily accessible and eliminating scattered records. Filtering and generating reports become effortless, enabling quick access to specific data for informed decision-making. The software also helps manage reminders for birthdays, memorial dates, and anniversaries, fostering stronger connections within the congregation. You subscribe based on the number of people who you have in your database. It keeps people records, giving records, it can do accounting, it integrates with MailChimp and Trellio to help send messages. You can automate scheduling and reminders for volunteers in worship and other events, track attendance, and even run standard and custom reports. **What do you dislike about ChurchTrac?** In the people section, you have to add a custom date for anniversaries and it sometimes is hard to run anniversary reports based on that. The age category for students is often not helpful because they are ranges and you have to remember to move people up or down to the next or previous age category. **What problems is ChurchTrac solving and how is that benefiting you?** ChurchTrac is seeking to be a partner with congregations in their administrative tasks. They constantly are improving and updating and they have extremely helpful webinars and a great YouTube Channel. I have personally benefitted from the ability to have an integrated messaging system for voice, text, and e-mail conversations. ### 3. From Accounting to parishioner database to register events. This is all a church needs. And the price is amazingly lower than any other equivalent system with great service. **What do you dislike about ChurchTrac?** The only con is that you have to have a Stripe account to accept payments/donations. We already had a Stripe account, so that was not an issue, but ChurchTrac doesn't allow for any other options at this time. **What problems is ChurchTrac solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before ChurchTrac, we had an array of apps that the staff used but it becomes confusing and having to make monthly payments on all the different applications used. Now it's all in one and all staff can access it. ### 4. Who would have thought you can import a song chart and transpose the chords at the click of a button? The processes functionality helps you keep track of outreach to new vistors and ongoing needs of members. You can build your own app with customized response cards and announcements. And of course adding contacts and inputting the Sunday contributions is a breeze. Input your Mailchimp API to keep your databases in sync with a click. The online giving is flawless and easy and imports automatically into your contribution history in seconds. We've only just begun exploring all this program has to offer. Impressed is an understatement. I am blown away, it is so much more than I thought I was getting! **What do you dislike about ChurchTrac?** I haven't experienced any flaws in the program itself. If I had a wish it would be that there was a downloadable app on Google play or the other app stores. Communication of the saving of the website link on the homescreen has been a little tricky and I'm spending a lot of time helping people save the icon to their home screen. We are unable to use the Accounting feature because it does not produce financial statements or allow journal entries. So, if you are an organization that has assets the Accounting feature cannot replace your current accounting system. **What problems is ChurchTrac solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before ChurcTrac, we were spread across 4 different software programs. Consolidation is allowing us to save money in monthly fees while getting so many features we never dreamed of. It's also saving us time administratively by avoiding duplicative entries in multiple systems and time in the administration of different agreements. Bonuses as mentioned above are the ability to create an app, create customized processes so people don't fall through the cracks, and do worship planning complete with linking to Song Select! ### 5. It is interesting how this system can issue clear and detailed reports in order to save time for the pastor or the personnel in charge of making decisions. This software is very flexible and can be adapted to any type and size of a church, it also allows all the information to be hosted in the cloud in order to use this system when necessary and from where one is. In truth, I am very grateful for this software since it allows us as a church to have all the administration in order. **What do you dislike about ChurchTrac?** The system is incredible and I do not have any complaints, but if it seemed strange to me that your technical support team does not have a chat system in order to be able to handle the doubts and problems in real time, they remain with the old mail system where one must wait for them to attend. **Recommendations to others considering ChurchTrac:** I can recommend this system with total security that will be very useful in the administrative management of the church. Maybe you'll say that its price is a bit high, but let me tell you it's worth it. **What problems is ChurchTrac solving and how is that benefiting you?** This system allowed us to have a better organization and to be able to decentralize a little the duties and the accomplishment of the tasks by the ministers in charge of the management and the good functioning of the different departments or better called ministries. This system has also given the pastor of the church a complete and real-time visualization of everything that happens in the different ministries wherever he is. ### 8. I love that you are able to keep track of you members, accounting, contributions, and budgeting all in one place. You can also run reports as needed. The fact that the software is cloud-based is also nice. This way, no matter where I am, I can access the data as needed. It is a very useful and powerful tool. **What do you dislike about ChurchTrac?** At times, tasks are a little cumbersome. If you used the PC based software and transferred to the cloud-based software, you may have some trouble with the transition. Tech support will try to assist, but I basically had to sort the issue out for myself. **Recommendations to others considering ChurchTrac:** I would recommend watching any and all tutorial available for using ChurchTrac. This would help you to become familiar with the product and how to use it. Also, despite my experience, tech support is responsive. So, if you have any issues, I would recommend contacting them to see if they can assist with any questions and/or problems. Also, it would help to have as few users as possible and a routine in entering data. The fewer amount of people entering data, the cleaner and more consistent your data will remain. **What problems is ChurchTrac solving and how is that benefiting you?** The software will assist with keeping track of member addresses, birthdays, and major life events. You can also keep track of contributions, budgeting, and accounting. You will also be able to run various reports based on the data you enter. There are also some other paid services the software has to offer that you can take advantage of at any time. ### 10. So far, I think this is the best Church software I've used. **What do you dislike about ChurchTrac?** No complaints. My needs were based on the fact that the person who configured our system originally did not do it correctly, so I am reinventing the wheel. Before using churchtrac we did not have a database of church members, so we could not track them and lacked a sense of belonging among the majority of church members, as they felt we did not care because we did not look for them. when they are absent but with a church runway. ### 11. I've helped two other churches find databases, and I wish I would've known about ChurchTrac then. It has all the functions of "the big guns" that you know the names of at a fraction of the cost. All the info is in one place, and everyone who needs to have that info can access it.
