There are wide variety of triggers available. Also single purpose Microservices can be easily written in lambda and invoked from API gateway.

Layers.

All the dependencies needs to be packed in zipped folder and add that as layer. But if the dependancy version change then changing same in layers is difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
