Candidate.fyi played a helpful role in elevating the candidate experience at Thrive Market during a time of rapid scaling and increased hiring volume. The platform provided a centralized and polished hub where candidates could easily access interview logistics, prep materials, and company information. This reduced back-and-forth communication and empowered candidates to feel more confident and informed going into interviews.

Key benefits included:

Streamlined Interview Logistics: Automatically generated candidate portals helped ensure consistent communication across all interview stages.

Enhanced Candidate Experience: Personalized landing pages reflected Thrive Market’s brand and mission, reinforcing our commitment to transparency and care.

Reduced Coordinator Workload: By automating candidate communication touchpoints, Candidate.fyi allowed our Recruiting Coordination team to focus more on white-glove support and high-priority tasks.

What do you dislike about candidate.fyi?

Manual Setup Process: Portal creation was largely manual, requiring significant effort per candidate, which offset time savings.

Slow Time to Value: Given the operational overhead and competing priorities, we weren’t able to dedicate the bandwidth required to fully realize the tool’s ROI.

Not Scalable for Our Team Structure: Without automation or deeper integration with our ATS, it became difficult to justify the time investment required to maintain it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is candidate.fyi solving and how is that benefiting you?

Candidate.fyi helped us create a more polished and consistent candidate experience, especially during periods of high interview volume. It gave candidates one place to go for interview details, prep materials, and company info, which made things feel more organized and aligned with our brand.

It also took some of the repetitive work off our Recruiting Coordinators by handling logistics we were otherwise communicating manually. That said, one of the things we appreciated was how it encouraged us to be more intentional about candidate-facing content—something that sometimes gets deprioritized when hiring moves fast.

Having visibility into whether candidates were actually engaging with the materials was also a plus. It helped give us a pulse on preparedness and interest without relying solely on anecdotal feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
