Do the different views actually stay in sync with each other in real time, or does switching between them sometimes show a slightly different picture of the same project?

&lt;p&gt;I’d care less about how many views exist than whether they remain different representations of the same underlying work. A PM changing a deadline in Gantt should immediately change what the designer sees on the board and what the lead sees on the calendar. Once teams maintain separate information for each view, flexibility starts creating another synchronization problem.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Agreed the board is the default working view, and the one I&#39;d argue for alongside it is the calendar, specifically for cross-functional work. People commit to dates rather than columns, and seeing a deadline next to their actual meeting load is what makes a commitment realistic. Hive covering both in one workspace is the practical version of that.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;For most cross-functional teams, the board or Kanban view ends up being the one that&#39;s actually non-negotiable, since it&#39;s the only layout that reads the same way to a designer, a PM, and an exec without any translation. I&#39;ve noticed that sentiment directly in reviews too: one CTO reviewing Kanbanchi said its simplicity and design made it the only digital Kanban board with real potential to replace the physical whiteboard his team had been using. Gantt and workload views tend to matter more for reporting upward, but the board is usually what people actually work from day to day.&lt;/p&gt;
