Merger and acquisition (M&A) software combines all the functionalities businesses need to acquire and merge with other companies. This includes prospecting, deal management, due diligence, and post-merger analytics.

M&A software makes the process more efficient and transparent for all parties involved. They are created for and leveraged specifically by M&A firms and internal financial teams.

M&A software can be used by anyone involved in mergers and acquisitions on the buy side as well as the sell side. However, these solutions are mainly beneficial to corporate development professionals, and legal and finance teams.

M&A software should not be confused with project management tools, financial services CRM software, or point solutions that focus only on one phase of the M&A process, such as sourcing.
