**What do you like best about Banyan Technology?**

The ease of use and the customer service experience. The team treats all of the items sent/requested with a sense of urgency.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

Some of the linking of items in the Less than Truckload realm where items are not mapped as expected. This can normally be fixed - just creates challenges when setting up the system.

**What problems is Banyan Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Banyan platform is helping with getting rates back to end customers with options in a speedy fashion and this helps in growing the business with the customer. They also help with mass rating and these tools are very helpful in meeting customer requests for RFQs.

**What do you like best about Banyan Technology?**

This platform can be customized to suit the user's needs. Every LSCM company has differnet business processes and therefore different needs.  There is not a single out-of-the-box solution on the market that will readily encompass all of those requirements. Banyan Technology's Development and Solutions Departments provide it's customer's with creative options, tailored to suit specific business requisites.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

The end-to-end implementation of the Banyan platform can sometimes be a long and cumbsersome one.  Banyan Technology doesn't understand a business' processes in the same way that the every-day users of the software would. Banyan Solutions Specialists are quick to adapt the software, however, both Banyan Technology and it's customer might benefit from a more in-depth intial deep dive of a client's usage goals before the go-live stage.  Put shortly, building the Banyan platform into a company's business processes allows it to become a more permanent fixture that the client then doesn't have to ability to function normally without.

**What problems is Banyan Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Bamyan Technology has allowed us to view rates across multiple avenues, side by side, in real-time.  The obvious benefits of this include time and cost savings.

**What do you like best about Banyan Technology?**

Their support team is great! They are easy to contact, a pleasure to communicate with, very knowledgeable and quick to fix your problem.

One member Adel was amazing. He contacted a carrier himself to obtain necessary info. Then showed tremendous patience and diligence repeatedly explaining the problem and solution to the carrier company, for them to finally understand the issue was on their end. I am grateful for Adel's efforts, as this situation would have been a nightmare without him.

The tms itself is quite intuitive and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

Implementation was a bit of a headache at times, however I may have gotten unlucky with the person who set us up. I think the nature of their business can be difficult, especially when working with api's/rating for smaller carrier companies. However I do wish certain api aspects were working correctly - which should be fixed soon.

**What do you like best about Banyan Technology?**

Banyan is very easy to use, and you can import all of our products into the Banyan data base.  Banyan reports are very helpful to help reduce freight rates in the system.  Banyan is very helpful shipping LTL and full truckload.  Banyan will Dispatch the truck too.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

If you are shipping more than one product on one pallet some LTL carriers quote the incorrect amount.

**What problems is Banyan Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fixing the API connection with XPO.

Nothing so far.  We continue to evolve with our product offerings and they evolve with us.

We needed a connected and evolving TMS to be in the game.  Banyan brought to us a TMS, reliable carrier connectivity, and an evolving platform focussed around North American transportation.

**What do you like best about Banyan Technology?**

The Banyan platform is one of the only TMS systems that we have worked with that allows users to multi-mode rate on one screen to ensure the right mode, carrier, cost and service are selected for every shipment.

The management team at Banyan are always looking at ways to improve the application and look to partner with companies that make the system more powerful and useful to all of their customers.

The Banyan account, implementation and support teams are deeply involved in our success every step of the way.  TMS is all they do so we don't have to fight other areas for resources.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

There isn't much negative to state about Banyan.  They listen to their customers and most of the areas that have been pain points in the past have already been addressed or are on their development roadmap.

**What problems is Banyan Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Banyan helps us and our customers make informed decisions on each and every shipment.  It also helps us look at internal and external compliance to ensure that operations are running as efficiently and cost effectivley as possible.  The BI, data and analytics tools make it easier to do that than we have been able to do previously.

The adaptability and ease of pulling my data. It's super easy.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

The power BI modules are at requests only. The method for contracted freight also went in house with matrices and it's a little constricting for me to change my contracted lanes.

**What problems is Banyan Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

RFP tools and Contracted lanes. RFP tools will help us hopefully to conduct our rfp in an easy and timely manner and alleviating the manual process. The contracted lanes will hopefully be more manageable and able to be user input.

The TMS is highly configurable to individual client needs. The customer support is second to none; they always try to do what's best for the client. They are trying to be innovators in the industry and it shows.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

Truckload capabilities are not quite there yet.

**What problems is Banyan Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our customers are in the portal everyday making better freight decisions. The team is using Banyan's Freight Bill Management tool to make sure invoices are correct and on time. The TMS and it's functionality has saved my team multiple hours in their day to day.

Banyan is an integration partner. My team works closely with the integrations, partnerships, and marketing side of Banyan. Everyone is very kind to work with, the team responds quickly and communicates well, I would recommend mutual customers work with Banyan.

There is not downside that comes to mind.

Banyan integrates with our Load Board, allowing brokers to Post Loads onto the Truckstop Load Board. This allows the mutual customer, broker, to get more freight out to the marketplace quickly and efficiently.

Banyan application provides an End to end solution for all frieght related tasks. be it shipping or tracking management. the onboarding is easy on this and software has a FMS  solution for all sorts of user needs.

the customer service is nice but could be improved and rates are a bit high as compared to peers which could be improved.

the banyan software is helping our clients to manage the frieght smoothly by keeping all the records in clean manner with live tracking fecility. 
the automated billing and record keeping is a nice feature. Carriers tracking and rating is also a nice to have feature that is quite useful.

While there are many features that Banyan offers our transportation business that we have not yet taken advantage of, the shipment management, routing, tracing, carrier monitoring and document retreival has brought tremendous efficiency to our daily operations.

Nothing at this...just need to find the time to take advantage of more offerings.

We have evaluated Banyan Technology from an investment perspective. The value prop of the platform in terms of operating in the end-to-end process flow, coupled with invaluable insghts into cost leakages makes Banyan Technology a must-have in certain businesses.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

Banyan Technology seems to at times overcharge the customer, as a result of which the customer churn was relatively high. The lifetime value of the client took a hit because of high pricing modules.

**What problems is Banyan Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned earlier, Banyan Tech uses automated contract rates tooffer seamlessOver The Roads (OTR) modules. This is a very unique value proposition to the clients. The present systems are very disaggregated, and the nature of the industry makes it a tough one to operate in.

Good to work with and has a good overall product.
Customer Service easy to work with and very knowledgeable of the product.
Willing to discuss the specifics and grass roots items.
Helpful when dealing/discussing with clients what can be done.
Willing to go above the call to meet with clients, podcasts, webcasts, etc.
Sometimes they are put in the middle with situations, but handle with professionalism and grace.
Very appreciative of us, their customer.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

Loaded Question. Do not want the negatives to be viewed as 'deal breakers'.
Would like to see the Pro number have a larger impact on data gathering, instead of BOL number.  The BOL/PO numbers can be duplicated by clients and sometimes it creates issues on the FBM/Reverse side.
Some of the reports need a quick (cheat sheet) explanation.  Only use a few, want to use more.

**What do you like best about Banyan Technology?**

Their proficiently trained personnel consistently offer prompt assistance and support. Utilizing their software has significantly enhanced our operational efficiency, enabling us to seamlessly rate, track, and invoice each less than truckload (LTL) shipment.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

Like any software system, occasional glitches may arise, although fortunately, they are not a weekly occurrence. Apart from that, we have no complaints whatsoever.

**What problems is Banyan Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most significant improvement we've experienced is the capacity to promote our door-to-door service to Mexico. Providing less than truckload (LTL) service in Mexico presents unique challenges, particularly in terms of support once shipments are in motion. However, with Banyon, we have successfully navigated these challenges and now offer extensive coverage in the region.

**What do you like best about Banyan Technology?**

We were able to integrate this with our current system, automating our logistics process and taking out the tedious tasks of copying and pasting all of the data from our current system. We went from having 4 people processing shipments all day every day to one person spending an hour a day on the shipping process, freeing up our time to do many other things within our company.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

Only downside is not being able to add carriers myself and having to wait for someone to do it for you.

**What problems is Banyan Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has completely solved the tedious tasks we had previously and allowed our company to grow, while still maintaing the same great level of service we had previously.

Easy access to the TMS web portal, very intuitive.  
Always on the cutting edge of technology.
Not only does Patrick /team respond in the same day.  They typically respond within a 1 hour timeframe. 
The Connect 2023 was extremely helpful in pointing out other helpful opportunities and was a great opportunity to network

I wish we could utilize all the features

**What problems is Banyan Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our suppliers utilize the web portal, so most often we are troubleshooting getting the supplier set up correctly with a UserID/PW.  Helps us get our freight booked in an efficient manner.   The team also helped us figure out the dock times (military time) so that we could book accordingly.  

Always extremely helpful!

Patrick our account manager is always very quick with responses and very knowledgeable in the serivces he provides. It is very easy to use the Banyan system for our batch LTL rating.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

When uploading large LTL batch file it may take up to a full day to get results back.

**What problems is Banyan Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is allowing us to rate our LTL shipments quickly and efficiently from multiple providers.

Once you learn the quirks and nuances of API, the system is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

Not much.  They have no fix for a more uniform and universal application for carriers.  I would like to see more Administrative acess to update profiles (shipper, carrier, etc.)

Updating Carrier Profiles, Clients' Carrier Mgmt.   It would keep things more uniform when reviewing client information

The company uses Banyan all day, everyday so we needed a TMS platform that would be easy to use and understand. Banyan has been quick to resolve issues. The freight bill management is great. The team is wonderful to work with.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

The platform looks a bit dated but it works well. There have been some issues created by Banyan but they have been quick to resolve them. The implementation was slower than anticipated.

We use Banyan for freight rating, BOL generation, and freight bill management. We have started using the freight analytics to better track and understand our freight spend.

Great technology, leverages LTL carrier API's.   Multi-mode capable for Parcel, LTL and TL.   Easy to use.

**What do you like best about Banyan Technology?**

THe ability to access and rate my LTL contracts within my own platform. The interface and ease of using the product has given me an advantage to be quick to market and remain relvent to my customers.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

The ability to do qucik searches. However - as long as I have some basic criteria - the serach does not take me long to find what I may be looking for (a quote number). I would like to perahsp look at how the quote ID can be provided back to my system when booking an LTL provider - so that if a disupute come over on an invoice - and there is no WNI - the quote ID can be used as a referance in the dispute.

The Banyan Conference was an immersive experience that allowed me to network with industry experts and peers alike.   I also enjoyed the breakout sessions, particulary the Carbon Emmision and the US - Mexico shipping sessions.

Banyan has proved that my company has strong aggreements, but we have not utilized the proper shippers for proper lanes.  Banyan as allowed my company to diversify our shipping partners and ensure we are using the correct carrier for the correct lane.

 - Freight Bill Management to monitor carrier invoicing and identify discrepancies
 - Analysis Tool to bulk rate in response to RFP's
 - Reporting Tool to identify shipment patterns and trends

Banyan is a powerful tool that we use in our less than truckload space. It has really allowed us to be more versatile in our approach to our customers and their support to us as their customer has been top-notch as well.

We have not seen any downsides to partnering with Banyan at this point.

Banyan is allowing us to streamline our LTL dispatching. We have built out a carrier select platform which puts us far ahead of other brokerages that are our size. It has helped us win customers, and the system does a great job with tracking and documentation as the load progresses.

We use a custom WMS into Banyan.  Patrick and the team have been phenomenal at streamlining the APIs and interfaces to work well.  The reporting is elegant an very modular and intuitive.  The bill checking is excellent as well.

Can't come up with a real thing I dislike.

We are able to simply quote freight, choose the proper carrier at the proper cost/time equation and book it online.  Its a good TMS system.

Ability to customize when needed. Admin controls. Over the years we have seen vast improvement, especially on down time. Banyan staff is great to work with.

**What do you dislike about Banyan Technology?**

System is not intuitive enough. Some examples. (1) Volume Rating: Users don't fill out the UI correctly, missing the linear footage. (2) Carrier display name is the only means of manipulation to let users know critical information about a carrier (negates guaranteed service levels language). (3) The user does not know to scroll up to book a load if a rate is too far down the list of carriers that returns rates. (4) I've seen a major increase in dispatch failure messages stating "IT has been notified" (no help to the user to help identify the issue so they can fix it and retry the pickup request). (5) After a load successfully dispatched, the green arrow going back and forth to the In-transit button is confusing, it makes the user think they have to click the button, which we strongly discourage. (6) Hazmat: Users are confused re: filling out the Proper Hazmat Shipping Name and also filling out the Description field (making the BOL non-compliant) (7) If there is a space behind the BOL number when searching for a BOL, system will not pull up the load, you have to remove the space at the end in order for the load to come up.(8) User has to click "Include cancelled Loads, makes it difficult when searching for loads?"(9) Many, many times after filling out specs to run a rate, no rates will return and we get message stating "This load does not have any rates", then will need to click "get rates" again.(10) After rates are ran, user do not know what the next step is. The system does not guide them / inform them the next step is to create the BOL.

Banyan has the technology and current mapping to bring back rates via API for all common LTL carriers. We've been able to heavily customize Banyan to meet our needs like connecting to our insurance company via API, adding accessorials specific to our company, customized BOLs, customized features. Helping our clients / guiding them when needed to connect via web services.

Implementation was very poor. Does not seem like as much attention has been given to truckload as LTL.

Banyan is sourced to be our complete TMS solution for all modes. Interface is incredibly user friendly, everyday users find using the system be straight-forward and easy to use. API and rate structures are much easier to use then in other systems I have used. Freight bill management has some great tools.
