"Cloud services"
What do you like best about Bandwidth?

Recently they contracted with new third party and since them caller ID name on inbound calls has been incorrect. They indicate this should be fixed as when they bring on additional secondary and tertiary providers but this doesn't fix the current issue and we've been forced to consider moving client numbers to a different provider for the time being. What do you dislike about Bandwidth?

Better communication with clients and more thorough testing before making these large changes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Matt Ruehlen of Bandwidth

Hello,

Thank you for this incredibly thorough review and pointing out our network ownership - the network ownership and control is certainly an advantage for us and does allow finer tuning of call quality.

To that end, we are continuing to invest heavily in new monitoring and alarming tools to provide even greater performance visibility. I'd encourage you to speak with your account manager for more information on these new capabilities if you haven't already.

You do point out several areas that are a larger challenge in telecommunications and we hope to continue simplifying 'Telecomplexity' for our customers in the advancements we continue to make on our new Universal Platform.

Thank you for trusting us with your business,

"Customer First Approach"
What do you like best about Bandwidth?

Great support throughout a range of different areas. An amazing self serve portal, with personal account management that helps drive continuous results for our end users. Commercially flexible which allows us to position opportunities in ways that provide greater success rates. The porting and implementation of numbers is an easy process with support provided when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bandwidth?

The one thing missing for 6DG is having the ability to allow our customers to contract direct with bandwidth for countries where regulations hamper us providing a service. If there was a simple model we could adapt where for certain countries, the end user could contract direct with Bandwidth but allow 6DG to manage the solution we could enhance our go to market on a more global scale. What do you like best about Bandwidth?

We've been using Bandwidth for years, customer service is always great and knowledgeable. We are happy with the service offered and the reliability! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bandwidth?

Cost is always a hot topic, expanding areas of direct routing to lower routing costs would be great. Also expaning on failover routing options to allow response code control would be a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Bandwidth has become much less user friendly over the last couple of years"
What do you like best about Bandwidth?

Ports are easy and straighforward to submit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bandwidth?

The current employees at Bandwidth do not understand porting and it's been difficult with Bandwidth now outsourcing their employees. They don't seem to speak English very well and therefore cannot explain rejections for ports and assist in the porting process. The Bandwidth APP often has issues and we have been receiving many rejections for ports that I feel are caused by Bandwidth on the processing end. There are many changes being made to the Bandwidth APP that aren't positive. Porting has become much more difficult and we don't get the support we need from well trained reps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Laney Alspaugh of Bandwidth

"Required password updates are too restrictive"
What do you like best about Bandwidth?

I primarily use the reports to gather billing info for our customers. The reports are good and responsive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bandwidth?

Your required password updates are too restrictive time-wise.One time I got an email that arrived on a Sunday morning and expired before I saw the email.

Today I was lucky and received the email in time that I could use the button and update. But the first two times I tried it told me that the password had either non-keyboard or space characters in it.

Fortunately I was able to get it accepted. I copied in the same password all three times. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Matt Ruehlen of Bandwidth

Hello,

Thank you for your review and for the positive feedback on our reporting tools.

I also appreciate your sharing of the specifics on your experience with password updates. Our system is designed to send notifications at 10 days prior to expiration, and then 5 days, and finally 1 day before a password expires. It sounds like you had a different experience here that I'd like to learn more about.

If you'd be willing, please email me directly at mruehlen@bandwidth.com. I'd like to confirm the details to ensure we address this properly.

Thank you for trusting us with your business,

"Bandwidth's support is quite easily the worst I have encountered in tech!"
What do you like best about Bandwidth?

When working, Bandwidth is fine. It serves its purpose like any other company could do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bandwidth?

Their customer support is literally the worst I have ever come across! I am a customer success manager for a portfolio of customers and we utilize bandwidth for the clients to use sms within our flatform to support & run their businesses. We had a large group of customers whose sms suddenly went down with 0 warning or notice that they were out of compliance. That is not the worst. It has been 6 weeks and some of these customers are still down! Bandwidths support sometimes takes an entire week to respond and they are incredibly unhelpful. No matter how we try to help our customers by escalating, we cannot get a response. Bandwidth's support is quite easily the worst I have encountered in tech! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Laney Alspaugh of Bandwidth

Thank you for your feedback regarding your support experience, Kristi. We take these concerns seriously and would appreciate the chance to address them.
