The ambient occlusion generator saves me so much time, I used to have to bake it myself in blender ,

I don't really like the lack of option for adding normal map detail, of I project a logo onto something and try to layer it onto normals I can't control the strength of it. This would be a cool addition and save me doing it post in Photoshop Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love this new version, and it really is way above its competition. It has many points in its favor, nothing compares to Substance Painter, and this is because it is a much more complete and easy-to-use program, especially with its new user interface. What do you like best about Adobe Substance 3D Painter?

I like that it follows the setup and user aspects of most Adobe software - if you are familiar with Adobe, this program is relatively easy to use with little training, which is nice! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Substance 3D Painter?

Not much. I am not a fan of the 2D view, I always turn it off as the program is used for 3D (for my purposes). I also wish some of the macro commands (shortcuts) were different, it's annoying to go back and forth as I use this on both a mac and a pc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's a great tool! I use it to help my teachers show the children their "theories" regarding whatever their class is working on, but for graphics, artists, designers, engineers etc....this can be a great tool I think. I use this program to assist some of our classes in the school when they are working on their "long term investigations" for the year to try and create what items would look like given the theories of the children - to show them what it would look like based on what they've said/theorized. I like the way it integrates with blender as it is a free to use platform, and the ease of seeing the textures in real time while we are editing the uv maps and pictures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
