My favorite thing about this type of of texture painting application is multi-channel support. So when I paint a texture or surface it not only affects the color of the surface but also glossiness or shininess. Not only can you update your materials real time on the object but you can switch to the rendering mode which gives a incredibly quick render of the object which makes even hot garbage look like a Kardashian(or vice versa).
