"Strong lead management and automation, but pages, campaigns, and reporting feel restrictive"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I value Lead Management, Email Marketing, and Marketing Automation because they streamline marketing efforts, strengthen customer relationships, and improve conversion rates. Lead Management makes it easier to track, organise, and nurture potential customers throughout the funnel. Email Marketing supports targeted communication and more personalised engagement, helping me stay connected with the right audience at the right time. Marketing Automation saves time by automating repetitive tasks and enabling timely follow-ups, so nothing slips through the cracks. The AI can also help generate campaign content and come up with ideas quickly, which saves time during planning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Landing Pages and Forms can be restrictive and time-consuming to customise, and forms may require extra configuration to work correctly and provide a smooth user experience. Campaign Management can be complicated when setting up campaigns, managing workflows, and troubleshooting errors, especially with multiple campaigns and dependencies. Basic Reporting can lack flexibility and detailed insights, and finding the right data, customising reports, and understanding performance can take more time than expected. AI output can be fairly generic and lack personalisation, so I still need to make several edits to match the brand’s tone and target audience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"AI and automation helped target the right audience, but still needed manual review"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like that Marketo Engage made email marketing campaigns easier by letting me automate email sends, schedule follow-ups, and segment audiences based on their interests. The AI features helped identify promising leads, personalize customer communication, and optimize engagement, including email content, subject lines, and follow-up timing. Lead scoring and tracking engagement (email opens, link clicks, and website activity) also helped us qualify leads more efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Some AI recommendations still required manual review to ensure accuracy and relevance, and I still had to check data accuracy and review campaign performance. Creating campaign content and reviewing leads manually was still important to make sure everything was accurate and suitable for our audience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Marketing Automation with Room for Improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I love how the Marketing Lead Database keeps all of our lead information organized and easy to find whenever we need it. Lead Nurturing makes it simpler to automate follow-ups and stay consistent with customer engagement over time, and Campaign Segmentation helps us target specific audiences with more relevant messages. Overall it’s helped me automate and manage campaigns across multiple channels, cut down on manual work, and improve audience targeting. AI-assisted personalization has also made campaigns more relevant by tailoring messages to audience interests and behavior, even if it still needs some manual adjustments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Building and personalizing emails can be time-consuming, since customization and formatting often take extra effort. CRM lead integration can be frustrating, especially when data synchronization issues come up between systems. Reporting and analytics can feel complex too, and creating customized reports sometimes takes additional time and technical know-how. When I tried using AI to generate personalized content for different segments, the output still required a lot of manual editing to match our brand voice and campaign goals. "Strong for automation, lead nurturing, and email, but reporting and data work can be tricky"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Marketing Automation, Lead Nurturing, and Email Marketing work really well together. Marketing Automation saves a lot of time by handling repetitive tasks and keeping campaigns running smoothly. Lead Nurturing helps us stay engaged with prospects and move them through the buying journey without having to follow up manually every time. Email Marketing is essential for communicating with leads and customers in a timely, targeted way. Together, they make it much easier to manage campaigns, stay consistent, and turn leads into customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

These features can take more time and effort than expected. Data Import & Export can be a bit tricky when dealing with large or inconsistent datasets. Workflow Capability is powerful, but building and maintaining more complex workflows can get confusing. Reporting & Statistics is useful, but sometimes it takes extra effort to get the exact reports or insights you need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong email and landing page tools, but personalization and nurturing still feel manual"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I like that it helps businesses attract potential customers, communicate with them, gather information, and ultimately convert leads into customers. Building and personalizing emails, sending outbound emails, and landing pages and forms are all strong for me. I also see significant potential in the AI to improve marketing efficiency, like generating personalized email content, optimizing subject lines, and automating repetitive tasks. The AI-assisted personalization feels more advanced and makes the messaging clearer, especially for important, human-sounding communication in insurance and similar contexts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Setting up personalized content for different audience can be complicated and time-consuming. Lead nurturing and audience segmentation are not working smoothly for me, and campaign setup, content personalization, and performance analysis still feel like they require too much manual effort. I also haven’t explored some features yet because my current workflow doesn’t require it at the moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Adobe Marketo: Automation and AI personalization in the works!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I love how much it can automate and scale campaigns. For example, when someone registers for a webinar but misses it, it can automatically switch them from the webinar track to a “miss us email track” while updating CRM (Salesforce). The AI has also been a huge time saver, especially for setting up folders and naming conversations and campaigns. I also like that I can upload a design and have it automatically translate into editable HTML (great if you don’t know code). AI-assisted personalization made campaigns much more relevant too. I didn’t have to guess which case study to send. I could drop in an AI content block and it automatically displayed the exact asset most likely to convert for that buyer. What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

It can be slow and clunky, especially when you’re looking at visuals all day. Also, since it tracks a lot of data, it’s a bit hard to build reports inside the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong email personalization and nurture, but automated responses need careful setup"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Email is how we start almost every conversation with IT buyers, and Marketo makes it easy to do it well. Reusable templates keep our branding consistent while helping us launch campaigns quickly. With tokens and dynamic content, a CIO and an IT manager can receive the same campaign, but with messaging that actually fits their role. Add behavior-based nurture on top of that, and we’re able to send fewer emails that perform better, while handing sales warmer leads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Automated responses are great until they are not. Setting up the logic takes careful planning, and if a trigger or token is slightly off, the wrong message goes out to the wrong person, which is awkward when you are writing to senior IT buyers. They can also feel generic, so we spend extra time tweaking the wording to keep them sounding human. Testing each flow before launch is a must, and that adds time. Also, we do not really use full campaign management yet since our campaigns are fairly simple and we plan and track them outside the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Improved lead quality with strong customization and social media integration"
4/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I value the Social Media Integration, Customization, and Lead Generation features because they work together to help reach the right audience, create more personalized experiences, and turn potential customers into actual customers. Social media integration makes it easier to connect with and engage audiences across different platforms, and customization lets me tailor content and communication to individual needs and interests. I also like that it’s made it easier to track engagement, identify more promising leads, nurture prospects based on their interests and activity, and automate follow-ups and prioritize leads. The AI-assisted personalization and content optimization have made campaigns much more relevant and reduced the amount of manual work involved in creating and adjusting campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Internationalization can require extra time and effort to manage different languages, regions, and localized content. Sandbox and test environments can be difficult to manage because making sure everything works correctly before moving changes into production can take additional steps. Workflow Management can get complicated with multiple campaigns, triggers, rules, and dependencies, and it can feel overwhelming and difficult to troubleshoot. I don’t currently use Internationalization, Sandbox/Test Environments, or some of the more advanced Workflow Management features because they can be more complex than necessary for basic campaign and lead-management needs, and I’d prefer simpler, more intuitive options for managing and testing workflows. "Powerful multi-channel automation, but still needs heavy manual oversight"
5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The best part about Marketo is its tokenization features and reusable program templates. Once you build a standard webinar or content download program, you can clone it in seconds and just swap the tokens to update the names, dates, and links. It saves our operations team hours of manual setup time every single week Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

The initial setup and architectural configuration are incredibly complex. The learning curve is very steep for new team members, and the user interface feels a bit outdated compared to newer tools. It also requires constant monitoring to ensure data syncing with our CRM doesn't break or create duplicate records Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Challenges and Barriers to Feature Adoption"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Adobe Marketo Engage?

I value the core tools that help me plan, optimize, and manage marketing activities effectively. Campaign Management makes it easier to organize, execute, and monitor campaigns. SEO/Keyword Analytics helps strengthen online visibility by identifying high-value keywords and tracking performance over time. I also like AI Copilot for faster, data-driven decisions through intelligent recommendations and automation. Overall, it mostly helped automate and scale cross-channel campaigns. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Adobe Marketo Engage?

Some areas can be frustrating. Search Marketing demands ongoing keyword research, optimization, and constant monitoring to maintain visibility and deliver strong results. SMS Marketing is challenging because of limited message space, strict timing considerations, and the risk of irritating customers if they receive too many messages. Event/Webinar Marketing can also be frustrating since it takes substantial planning, coordination, promotion, and follow-up, and attendance and engagement still aren’t always guaranteed.
