With patches that contain high or critical fixes delivered bimonthly to standard service packs coming out quarterly, this adds value to the overall cost of Acumatica. Due to being 5 years deep into using Acumatica, I often forget how easy the onboarding was. They have a structured 21 day program which gets you ready in less than 30 days from implementation to day one roll out. On top of that they have rolled out their AI Studio which can connect LLM's through API connection to your favorite AI Provider. **What do you dislike about Acumatica?** While the advocations of using Acumatica are strong, there are some drawbacks. If your employee base are not prepared for a serious change in how the company performs their daily tasks, some might find the 21 day onboarding a bit challenging. Often we are stuck in our old ways of doing something because its become more accustom and familiar. But the benefits do outweight the initial drag of learning a new system. Since implementing 5 years ago, our average cost is not what we assumed it would be. That's primarly due to customizations and add-ons that we assumed Acumatica could handle. Which over the years some customizations have been integrated into the product you get today, so it's not like the add-ons are one off's. **What problems is Acumatica solving and how is that benefiting you?** Coming from an older, outdated AS400 system, Acumatica has provided more possibilities to grow than the siloed MSDOS system could handle. Being able to tie budgets, commitments, change orders, and billing back to individual jobs in one place has saved a lot of the manual reconciliation we used to do across separate tools. The modularity still stands out so it's easy to turn on what a given part of the business actually needs without paying for or wading through features we don't. Reporting and the ability to build our own dashboards have also made it easier to get the numbers in front of the right people without pulling everything into spreadsheets. **What do you dislike about Acumatica?** The main thing is consistency across screens. Background processing and how certain operations behave still varies from one module to the next, and the service module in particular doesn't always work the way you'd expect coming from the other areas. Tightening that up so the experience feels the same everywhere would make training new users easier and cut down on the "why does it work differently here" questions. They release a roadmap but is often lacking. Many times ISVs invest in bridging capability gaps only to find out that Acumatica itself is developing the same features. There was no prior knowledge shared with the channel. I have not seen any disadvantages to Acumatica so far. Every product has limitations.
