What do you like best about codebeamer?

What do you dislike about codebeamer?

We would appreciate that the default template is more tailored to support basic development processes. The biggest challenge/surprise for us is to actually define everything from scratch, while we believed that using CB would ensure us the compliance to the standard processes (like proposed by Matlab/Simulink). An efficient tool for requirements engineering, artifacts management throughout the project lifecycle, while making project information transparent. It increases the communication efficiency and eases the traceability definition between all different kinds of items/elements. It also supports automatic documents generation, which makes the documentation and documents management much easier. In parallel, the V&V is also well integrated. What problems is codebeamer solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using CB to manage the requirements, share the technical information for projects, create test cases and results, generate documents needed for internal audits and external assessors, project progress follow-up.

Interface can be slow until caches are built up

Review system could be better, missing simple features like scrolling through the list of requirements to see what comments have been added

Draw.io plug-in for the editor is an old version and is missing a lot of features, causing usability problems with diagrams.

We need an ALM tool capable of working with us (rather than against us) for a highly complex medical device development, across all disciplines from human factors to mechanical, electronics and software as well as risk.
