It allows to identify gaps in controls before having a 3rd audit performed. Allows for Vendor security questionnaires to be sent out at the same time so a common deadline can be met for review. I am very impressed with the professionalism and care that Will, my customer success manager has shown over the past year. Once that is accomplished, the tool is very straightforward. **What problems is Apptega solving and how is that benefiting you?** My organization previously struggled to maintain visibility and documentation of key GRC information. The shared evidence store saves hundreds of hours and allows updating of evidence one time - so all the places that use it. The shared resources also apply to the risk register, vendors, and controls. Assigning tasks to other staff overcomes one of the primary problems with compliance - getting other departments to help out with their parts. **What do you dislike about Apptega?** It doesn't read evidence/policies to produce AI-suggested recommendations. The recommendations are based upon training from public analysis of that item in a particular framework. i.e., the recommendation is good but not tuned to your particular organization. **What problems is Apptega solving and how is that benefiting you?** Any single compliance framework is a lot of work to get ready for the audit. When you have multiple compliance requirements or frameworks the management, gathering of evidence, synchronizing changes becomes exponentially more difficult. Irrespective of the business line you are into, they have wide variety of frameworks included in their platform. Very easy to launch the framework and convert them into program. Their customer support is awesome. It helps us use it every day without any trouble. Since it is cloud based there is no implementation. As soon as you get your credentials, you are good to go. You can also integrate it with your existing cloud platforms to get your compliance visibility immediately. **What do you dislike about Apptega?** The UI can be little updated with modern look. **What problems is Apptega solving and how is that benefiting you?** After started using Apptega now we don't have to search for our answers related to our compliance requirements. I searched far and wide for a GRC platform to sell to our clients and I almost choked when I finally got to a price quote. The feature list is impressive - Risk Management - Assessment Creation -- all major frameworks are supported - Report Output in Multiple Formats - Security Program Governance - Vendor Risk Management - Audit Management - Temporary Access for Auditors - Task Management - Budget Management - Much, much more Our organization implemented SSO access, and I was astounded at how easy the implementation went. I expected a lot more back and forth. I've loved working with our Client Success Manager. I don't know how many clients he has, but he makes it seem like we're his only client. We can usually get a meeting with him in a couple days time. To sum up, our organization is very happy with Apptega. We'll likely be a partner for a long time. **What do you dislike about Apptega?** The pricing model -- price points based on the number of employees -- makes it difficult to sell this to clients at times. Some companies have thousands of employees that don't use any tech, which means they won't have any need of governance. However, those employees still factor into the price. While this is the industry standard for platform pricing, convincing a client that has GRC team of less than five people that their platform will cost >$20k is a hard sell. Luckily, Apptega works with us to lower pricing in those scenarios. The product is less mature than other solutions I've seen. This means documentation isn't as robust and enhancements aren't as refined. **What problems is Apptega solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apptega gets our consultants out of spreadsheet hell and into a modern GRC management platform. It significantly reduces the amount of time we spend managing our clients' security programs. ### 48. It allows us to manage more customers with its automated features and I love the depth of reporting and numerous frameworks that they support. The best thing about working with Apptega has been their team. From the sales team to customer success, product team, and even executive leadership, they have been fantastic to work with. They actively solicit and integrate partner suggestions to improve the platform and have gone out of their way to make us successful. **What do you dislike about Apptega?** The only down side we have come across is that some of our very largest enterprise customers are too complicated for the platform. But thats ok, that not who we are targeting with this solution. **What problems is Apptega solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apptega helps customers get out of the Excel Hell that is GRC. From an MSSP perspective, it helps us by creating reusable processes, even allowing us to leverage our own intelectual property around risk while we do it. By making processes repeatable and reportable, we can support more customers at once for less cost. It also allows us to offer more services, including vendor risk management, risk assessment, risk register, controls calendar, task management and more. ### 49. I know there is a save button on each control section but that still requires me to scroll to the bottom of the control to go save it. Sometimes I present a risk assessment live and go through it with a client and all the scrolling up and down is just a slitgh inconvenience. I also would love to be able to see the control number nect to each section. For example in the CMMC assessment, you have to expand the entire category to see the control number. It would be really helpful just to see the control number right next to the each section so that you don't have to click each drop down. **What problems is Apptega solving and how is that benefiting you?** Apptega is a huge help for Ascend in that we do not have to go dig for the most updated version of a risk assessment and we don't have to manually create a powerpoint to present our findings- we can automatically export it.
