**What do you like best about Kombo?**

We looked at a bunch of integration platforms before making a decision, and honestly, Kombo wasn't even a question after a while. They were quick to respond, helpful from day one, and had everything we were looking for without us having to jump through hoops.

Implementation was fast, and their documentation is very clear. That made it possible for me to integrate the solution into our application within a few days.

Using the API documentation is straightforward and easy.
We use Kombo in Flexopus on the daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Kombo?**

The product does what it promises, and at the moment I can’t think of any downsides to using Kombo.

**What problems is Kombo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using the implemented Kombo in the Flexopus Desk Sharing software as an HRIS integration tool. Our customers might want to connect their HRIS software to our application to display time off information of employees.
Our roadmap includes several ideas to improve time-off capabilities such as automatically cancelling desk reservations when someone is on leave.

**What do you like best about Kombo?**

We use Kombo for multiple customers to syncronize HRIS data frequently on the daily basis. We had a very responsive customer support so far. The APIs are well docuemnted and easy to use. The integration and implementation was easy. The app offers great observability tooling with the logs and data explorer. Custom fields and remapping also provide a lot of customizability per integration.

**What do you dislike about Kombo?**

So far I have no nothing negative to mention. Kombo delivers exactly what we are using for.

**What problems is Kombo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We synchronize HRIS data using the time off API. We develop a desk sharing applicaiton called Flexopus. The reservations are deleted based on the time-off data sent from a HRIS tools through the Kombo unified API to Flexopus. The pricing is fair based on the number of connected HR applicaitons.

**What do you like best about Kombo?**

I appreciate the extremely wide portfolio of HRIS integrations from Kombo. The range of offerings is impressive. Additionally, I like the personal support from Kombo, especially the custom development for our specific use case, which saved us development capacity. The support was always available when needed. The features that provide insights into the data are also very valuable, including the easy search and visualization of data, such as viewing all data points for a specific employee.

**What do you dislike about Kombo?**

- Overview of the mapping logic is not clear, it is unclear which data fields from the HRIS are mapped to which combo data fields. - The UI for filtering & custom field mapping could be better, it is not 'seamless', especially because our customers come from our platform. - The initial setup was difficult in places, particularly the transfer to our use case was challenging.

**What problems is Kombo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Kombo because of its extremely wide range of HRIS integrations and personal support, which saves us development time. It allows us to search and visualize data, providing us with insights into specific employee data.

**What do you like best about Kombo?**

I like that Kombo has been really effective for enhancing our integrations and making it easier to connect with over a hundred different HRIS platforms. This is crucial for us since we're an ATS at our core, and it ensures a smooth experience for our customers. The responsiveness of Kombo's team to product feedback is something I really appreciate, as they make positive changes based on our suggestions. Their team has been incredibly responsive during the initial setup process, making it straightforward and easy. They reply quickly when we have issues, which isn't typical for many companies. Kombo's partnership with UKG makes it easy for us to use their connections to send and retrieve data easily, almost like copying and pasting. I'm also grateful for how Kombo's team is receptive to creating custom connections with partners to enhance our experience and that of other customers.

**What do you dislike about Kombo?**

When we first signed up with Kombo, there were definitely some HRIS or payroll platforms that they didn't support. Vendors might not have been all the ones we wanted, but they've grown to enhance and increase them over time quite quickly which unblocked us!

Kombo enhances our integrations overall and allows us to connect with over 100 different HRIS platforms easily, which is crucial for smooth customer experiences. It enables quick integration setups compared to custom solutions, enhancing our ability to work efficiently with various vendors.

Kombo has been an exceptional partner, especially when navigating complex integration and solutioning scenarios. Their team is highly collaborative, thinks through real-world edge cases with us, and genuinely feels invested in our success. Support is unmatched - responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive. I have used competitor solutions and can really feel the difference with Kombo.

There are always going to be additional requests for integrations not yet supported but even when bumping into this, any implementations timelines for new additions have been accurate and appreciated.

**What problems is Kombo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kombo provides streamlined solutions for integrating our customers' ATS systems, eliminating the need to manage and deploy multiple custom integrations. Additionally from the customer and implementation experience I love the connection link creation and onboarding wizard. The supporting documentation for implementation is extremely helpful as well. As a product person I appreciate the Kombo Dashboard functionality and how we can onboard new integration customers without having to leverage engineering resources.

**What do you like best about Kombo?**

I really like Kombo's team; they're great and extremely easy to work with. They're really quick in responding to new suggestions and handling tasks efficiently. The good coverage they offer for ATSs, encompassing most of the major ones, is also appreciated. Their framework is very good, and they're super knowledgeable about what's possible with each of the ATSs, which results in rarely having errors or issues. It is very quick and super easy to set up, with a seamless process thanks to their supportive team who answered all our questions.

**What do you dislike about Kombo?**

I mean, the depth of their integrations—they integrate with a lot, but it would definitely be nice to have deeper abilities, more of the kind of more niche things, just generally deeper integration. So I'd say that'd be the primary thing that I'd be looking for, if anything.

Kombo solves negotiating partnerships with ATSs and manages different logic for each ATS. It keeps everything up to date, making integrations seamless.

**What do you like best about Kombo?**

I like that Kombo standardizes the data from different ATS systems, which makes it easier to provide better analytics to our customers. This standardization of data, terminology, and cleanliness is a big plus for me because it allows us to add new data points easily, like cost per hire, without having to manually integrate with each ATS. Also, the initial setup was relatively easy, and the support team was very responsive, which made the process smooth.

**What do you dislike about Kombo?**

Kombo is only able to operate within the realm of what the ATS allows it to do. Some ATSs, like Paycom, have limitations in what they can do regardless of who connects to them. It would be great to have an easy-to-find and search mechanism within Kombo to really understand what these limitations are for different ATSs.

**What problems is Kombo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kombo plugs into ATSs for seamless job posting and applicant transition, standardizes data across ATS systems, and provides better analytics by cutting through integration complexities, saving time in evaluating channel success.

**What do you like best about Kombo?**

Kombo has such great breadth and depth across HRIS providers. Not only do they have substantial coverage across providers, but they also consolidate performance data, groups, documents, and much more.

I've analyzed quite a few people in this space. Where Kombo stands out the most:
- Great transparency in their docs about which features/providers are in beta, closed beta, and the associated gotchas
- No gimmicks or hidden fees during the sales process. Unlike some of their competitors, Kombo didn't hit me with any surprise fees late into diligence.
- Their focus on privacy is second to none. I was able to configure scopes so that our customers have complete control over all fields that are even accessible to us. A huge deal when serving enterprise customers
- Along with column-level toggling (scopes), Kombo also provides row-level visibility, allowing our customers to pre-filter entire sets of users.
- It was extremely easy to use. I had a proof of concept in a day. They have sandbox instances where you can test against production-like instances.

**What do you dislike about Kombo?**

The only area that may make their integrations even easier is having some pre-generated SDKs for the backend. Working with their API examples directly was easy though, and they provide code examples alongside the requests

**What problems is Kombo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User, managerial, group, and PTO sync. Reading and writing performance data.

These are all core objects in our product we've required users to enter manually or jump through hoops to automate.

**What do you like best about Kombo?**

I like Kombo for its ability to connect to all major ATS and HRIS without needing to develop and maintain a dedicated API. The webhook for Teamtailor is particularly helpful, and I find the flow they built to connect to ATS and HRIS incredibly easy to use, unlike anything I've seen before. It's great that they specifically focus on ATS and HRIS instead of other tools. The initial setup was very, very easy, and I also appreciate the incredibly reactive support team.

I see nothing problematic at the moment, maybe they could add more ATS and HRIS to their inventory.

**What problems is Kombo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Kombo to connect to all major ATS and HRIS without developing a dedicated API. Its webhook for Teamtailor and the easy flow make integration simple. We couldn't do it ourselves without Kombo, and it's specific to ATS and HRIS.

I like that Kombo's schemas are very simple and well built. Their API is very robust, which is really helpful. Their support is incredible, as they constantly get on calls with me or answer my questions through Slack in a very timely manner. Kombo has made working with more customers a lot smoother than it would have been if we hadn't used this solution.

Moving our existing integration into Kombo was a bit manual and there could have been a little more support on that front.

Kombo has eliminated the need to create integrations for every ATS, unified our data model across integration providers, and improved our development pipeline. It speeds up our service delivery for customers using an ATS we didn't have integration for before.

I really appreciate that Kombo is well-designed and makes it simpler to set up integrations for clients. The customer service is fantastic and makes sure I never feel alone when I have any problems or questions. The pre-built integrations speed up our onboarding for new clients significantly. I also like that Kombo supports us in freeing up developer time while providing a great solution for our customers. The transparency about timelines for integration availability is another aspect I value. Plus, setting up the base product was quite easy.

The API is clear, well structured and easy to work with.
Documentation is solid and helps teams move fast without back-and-forth.
The team is responsive - clear communication channels - and thinks in REAL use cases, not theory.
It feels built by people who actually work with integrations every day and have already nice experience around it.

Nothing I would call a real downside.
In the future, it would be nice to explore even more of the LMS space and see integrations around document management systems.
This is more a "nice to have" than a gap.

We have the competence to build integrations ourselves, but as a lean team with many different ATS requests, doing everything one-off doesn’t scale. Kombo is a genuinely smart “one-to-many” approach: strong coverage, a clear path to delivery, and it keeps engineering focused on core product work. 

Support has been excellent - responsive, pragmatic, and quick to fix issues or edge cases when they come up.

**What do you dislike about Kombo?**

Honestly very little. Like any integration work, you’ll occasionally run into edge cases, but our experience has been that they get handled quickly.

We were facing long integration timelines and frequent requests for different ATSs. Kombo helped us launch faster and made client discussions easier because we can align expectations quickly and move forward without large custom-build projects.

I like that Kombo is unified for so many different platforms and has pretty short communication lines. It's valuable for reading candidate information and application details, and also fetching attachments to follow-up with our conversational AI agent.

I think feeding candidate or application information back to the ATS is a challenge with Kombo. The flexibility to send data back to the ATS seems limited and feels like it's a one-way process.

I appreciate how responsive the team is and have been great to partner with over the past year+. I like a lot Kombo's dashboard because it allowed me to set up the integration easily, browse the data before it was sent to our application, and manage everything in one place. I also like their documentation and code examples as they really made the development work easier, at least to start the work.

It felt very slow at fetching data from the remote source when setting up new integrations although this might not necessarily be because of their implementation.

I love Kombo's documentation, and I think the product is good. Their support is good too. It's easy to use, and there's a lot of transparency in terms of coverage per specific ATS. When we have a prospect client using a specific ATS, it's easy to see whether Kombo can support it with clear transparency. The initial setup was really extremely easy.

Kombo has the widest ATS support comparing to competitors, however, I would like to see more ATSs being covered.

**What do you like best about Kombo?**

Kombo has been extremely valuable in helping us rapidly deploy numerous client integrations, saving us significant internal development work and eliminating the need for error-prone Excel file handling. The support team is highly responsive, and we encounter very few issues overall, which demonstrates their strong attention to detail.

**What do you dislike about Kombo?**

There's very little to dislike about Kombo. The only potential improvements we can suggest would be expanding their HRIS coverage and possibly including integrations with performance management systems. We'd love to see these additions in the future.

**What problems is Kombo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Kombo solves several critical challenges we faced with HRIS integrations in our daily operations. Before Kombo, we would have needed to build and maintain individual integrations with each HRIS our clients use (like Workday, BambooHR, Personio, etc.), which would have been extremely time-consuming and resource-intensive. Kombo has enabled us to integrate with the majority of HRIS, ATS and Payroll systems on the market with just one implementation. Our implementation was up and running in just a few days, thanks to the great documentation and OpenAPI schema.
Whenever our customers have additional attributes that are not covered by the unified API, Kombo makes it easy to extend their data model with their "custom fields" feature.
Customer support is always responsive when we encounter issues or have questions, and always give reliable estimates.

Before signing on, we evaluated nearly every Unified API provider and even considered building integrations ourselves, but Kombo clearly emerged as the best option. 

We now rely on Kombo for all of our ATS integrations for any client willing to connect their ATS.

Their team goes above and beyond, providing extensive support throughout implementation, new employer/connection setups, and resolving integration issues as they arise. They genuinely listen, are responsive, and are very easy to work with. Their customer support is consistently a 10/10.

Additionally, they’ve been very open to expanding their coverage, readily adding new ATS and features to enhance current integration capabilities.

Their platform integrates deeply with all major HR and ATS tools used by EU companies, which was crucial for us as a European compliance automation leader (SOC 2, ISO 27001). Backend implementation took about two weeks, and using their common model was enough. They’re constantly expanding support for more European systems, making them an ideal fit. The single API, common data model, and customizable integrations make setup and scaling seamless. Key features like detailed logs, tool scoping, and multi-language support address major challenges in the European market. Plus, their support is top-notch—fast, responsive on Slack, and always proactive.

From my experience, I’d recommend designing the backend properly and fully leveraging the common model—don’t rush into custom integrations (remote API data) too soon. Last year, we did a quick, hacky implementation with a similar tool, and going too deep too fast made expanding to other tools challenging. Remember, every API has its limits. Kombo’s coverage matrix saved us time and hassle by identifying these risks early!

The team is highly focused on HR APIs, and they work great. I haven’t encountered any issues so far. However, it would be nice if they offered integration with ticketing systems like Jira in the future.

I first came to use Kombo after looking to transition away from a major competitor platform and the difference was like night and day. Kombo's unified ATS APIs are comprehensive, the user onboarding process incredibly streamlined, and the customer support that the entire organisation – both executive and technical – delivers is responsive, timely and very human. No matter what the query or feature request, they will give it consideration and take the time to engage in a dialog; most unlike many other similar SaaS companies!

The solution is flexible enough that I have used it with multiple clients, each with quite different use-cases.

There is very little to dislike about Kombo specifically.

In general SaaS platforms of this nature can sometimes result in unexpectedly high scaling costs depending on use-case, but in this respect I would say that Kombo are currently very competitive, and also – crucially – willing to enter into constructive conversations around helping customers to ensure costs scale as expected. My advice to prospective Kombo users in this respect would be to plan budget from the start and keep open lines of communication with Kombo around expectations.

Integrations are essential to our SaaS business - without them, customers would be inclined to choose other tools that integrate with their recruitment process more seamlessly. As a result, we embarked on a journey of developing native integrations with our most common ATS's.

Unsurprisingly, this was a costly process and became time consuming to maintain. 

By working with Kombo, we have one integration that supports all our ATS needs. It removed all of the headache, maintenance and cost from integrating with systems. 

The Kombo team have repeatedly gone above and beyond with adding new integrations, supporting with troubleshooting, and adding useful new features - they are a pleasure to deal with and almost feel like an extension of our engineering team.

Not only have the team been amazing this year in supporting our roadmap for integations, they are also directly invovled in supporting our customers. It has been amazing to find an integraitons partner who is always on-hand to add new features, build new integrations and support when needed. Plus they have a beautiful backend which surfaces all kinds of useful information.

**What do you dislike about Kombo?**

Occationally we will get exctied by an integation which is in beta - but the process of getting through beta and into production can take a long time depending on the ATS. I get that this is out of Kombos hands and its really an ATS internal process issue, but expecations could be better managed.

**What problems is Kombo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They allow us to integrate with more ATS than ever before - and with incredible support and dashboards to manage everything.

**What problems is Kombo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us Kombo is acting as a middle-layer, providing seamless integrations with >100 of different HR and Payroll tools allowing to scale up the business with almost no effort. Kombo's unified approach simplifies the problem of managing multiple integrations. It literally allows to get access to hundreds of HR/Payroll systems with the very minimum integration effort!

**What do you like best about Kombo?**

They're experts at what they do. When they deliver an API endpoint it really works. This  is critical because any errors cause major delay with clients and the source of the error is hard to pinpoint when dealing with a middle ware. So I truly value Kombo's ability to execute in comparison to other tools I've used.

Nothing really. They've accomplished so much in such little time.

Kombo makes integrating across systems in HR tech easy. They allow us to connect with various ATSs in one go.
