The Apptega platform helps our organizations streamline their ongoing cybersecurity and compliance efforts. It automates and simplifies managing and reporting on these programs, reducing manual work, and allowing teams to more quickly identify and prioritize risks and communicate those to leadership. The ability to manage multiple compliance frameworks like NIST, CMMC, GLBA, etc. and map common controls allows organizations to crosswalk programs and gain a holistic view of compliance status to make strategic and informed decisions.

During compliance assessments and/or security audits, the platform automates evidence collection, reducing the burden on staff, and ensuring that evidence is readily available for audits. Evidence is directly linked to specific controls from NIST 800-171, HIPAA, etc., and can be uploaded to the platform or linked to internal resources like SharePoint. Specific tasks like vulnerability scans or the collection of compliance documentation can be assigned to team members and set up with reminder notifications based on ongoing recurrence or due dates. Because of all of the features/functionality that can be utilized within the Apptega platform, determining how to initially configure and deploy the platform can be a bit daunting. However, the Apptega Customer Success Team is very engaged and is dedicated to helping organizations understand how best to implement the tool. They are a great resource and share strategies based on lessons learned from other organizations, so our organizations can start realizing the value of the platform almost immediately. What I like best about Apptega is the customer success team that it makes available to me. It is very clear to me that Apptega wants my organization to succeed in using all the bells and whistles that the Apptega GRC tool offers. I have regular interactions with the customer success manager that was assigned to me and I know that each time I reach out with a question I will receive a very quick response. I am very impressed with the professionalism and care that Will, my customer success manager has shown over the past year. On a side note, I also like that each year we track and assess my Apptega goals - this means that the Apptega personnel understand my specific needs and we get to prioritize those features - which helps my organization in accomplishing our roadmap. The harmonizing of frameworks means answering one thing can check the box in multiple compliances. The shared evidence store saves hundreds of hours and allows updating of evidence one time - so all the places that use it. The shared resources also apply to the risk register, vendors, and controls.

It doesn't read evidence/policies to produce AI-suggested recommendations. The recommendations are based upon training from public analysis of that item in a particular framework. i.e., the recommendation is good but not tuned to your particular organization. What I like best about Apptega is how it brings all of our cybersecurity and compliance work into one place. The most helpful part of Apptega is its ability to streamline project tracking and evidence collection. We can easily assign owners, set timelines, upload supporting documents, and monitor progress from one dashboard. This turns what used to be a scattered, manual process into a clear, auditable workflow that keeps everyone aligned and accountable. The dashboards and scoring tools also make it simple to show leadership where we stand and what gaps need attention. I like how easy Apptega is to use. Everything is pretty seamless, and the support is really good. They're constantly updating the platform with new things, which I appreciate. I really value the assessment platform because it allows you to go through pretty seamlessly and score assessments and generate reports from those assessments. When it comes to the initial setup, despite a few hiccups, the process was very easy, and there were people who joined the call with us that helped get everything squared away pretty quickly. The number of available compliance frameworks. Irrespective of the business line you are into, they have wide variety of frameworks included in their platform. Very easy to launch the framework and convert them into program. Their customer support is awesome. It helps us use it every day without any trouble. Since it is cloud based there is no implementation. As soon as you get your credentials, you are good to go.
