## CaptivateIQ Reviews
 ### 1. Easy, Flexible Dashboarding with Powerful What-If Modeling

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sridhar P. | Senior Director, Sales Compensation & Strategy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Easy to use, flexible, and great for dashboarding.

Love what-if modeling and ability to create commissions cost forecasting

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Nothing to add at this time. I’m looking forward to native agentic AI capabilities.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to do quite a few things in CaptivateIQ to improve user experience and build trust with our sales teams

1. automate all complex calculations that were done outside ICM systems earlier. Sales teams can now see the commissions and spiffs 1 day after the booking, instead of waiting till the close time

2. Able to create great commission statements and dashboards.

3. What-if modeling enables our sales teams to view the commissions and spiffs for the deals in pipeline! This also set the foundation for commissions cost forecasting

The best part is that none of these are very hard to configure and deploy!

 ### 2. Easy to navigate for Sellers and eliminate time usage.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kauvshika P. | Senior Commission Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

We are able to navigate the system much more efficiently with the new features that have been added in CIQ. Users are now able to understand their statements more clearly and are asking fewer questions. We have also been able to implement 5–7 different plan structures, enabling all of our compensation plans to be managed within the system, with nothing being done manually.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Reporting has still been challenging for us, and we are currently relying on the export features to pull the necessary data. The Elite Support team has been helpful in creating a dashboard for managers, but this feature is still not very user-friendly or easy for us to extract the data we need.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its calculating our rates and commissions efficiently. We are also about to make adjustments easily on the statements and up the hierarchy.

 ### 3. A great tool that allows me to preview my bonuses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor P. | Senior Growth Account Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2023

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

CaptivateIQ feels like a breath of fresh air for anyone who has ever spent a weekend trapped in "Excel Hell" trying to reconcile commissions. Here’s why it’s a game-changer:

Logic Without the Headache: The platform strikes a perfect balance between power and usability. You get the flexibility of complex, spreadsheet-like logic but within a sophisticated, automated environment that doesn't break every time you add a new hire.

Total Transparency: It bridges the trust gap between Finance and Sales. Reps get a clear, real-time dashboard of their earnings, which means fewer "Where is my money?" Slack messages and more time spent actually selling.

Seamless Scalability: Whether you’re managing ten reps or a thousand, the system handles data ingestion and calculation effortlessly. It’s built to grow with your comp plans, no matter how creative (or complicated) they get.

The "Peace of Mind" Factor: The audit trails and versioning are top-tier. You can make adjustments with total confidence, knowing that every change is tracked and every calculation is accurate.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Reporting Flexibility: While the dashboards are clean, sometimes getting a highly specific, ad-hoc report out of the system can feel a bit rigid. A more "drag-and-drop" custom report builder would make those last-minute leadership requests much easier to handle.

Data Sync Delays: Occasionally, when syncing large volumes of data from a CRM, it can take a moment for the updates to reflect. It’s not a dealbreaker, but in a world of instant gratification, faster real-time processing would be the icing on the cake.

UI Navigation: As the system grows and you add more plans and workbooks, the interface can start to feel a little crowded. A more streamlined navigation menu or a "search-to-find" feature for specific folders would save a few extra clicks every day.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helping me to understand my payouts for each deal I close

 ### 4. A Powerful and Flexible Compensation Management Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergi F. | Sales Compensation Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

What I like best about CaptivateIQ is its "white canvas" approach. This allows for remarkable flexibility and the ability to build highly customized compensation structures that precisely align with unique business objectives and sales strategies (ease of integration, implementation and use).

I would also highlight the wide suite of features for quota management, performance tracking, scenario modeling, and detailed reporting, which enables granular control and easy handling of complex commission rules and varied acceleration mechanisms.

Finally, the quick and resolutive support is another significant positive aspect.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Initial Implementation. Because the tool is a white canvas for custom plans, the initial setup could require significant time and dedicated internal resources. That being said, their CSMs are highly responsive and always happy to help navigate these challenges.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flexibility in Plan Design.

Complex Commissions Rules and Calculations.

Data Control and Visibility

Data visualization: we use CaptivateIQ's Dashboards (payee, managers and then externally shared with HR

CRM Scenarios simulation: What-If Calculator

 ### 5. Built for Scale with a User and Admin Friendly Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared D. | Senior Compensation Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Built to scale, with a user- and admin-friendly format that feels familiar and easy to navigate. The implementation and CSM teams are top notch (shout out to Thy Ho!) and always there to help.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

There have been a few updates over the years that have changed the functionality or presentation of the product minimally. While I am sure they have helped the back-end of things, the UI has a couple minor annoying features now (i.e. the most recent statement design being shrunk with horizontal scrollbars - EOY2025, and the pagination of most everything being forced vs opted - leads to several pages of statements to look through rather than one list.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At my three companies where I've used Captivate IQ we were able to take commissions processing time from 20 days down to 6, 14 days down to 3, and currently 14 days down to 5. It has always and always will save astronomical amounts of time if you make sure to implement it well and follow best practice.

 ### 6. The most straightforward and effective commissions tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah D. | Sales Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2019

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I came from the world of Excel and using CaptivateIQ has been a huge win. I love the product and can’t rave enough about it.

Some of my favorite functions include:
- Being able to custom build the statements per each plan
- Easily accommodate changes with people leaving and joining new teams
- Love how easy it is to use especially getting the reps into the system and use it (little to no training- all that was needed to train them was one simple short email)
-The Salesforce integration is thoroughly beneficial- and you can directly integrate or data load from the CRM.
- Custom reporting
- The ability to standardize custom fields across plans

The services team has been awesome and they made sure everything is thought out. It’s easy to use and I’ve been making tweaks to the product without any service team involvement. The software is REALLY EASY to understand if you have that Excel mindset.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

There’s a decent learning curve for custom reporting, and it would be ideal if it were a bit easier to use.

**Recommendations to others considering CaptivateIQ:**

I would recommend CaptivateIQ to anyone looking for a better solution than spreadsheets or Xactly. For anyone coming from the world of spreadsheets, this product will be very easy to pick up from an admin perspective- no more manual excel calculations or pay statements. This is a huge win. From an end user perspective, it's even easier! Reps simply log in and view their statement. Boom, done. So simple!

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I calculated commissions manually in Excel and it was a less than enjoyable experience. It was problematic and made it difficult to scale, especially for a company with as large of an amount of commissionable employees and with plans as complex as ours. This tool has been great to use and I’d recommend it for large fast growing sales teams.

 ### 7. Flexible, reliable commission platform with great support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michaela C. | Senior Commissions Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

The platform effectively manages complex compensation plans and provides a user-friendly interface for sales representatives. Its fast processing helps minimize the need for commission adjustments in future months. The CaptivateIQ team is consistently responsive and a pleasure to work with. I also appreciate their ongoing commitment to including end-users in meetings and trainings.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

There can be a slight learning curve when working with highly complex plans, but once you become familiar with the tools and workflows, it becomes much easier to maintain and make adjustments as needed. I look forward to continued enhancements to the reporting features, as the current advanced reporting can be challenging to manage when combining multiple plans and metrics into a single dashboard.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CaptivateIQ helps solve the challenge of managing and calculating complex commission plans quickly and accurately. Before using it, processing commissions was a manual and time-consuming process that was prone to manual entry errors as well as reps not seeing their pay until almost month-end. With CaptivateIQ, the reps now have clarity into what they can expect to be paid month-end the first week of the month - they have been very pleased with this new timeline since implementing the CaptivateIQ software.

 ### 8. Needed software for all client facing teams that get commission payouts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas C. | HEad of US Customer Success and Engagement, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2023

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Easy breakdown of every result in your comp plan and in-detail analysis of why your comp is what it is + what it could be in a month when youre still trying to forecast, which obv makes it great because itll push you to go that extra little bit + maximize comp. Very easy to navigate as well.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Load times have improved significantly but still not a fan of their Reporting layouts. I still find it tough to easily get a full picture of team payout performances in a snapshot. I would prefer more ability to do custom reporting inside of the dashboard and view results over time. I find it difficult to do so now

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem being solved is an unbiased way to. calculate our comp payout. In the past we used to just manually look at results. In a monthly subscription business depending on the day you pull the data it could be different. This gives us a standard process to pay our people fairly

 ### 9. Empowering, Transparent, and Scalable Commission Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Susmit M. | Partner Success Manager for North America, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

CaptivateIQ stands out for its clarity and transparency. The platform offers a detailed breakdown of commission structures, enabling our team to track earnings and performance effortlessly. The ability to customize logic based on unique plans is a huge plus, and the interface is intuitive even for non-technical users. It’s especially helpful during review cycles and when aligning incentives with performance.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

While the platform is solid overall, initial implementation can be a bit complex depending on your compensation plan structure. Some advanced configurations require involvement from their support or technical teams. Also, the platform could benefit from more native integrations with smaller CRMs or ERP systems. However, the support team is responsive and usually helps resolve such challenges quickly.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CaptivateIQ has solved the complexity and opacity of our commission processes. Previously, reps had little clarity on how their compensation was calculated, and our finance team spent hours reconciling spreadsheets. Now, calculations are automated, disputes are minimal, and reps are more engaged. It has also helped in ensuring compliance and audit readiness, which is critical as we scale. Ultimately, it saves time, builds trust, and improves sales performance.

 ### 10. CaptivateIQ Makes Commissions Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott S. | Sales Compensation Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2023

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Having administered CaptivateIQ at my organization for over four years, I've successfully navigated numerous compensation plan changes — both mid-year adjustments and full fiscal year overhauls — entirely independently, without ever requiring assistance from customer support.

One of the platform's greatest strengths is the real-time commission visibility it provides to our sales team. When sellers have a clear, accurate view of their earnings at any point during a given period, it reduces ambiguity, builds trust in the process, and allows them to stay focused on what matters most: closing deals.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

As a loyal CaptivateIQ user of over four years, I can say with confidence that my experience with the platform has been consistently seamless and without issue. The tool has proven itself time and again as a reliable, high-performing solution that has become an integral part of my day-to-day workflow.

That said, as someone who values consistency and operational efficiency, I occasionally find that certain updates and new feature rollouts introduce added complexity to a product that, quite frankly, already excels at what it was designed to do. CaptivateIQ has built something genuinely impressive, and there is real merit in preserving the simplicity and intuitiveness that made it so effective in the first place.

I want to be clear — I deeply appreciate the team's commitment to continuous improvement and innovation, and I fully recognize that as a single customer, my use case represents just one perspective among many. Different organizations have different needs, and what works beautifully for my team may not be sufficient for others. However, for my purposes, a streamlined and straightforward experience will always take precedence over additional features. In this case, less truly is more.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CaptivateIQ has been an invaluable asset in streamlining and simplifying the way our organization manages commission payouts. As a platform that brings transparency, accuracy, and efficiency to one of the most complex and high-stakes areas of sales operations, it has fundamentally transformed how our team approaches compensation management.

Having relied on CaptivateIQ for over four years, I can attest to its reliability and consistency — not once have I encountered a major issue that disrupted our operations. Commission management, when done manually or through disparate systems, is notoriously error-prone and time-consuming. The ability to automate calculations, apply complex compensation rules, and ensure every payout is accurate not only saves countless hours but also builds trust with the sales team, who can rest assured their earnings are being calculated fairly and consistently.

Beyond our sales organization, CaptivateIQ has become an essential tool for our FP&A and Accounting teams as well. This cross-functional utility speaks to the platform's versatility — commission data is not just a sales metric, it is a critical input for financial forecasting, budget planning, and accurate revenue reporting. Having all stakeholders working from the same centralized source of truth eliminates discrepancies and ensures alignment across departments.

The robust reporting and dashboard capabilities have been particularly impactful. With a single glance, I can provide a comprehensive breakdown of all commission payouts, segmented however our business requires. This level of visibility is invaluable during month-end closes, executive reviews, and audit processes where accuracy and speed are equally important. When ad hoc questions arise — whether from leadership, finance, or individual sellers — I am equipped to respond quickly and confidently with precise, data-backed answers. In an area as sensitive as compensation, that kind of clarity and responsiveness is not just a convenience; it is a competitive advantage.

 ### 11. Account Executive

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wayne C. | Account Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Visibility into my commission with integration into our CRM. CaptivateIQ makes the often frustrating process of commission tracking clear, fast, and empowering. For any sales org scaling fast or looking to keep their reps motivated and informed, it's a must-have.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

If your employer changes compensation structures quarterly, the dashboard often does not reflect the quota attainment accurately. The HR team must update how our compensation is reflected on the dashboard for CaptivateIQ to accurately reflect it.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CaptivateIQ addresses key pain points for Account Executives by providing transparency, accuracy, and real-time visibility into commission tracking. It removes guesswork and manual errors typical of spreadsheets, saving time and fostering trust in payouts. With seamless Salesforce integration, AEs can clearly see how each deal affects their earnings, stay motivated with transparent progress toward accelerators, and spend more time selling rather than chasing down compensation details.

 ### 12. A great platform to understand your commission

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon T. | Account Development Rep, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I like the quick snapshot of my monthly commission payout it provides when I log in, and it is also easy to navigate and find what I am looking for. I also like being able to preview the next statement.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I think one thing that would be great to see is tax deductions built in to my commission, so I can get a more realistic view of what I will be taking home. Sure, I could do the math myself...but would it also be possible to link to my ADP or something else so the data passes back and forth for one holistic view?

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me clearly see how much I get for each SQL, and how much I get at different tiers of multipliers. It would be nice to see the percentage of what that multiplier is.

 ### 13. Streamlined Commission Processing with Minor Reporting Hurdles

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nhat V. | FP&A Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I use CaptivateIQ to streamline our commission process by bringing in raw data from Salesforce and transforming it. It's so much easier and more manageable to build out plans. I like that CaptivateIQ has a Component function that allows me to transform our data. The data connectors are very helpful at pulling Salesforce data, and we also use NetSuite data, which is also pulled from CaptivateIQ. Having all my data in one place is great. The Component function really helps with transforming data from the data workbook, as I can test out calculations for each individual rep before adding components into the Commission Plans. It's a very helpful feature.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Right now, I feel like CaptivateIQ is lacking in the reporting feature. It's not as intuitive to build out reporting. Additionally, the What-if functions seem to be a bit complicated. The reporting feature requires processing payouts before we can put the reports together, and it would be helpful if it could pull from the Components instead.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CaptivateIQ to streamline our commission process by transforming and managing data from Salesforce easily. The Component function and data connectors consolidate my data in one place, eliminating manual calculations previously done in Excel and Google Sheets.

 ### 14. Effortless Commission Management with Flexibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick H. | Sales Compensation Analyst II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I use CaptivateIQ for calculating commissions and I really appreciate its data accuracy and efficiency. I find it easy to understand and use, especially because constructing plans and inputting data is very similar to how you would in Excel. The UI is clean and modern, and it’s simple to navigate which makes my work seamless. Commission calculations work well, providing flexibility when setting up commission plans, especially with ongoing changes to plans throughout the year. It allows us to work with these changes with little resistance.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I don't like the current plan document sending setup. It's linked to DocuSign, and the information between DocuSign and CaptivateIQ isn't always accurate, creating an auditing nightmare. It would be nice if there were innate plan document functionality within CaptivateIQ.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CaptivateIQ for calculating commissions, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency. It's easy to understand and use, with a clean UI similar to Excel. I appreciate its flexibility in setting up and adjusting commission plans throughout the year.

 ### 15. Clunky, Confusing UI and so many problems with comp plans.

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

The most helpful thing about CaptivateIQ is that it's somewhat automated for standard compensation plans. It's also nice to have a locked-in record of what commission you paid. The implementation has been great and very thorough. We have an external implementation company.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

The platform itself is very clunky and very confusing. The interface is not intuitive. I've been using it for six months and still don't have a natural instinct for where to go to do things. If you want to make a change, often times you have to make the same change in multiple places. Getting a compensation plan set up is super difficult. Every single formula has to be 100% precise in order for commission to be processed with 100% accuracy. My implementation consultant (who has done this 100s of times) built a plan and then months later we discovered a bug resulting in over payment by 1000's of dollars.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For very simple plans (SDRs) it automates the processing.

 ### 16. Seamless commissions

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mustafa E. | Sr. Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2024

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I can view my commissions in real time, so as soon as a month or quarter ends, I already know exactly how much I’ve earned. That level of transparency is really reassuring. What I appreciate most is that I only need to log in—there’s no extra effort on my part to check my compensation. :-)

On top of that, their customer support is excellent, and I rely on it daily. The integration was completed a few years ago at the very beginning, and since then I haven’t run into any issues.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

So far, I haven’t come across anything I dislike.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the past, we had to wait a long time and manually calculate our sales compensation, but now the entire process is automated, and all the information we need is readily accessible.

 ### 17. Highly Recommended (From the Perspective of a User)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Security and Investigations | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2023

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Captivate IQ, from the user perspective, is my ideal sales/commission experience. It provides me with all of the data that I need to see how commissions are calculated, how much progress I'm making towards my goals, and level sets expectations. It really takes the guesswork out of the workflow.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I think it can improve upon realtime commission information when there is a change over in commission periods. There's often a "deadzone" of data in the first week after a commission period ends and a new one begins, and I would like to see more data available during those periods, either by letting us load the new period immediately, or by showing the user a preview.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When my organization adopted CaptivateIQ, it finally provided me an accessible way to view my sales compensation and understand the where, when, and why of my compensation plan. Previously, I would have lots of questions and not known where to turn for the answers, but CaptivateIQ allows me to see the answers in a clear and concise format.

 ### 18. CaptivateIQ is the cleanest commission reporting!!!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan T. | Inside Sales Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2024

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

CaptivateIQ provides the most streamlined experience for tracking individual commission components. The standout for me is the interactive estimator, which lets me run 'what-if' models on pending deals to accurately forecast my earnings and quota attainment ahead of the close.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

The AE experience would benefit from a more modular dashboard. While the current layout is functional, it feels a bit 'one-size-fits-all.' I’d love the ability to customize my view by pinning specific territory metrics or historical data that are most relevant to my personal sales targets.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform has effectively replaced my manual 'shadow accounting' spreadsheets. The granular transparency of the payout breakdowns provides total confidence in the data's accuracy, allowing me to shift my focus away from auditing and entirely toward high-value selling activities.

 ### 19. CaptivateIQ - Easy to use, responsive and concise!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** chris.fadool@arcticwolf.com F. | Senior Sales Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

The platform has a very user-friendly interface and makes it easy to quickly access payout information.

I appreciate that it takes me directly to my commissions without unnecessary navigation.

The option to export statements as PDF or Excel files is a helpful feature as well.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

The platform works well overall, but a modernized UI refresh could enhance the user experience, as some parts of the interface are starting to feel a bit dated.

Maybe some AI to cleanup the data would be nice.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform provides clear and concise reports on commissions and payouts. It’s easy to quickly see what I’m earning without navigating through unnecessary menus.

Takes me straight to my payouts with no pop ups or anything that gets in the way.

 ### 20. Effortless Clarity and Simplicity in Commission Tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DOUGLAS C. | Sales Rep, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I like that CaptivateIQ is easy and simple to see and understand. It gives me more clarity regarding the exact amount and charges, and what I will receive. CaptivateIQ helps me understand if there's anything wrong so I can clearly communicate any issues with the commissions to my leadership. Previously, I was in the dark regarding what I'd receive, but now I have a clear understanding. The initial setup was really easy because I just had to log in; most of the setup was already done, making it really simple with no issues.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

It's subtle, but sometimes when the month is finished and I click on it, the screen shows an animation like a congratulations. That animation can make my screen load in a slow mode. But it's really subtle.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CaptivateIQ to gain clarity on my commissions, understanding exact amounts and charges, and easily communicate issues to leadership, which was unclear before. It's simple to see and understand.

 ### 21. Using it to look at sales numbers. Knowing what accounts did what action and percent

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam L. | Sales Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

The best features are the quick access and home screens, which show the core numbers at a glance without having to dig around. The more streamlined it is, the better—if I want to know more, I can always dive in and look deeper.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

At times, the information feels like it’s presented in a somewhat complicated way, which can make it harder to follow. However the more time you spend working through the numbers the easier the deep dives become.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool quickly delivers sales insights and helps me uncover details that are often buried in my territory’s numbers, making it easier to understand what’s really driving the results.

 ### 22. Intuitive Environment with Strong Commission Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Satyam C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I use CaptivateIQ for plan management, commissions processing, and dashboard reporting. I appreciate how it provides visibility to the rep into live attainment and sales pacing. It also enables reps to simulate scenarios using the 'what if' calculators. As an admin, it helps in managing plan distribution and signing. I like the Excel-like environment, which makes it easier for a new hire to onboard. Additionally, I like the dashboard capabilities and report modeling. The 'what if' calculator is a bonus.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Integrating with Salesforce pipeline to do some forecast on commissions

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CaptivateIQ provides visibility into live attainment and sales pacing, allows reps to simulate scenarios with what-if calculators, and helps admins manage plan distribution. Its Excel-like environment eases new hire onboarding, and I enjoy the dashboard capabilities and report modeling.

 ### 23. Easy Commission Plans and Helpful Support with a Great Knowledge Center

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

CaptivateIQ makes it relatively easy to put together commission plans and statements. I am not very techy but am able to operate formulas and worksheets to calculate commissions correctly.
The Knowledge center within CaptivateIQ is very helpful when trying to resolve new challenges.
I have been very happy with the help I had required when submitting a support ticket. The people on the other side have been very helpful. They put the effort to understand what is the need and do their best to help with great suggestions.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

There is clumsiness in the delivery of statements. Each annual plan has its own statement, making it difficult for the consumers (business development) to evaluate what they have been paid for, and what to expect in the near future. It would be great to be able to produce one statement across all plans, i.e. one statement for 2024, 2025 and 2026 plan years.
The other difficulty we have is understanding True Ups. CaptivateIQ calculates them correctly but they are not obvious to the consumer.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is one place for all commission plans. It is easy to understand and see. I have very limited inquiries to answer.
Integration with SalesForse is seamless and very easy. Syncing of data is effortless.
Calculating and publishing commissions on a monthly basis takes very little time. For me it is two hours versus the week it was taking with a previous software we used.

 ### 24. Simplifies Commission Calculations, Minor UI Hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron F.

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I think that CaptivateIQ is great in terms of some of its simplicity. It marries Excel with databases, which means that it's quite a lot more accessible for some of the admins in terms of being able to create and build new plans, such as new calculations, without needing an expert like some of the other tools. It's really good at being more accessible than the other tools out there.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

There's some small issues with the UI or the GUI. When you're typing in a formula and accidentally click off, you lose everything you're working on. Also, when you double-click onto a formula, it puts it on the side, and you can't scroll to look at column names. That can sometimes be a little bit annoying. But very minor

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CaptivateIQ to make commission calculations smoother from CRM data and achieve accurate results. It's beneficial for reporting to finance and payroll teams, and reps can see future earnings.

 ### 25. Captivate IQ + Commission

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Selin S. | Sales, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I love that it's an easy way to be able to understand how, what, when, and why I am being paid out the way that I am. I also love that I can kind of peer into the future and use this data accordingly.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Sometimes, the interface is a bit more complex/wonky than I anticipated but nothing that wasn't easy to adjust with a little bit of training. I do think UI/UX could still use clearer flows but it's not bad.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's helped myself and my team ensure that we know how we're paid and to forecast commission better. It has also help our comp team stay organized and keep track of everyone's payouts.

 ### 26. My Favorite Tool (and it's not Salesforce)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2021

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Before we got Captivate IQ, commission tracking was the single most stressful and time-consuming part of my job that didn’t involve closing a deal. Every month, I lost hours to “shadow accounting,” manually trying to match closed opportunities in Salesforce to my compensation plan and double-checking that everything lined up. Since we implemented Captivate IQ, that stress has disappeared. It’s turned commissions from a frustrating mystery into something clear, reliable, and genuinely motivating.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

While the data itself is gold, the initial dashboard configuration can feel a bit dense. It took me a few weeks, plus some trial and error, to land on the best way to filter and customize the main view so it showed only the specific metrics I cared about, like monthly-only projections or progress on a specific SPIFF. The dashboard is incredibly powerful, but the learning curve for tailoring the view is steeper than the rest of the application. Once it’s set up, it feels perfect for what I need, but that first round of configuration could be smoother for the average IC.

**Recommendations to others considering CaptivateIQ:**

I recommend testing out the platform to see if it would be a good fit for your organization. We have been very happy thus far as sales reps new to the tool.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to set aside time for a dispute every quarter. Since launching Captivate IQ, I haven’t filed a single inquiry. When the data is accurate, transparent, and instantly available, there’s simply nothing to dispute. The platform handles our complicated comp plan—including quarterly accelerators, tiered rates based on product type, and bonus SPIFFs—with flawless accuracy. As a result, I trust my compensation completely, which frees up my mental energy to focus 100% on pipeline generation and closing deals. Peace of mind is priceless.

Captivate IQ isn’t just a reporting tool; it helps me sell smarter. I use the projection features to plan out my quarter and make better decisions. I can instantly see how many more deals I need, or what type of revenue I need, to reach the next tier of acceleration. Knowing exactly where I stand relative to my targets helps me prioritize my efforts efficiently. It removes the guesswork from hitting my goals and turns my compensation plan into a clear roadmap to higher earnings.

 ### 27. In one sentence - Captivate is the most optimal solution between flexibility and efficiency.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrzej S. | Senior Commissions Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

The ease of implementing most complicated scenarios without the need of external consultants or IT support and how it's up to date with latest trends. It's very easy to use by commissions experts who know their job best and don't need to be efficient in IT. The speed of customer support replies and how easily it connects with most common external systems (it goes as far as API calls with amazing documentation).

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

"With great power comes great responsibility", it's not so much an issue with the software but more a warning for organisations who would like to use it. Just because you can do anything you want doesn't mean you should.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Number one problem it helps solving is keeping all commissions related activities in one place. The ease of use ensures that even when we acquire a company Captivate is never a barrier and we can have new plan up and running allowing us to give us reporting and control we need. The flexibility it offers also enables us to accommodate unique SPIFFs and special scenarios. Finally the power it offers gives us a way to test scenarios by simply creating parallel inactive plans where we can test our scenarios and have results much more accurate than any excel mockup.

 ### 28. This is a great tool. You can see what you are being paid on very easily and what chargebacks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle G. | Customer Service, Automotive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2021

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

This tool is incredibly easy to use, allowing me to view everything in a single portal. I can easily manage my payouts and monitor any chargebacks. It's a sleek, intuitive tool that I genuinely enjoy using—and I still love it!

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

So far, I really like this tool. I am still in the process of learning and using it, but having a tool like this has been a significant upgrade for us. At this point, there is nothing I dislike about it.

**Recommendations to others considering CaptivateIQ:**

Yes of course I would recommend this. If anyone needs a tool to help with commissions this is the one to get!!

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can view my commission checks, see exactly what I’m being paid for, and track any chargebacks. It answers my questions without needing to ask my director, which is really convenient. This also makes it much easier for me to keep up with what I’m being paid.

 ### 29. I like this tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefan S. | Solutions Architect - Data Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2024

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

After using Captivate for a couple of years, I still find all the relevant information inside.
Since we have a team quota that dictates our commissions, it is great to have a breakdown per customer and the quarterly margin they bring to us, to understand my contribution to the team.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I will have to repeat my previous feedback, I have been with this company for 8 years, and this is the only tool that we have been using, so I have nothing to compare it with.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is providing great insights into expected quarterly commissions. I can also look back on all my incomes throughout the years.

 ### 30. Flexible and Intuitive, But Needs Real-Time Data Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I find CaptivateIQ to be super flexible and intuitive to design, which I really appreciate. It gives our reps a polished statement that updates in real time, helping to build their confidence in the system.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I wish the reporting / analysis structures were a little more flexible / robust. Data only flows into the reports after processing payouts and it can take a while after processing for the data to join. I'd love if there was a way to pipe live data into the report models instead of waiting until after payouts have been processed.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use CaptivateIQ to calculate commissions, produce reports, and handle inquiries. It reduces calculation errors and gives sales reps real-time commission insights. It's super flexible, intuitive to design, and provides a polished overview that builds confidence in the system.

 ### 31. Streamlined and simplified commission management!!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack R. | AE, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2023

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Ease of Use: Many users appreciate CaptivateIQ's intuitive and user-friendly interface, making it easy to navigate and manage commission-related tasks.

Transparency and Visibility: The platform provides clear insights into commission structures, payouts, and performance metrics, enhancing transparency for sales teams.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I wish there were real-time updates - or I could see into the future a bit easier. Anything from upcoming months and potential commission/access to unpaid commissions.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visibility to my pending payments and also access to my accounts who have not yet paid - ie. who I need to chase down to pay invoices so I can get paid!

 ### 32. Fun and easy to use, smooth integration with other platforms

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Poorvi S. | Business Development Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 03, 2024

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I was promised a gift card for this review that I never received which was a shame.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I mainly use it to keep track of my commissions. Since CapIQ is the first tool of this kind that I’ve tried, I haven’t come across anything I dislike so far.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool helps solve the recurring challenge of communicating with the finance team and makes it much easier to review commission calculations for potential errors and sending inquiries to correct them, all within a single platform.

 ### 33. Very insightful, not just $$ figures

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robbie G. | Senior Manager, A/NZ Commercial Sales, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2024

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

The visualisation of the data makes it simple to create actionable insights. It's easy for me to figure out who and where to help my team. It's also very clear how the numbers are calculated - rather than one final number, there are multiple columns showing how the final commission number was influenced. Our commission structure can be complicated but CaptivateIQ makes the calculations very clear - even for the most paranoid rep!

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Would be nice to be able to edit the order of modules/tables in the payout statement

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CaptivateIQ allows us to see our quota attainment and resulting commission prior to it being paid out. It also shows us data in a way easily digestible by a non-data analyst. It would be very difficult to recreate this data in our CRM and even then, it would be less interactive.

 ### 34. Accurate Data, Easy to Navigate, Slight Overload

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael; B.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I like CaptivateIQ for being up to date and accurate, especially when I need information quickly. I can rely on it for the most recent data, which helps me make real-time decisions about where to focus based on the provided information. Its usability extends to both mobile and laptop versions, where the mobile app is easy to consume information without getting lost, while the desktop version is efficient. Starting with CaptivateIQ was also very straightforward, with easy email verification and the ability to log in from any device.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I think sometimes there's just so much information in there that it can be a little bit overwhelming. I think it could do a little bit better in breaking up specific categories and allowing me to create my own dashboard based on what's most important to me.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CaptivateIQ helps with tracking quotas accurately and timely. It provides real-time, updated information, allowing me to focus on areas needing attention and make informed decisions quickly.

 ### 35. Portal Usage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charmi M. | ADR, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

The App is updated realtime and is user friendly. It has all details with the information required. It syncs with Salesforce so apt tat every time there is a change in my opportunities, it reflects with accurate details of the pay.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

The next months data does not come up immediately and also details about the opp that come up as True-Up

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To view the leads and the amount of commission generated against it monthly and also providing details as on today. It also lets you keep the old data for you to analyze and compare for later

 ### 36. Ease and transparency in viewing commision

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick O. | Account Executive, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I like the UI, how user friendly it is to navigate and to find my commission statements and the details about them

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Some times I don't get my payout info until right before it supposed to come, which doesn't give me as much time to review it. It would be nice to have some graph to view payout changes over time.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having transparency into my commission. Looking at previous commissions amounts. Easy to find things that I want to dispute or need to be changed by my team

 ### 37. Reliable Payroll Management with Real-Time Access

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anita C. | Senior Manager of Business Services

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I appreciate CaptivateIQ for its consistent and reliable calculating and reporting features. I like the employee reports that can be accessed by the employee in real time. I enjoy the ability to view current data, upcoming commissions, and historical commissions. The reporting and raw data feature allows me to pull reports for any period in question, which is really useful.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I think it would be easier to use if there were 'hot buttons' for most common functions rather than having to use the drill down menus.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CaptivateIQ ensures consistent, reliable payroll calculations and real-time employee report access, making it easy to view current, upcoming, and historical commissions. The raw data allows flexible report generation.

 ### 38. Good tool, but lacking information

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick G. | Federal Inside Sales Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2024

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Keeps me updated on my sales commission. Like how it breaks out the different commission categories to see what has been accomplished for the year.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Give dates about compensation, but they do not correspond to the payout dates. The pop-up for the link to the opportunity sometimes does not display correctly.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping me advised of where I am in respect to what I need to accomplish. Keeps me on track for my monthly, quarterly, and yearly quotas.

 ### 39. Time-Saving with Immediate Incentive Updates, But Navigation Can Be Challenging

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt E. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I like CaptivateIQ for its immediate calculation and incentive statement update. It saves me a lot of time on the administrative side because I don’t need to spend an hour waiting for the entire system to recalculate when I have to make a quick update.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

There's a lot of worksheets in my instance. Sometimes navigating through all of the various worksheets to figure out where I need to be can be difficult. I think it took about a year and a half to two years to launch, which seems very long.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CaptivateIQ provides a better comp statement and immediate calculation updates, saving me a lot of time on the administrative side.

 ### 40. Captivate IQ- A Powerful Commission and Sales Employee Incentive Management Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kellen I. | Senior Sales Commissions Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Captivate IQ make processing large quanttities of sales commission payments vey simple and quick. The tool is pretty straightforward and allows our organization to quickly set up comp plans and begin paying our sales reps. Adding reporting has been a game changer for us!

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Captivate IQs reporting functions are pretty confusing. i had to team up with them multiple times to create fairly straightforward reports. The calculation function is great but reporting has been challenging and we find ourselves going back to excel from time to time. Some of the processing for users

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling commissions and creating accurate commission payouts for the sales field. This saves us a lot of time during monthly close processes. The Dashboards and reports are also very helpful when it comes to motivating the field through leaderboards, attainment metrics, ect. CIQ is also capable of integrating directly to SalesForce and our HRIS meaning we have the ability to have live data connectors from the systems we rely on for GTM data

 ### 41. Simple and easy to use.

The only thing I dislike and its not really a issue, is that every monday when I come back in to office I have to re login. Captivate is super simple to use and I love it

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps answer questions I may have about the compensation I’m receiving each month. This benefits me because I can log in easily and see the details whenever I need to.

 ### 44. Great for Commission Sales

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brendan M. | Lead Coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Love the detail and depth I get from looking into my paystubs. Getting insights and instant updates to my pay is great, most competitors don't give me the depth like Captivate does.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Everything works great for me. I think the platform runs great and treats consumers great, I would love a mobile app. With live notifications for reviews and stuff like that.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving my payment review issues and making sure I can have my payments in full detail. Good for my records and making sure that I can keep accurate records for myself.

 ### 45. Great app that is always improving and meeting the needs of its users. Easy to use & manage!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

The layout is way better and it seems like it’s moving faster with less buffering

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

Overall, it’s doing great. I’ve noticed steady improvements since I became a user, and honestly, everything I would’ve pointed out has already been fixed. Because of that, I don’t have much to say about what I dislike.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I will be paid and displayed right at the touch of my fingertips, so there’s honestly no problems at all

 ### 46. Best in class revenue operations tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John R. | Senior Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2024

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

As sellers, we are focused on numbers and often deal with complex billing cycles and payout structures. The ability to self-audit in just minutes, rather than spending hours or even days—or being unable to do so because of corporate restrictions—demonstrates that capIQ supports a mature sales organization that values involving its sellers in the process.

In my experience, what stood out most was how easy it was to review quarterly payouts. Quota attainment from SFDC was accurately reflected in the statements, and I found it straightforward to discuss and understand these details with my manager.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

At this point, I haven't encountered any downsides. Over the past eight years, this has been my favorite tool for achieving my goals as a rep. It would be fantastic if there were a way to identify the most important metrics for each department, or even more specifically for each individual seller, and have those metrics automatically sent to Slack or Gmail each month. However, this is not a deal breaker by any means.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quarterly and yearly attainment at the deal level is extremely helpful, and the user experience and interface are among the most intuitive I have encountered. I can easily track my progress toward organizational goals, including partner-assisted deals, multi-year agreements, renewals averages and what my commission checks are equaling out to when those clients renew with at least a 10% uplift. I often use this to track how much I need to be increasing clients cost to obtain my quarterly number and be diplomatic to customers. Additionally, I appreciate being able to monitor churn indicators that are relevant to my compensation and org.

 ### 47. Captivate IQ is a great bonus platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Taylor P. | Program Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Honestly, CaptivateIQ is fantastic because it finally lets you stop stressing about your pay and just focus on closing deals. The biggest win is the real-time commission visibility—you can literally watch your earnings update as soon as a contract is signed, which completely eliminates that annoying "shadow accounting" spreadsheet work. Plus, the "What-If" calculator is a secret weapon; it lets you figure out which deals will hit the next quota tier or give you the biggest payout, helping you prioritize your time strategically. If there's ever a question about a payout, you just log an inquiry right on the platform, making the whole dispute process drama-free and quick. Basically, it builds trust in your paycheck, keeps you motivated with clear quota status, and saves you a ton of time, which means more money in your pocket.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

If I had to nitpick, there are a couple minor things: occasionally, there can be a slight delay in data syncing, meaning that "real-time" update might take an hour or two to fully refresh after a deal closes. Also, many reps wish there was a dedicated mobile app for faster access to those dashboards when you're on the go.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CaptivateIQ primarily solves the pain points of commission opacity and manual effort, which directly benefits you as a sales rep. It eliminates the need for "shadow accounting" by giving you real-time visibility into your exact earnings and how they were calculated, building instant trust in your pay. The platform's tools, like the "What-If" calculator, allow you to strategically prioritize high-value deals and forecast your income, letting you focus all your energy on closing sales instead of wasting time tracking spreadsheets.

 ### 48. Great customer service and product - 2025 UPDATE: still great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

CaptivateIQ is a great commission calculator platform. The team helping us implement new plans has been super helpful and responsive. The new what-if calculator is very helpful. The platform also does a great job facilitating and tracking reviews and approvals of payouts.

2025 UPDATE: I still think CaptivateIQ is a great platform. They have done a lot to update their user interface and functionality, and they continue to add new features. We have built out several plans over the years, and I appreciate the increased flexibility of the platform to handle multiple plans and calculations.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I have yet to experience any issues with CaptivateIQ. We haven't set up a sync with our GL system yet, but that's on us, not the capabilities of the product. I'm not familiar enough with the reporting capabilities, but I imagine they are as good as everything else.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Calculating monthly and quarterly commissions, prompting and tracking reviews/approvals, and storing commission data. Using this is much more efficient and effective than a manual calculation in excel.

2025 UPDATE: We are able to utilize the functionality and reporting as documentation of SOX controls which is incredibly helpful.

 ### 49. Effortless Commission Tracking and Transparent Performance Insights

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

I like seeing my monthly commission in a single spot. It makes me feel confident knowing I’m being paid what I should be paid, and I can easily raise questions through the platform if something looks off. CaptivateIQ makes it simple to track my monthly commissions and overall progress toward my yearly goals, so I always know where I stand.

The layout is clean and easy to understand, even if you’re not super technical. I also appreciate how quickly updates or adjustments show up, it makes the process feel transparent and trustworthy. Overall, it’s a helpful tool for staying on top of commissions and performance without having to chase down reports or spreadsheets.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I don’t think this is necessarily a CaptivateIQ issue, but more how my company has the workspace set up. Sometimes I have to switch between the current and previous year to see what I’m getting paid—or to check if something is a clawback from the year before. Since I’m paid annually on total contract value (TCV) deals, I often have to flip between 2024 and 2025, which can get a little confusing. It’s probably more of a setup or user error than a CaptivateIQ problem, but it can make tracking payments slightly less seamless

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to work for a company that tracked commission on a spreadsheet and getting them to send me my monthly commission took forever because of the spreadsheet and if there was an error, it was most likely a human error since they were manually putting it into the spreadsheet so making fixes or updates could take a while to solve. captivateIQ takes care of all that by directly pulling from our crm and our commission plan math so less room for human error. When something is wrong (due to the calculation set up), our internal rep who is in charge of commissions can easily make that change which reflects instantly for me.

 ### 50. Captivate your attention on your commissions!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?**

Easily see your commissions by month. We have a fairly complex Comp plan and have found the numbers are accurate when I compare to an actual calculator and writing the dollars down. I really like how I can see not only current month but future month commission tracking as well. The info pulls from SFDC "Closed Won" and is marked properly when it pulls to CaptivateIQ. In the event something is missed or mis-marked, what is missed is also easy to see for reconciliation.

**What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?**

I would like to offer for the end user to have the ability to move the dashboards around to what is important to me at the top of the form. I know currently, this is controlled at the Company level but would be nice to have this control at the user level for a unique user dashboard. But this is a small ask compared to what CaptivateIQ does.

**What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CaptivateIQ - allows me to quickly see my commissions all in one place and what has been paid and easily see if anything has been missed.
