"Smart Tools for Modern Projects"
What do you like best about Polarion?

I really like how Polarion brings all project requirements, tasks, documents, and changes into one organized system. It keeps everything connected and easy to manage, which saves a lot of time. The traceability is especially impressive it clearly links every requirement to its related tasks, test cases, and updates, so you can track the entire lifecycle without confusion. I also appreciate the real-time collaboration features. Everyone on the team can see the latest updates immediately, which reduces communication issues and keeps everyone aligned. Polarion’s integration with other tools, like version control and documentation platforms, makes the workflow even smoother and helps avoid duplication or missing information. What do you dislike about Polarion?

Some things I dislike about Polarion are its slow performance at times, especially when handling large projects 📂. The interface also feels a bit outdated and not very intuitive to navigate 🧭. If the setup process were simpler and the customization options more flexible, the overall user experience would improve a lot ⚙️. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A user friendly requirement tool with high potential"
What do you like best about Polarion?

I think that polarion is very user friendly compared to other tools. The documentation gives a chance to learn the specifics when doing the configuration, the scripting of widgets is very nice. Overall I really like Polarion and working with it!

The support works nice, nothing to complain about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polarion?

I think Polarion lacks a little in the exporting area. Specifically to be able to export the information that I want in a specific format. The great thing about the previous requirement tool we used was that we could export the information we had in any table format we wanted to excel.

It is sort of possible to do it in Polarion, create an export template for work items and using that. The issue is that it doesn't export the information I want when it has linked work items. I would really want to be able to export a work item with the corresponding linked work items, AND certain fields of those linked work items. Not just a table column with the linked work items.

Another thing in the same area is the filtering in the tracker view. The lucene filtering works but when I want to look at specific linked work items it sort of fails, I can us SQL queries but that is a bit much work since Polarion has like 1000 tables in the database. For example, I want to show all the test work items with a specific field that is linked to a parent work item: "id:TT-47 AND linkedWorkItem.role:verifiedBy AND linkedWorkItem.field.integrityLevel:asilD". Like that.

There is also a thing when wanting to move a work item. When in the tracker view moving an item into a document is trivial. But when I am working in a liveDoc i can't move an item, I have to open the item and then use the move function. I would like the function to be available when I work inside the document.

I also think the function to move a liveReport doesn't exist, it is only possible to move a liveDoc. At least i haven't found a way to move a liveReport yet.

Another feature that would be really nice to have is the ability to create Versions of an work item. Not just using the revision number, but actual versioning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful tool with lots more potential to be even better"
What do you like best about Polarion?

The ability to customize and integrate your own scripts to optimize our design control process. Savehooks, workflows, livereports are great and easy to customize. The UI is great. The services team is amazing. Shoutout to Teerawat Meevasin for being always available and quick to respond. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polarion?

While the UI is great, we wish it was more customizable by the customers (admins). Specifically, Test Management UI would benefit from more flexibility in customization by end-user/admins. The branch and merge capabilities are very lacking and do not support our parallel edit needs at all. Collections has a lot of unlocked potential. For example if we could generate trace reports exclusively using documents in a specific collection. Table Redlining needs some improvement. Redlines when tables are involved are messy. "Robust tool for requirement and test mangement"
What do you like best about Polarion?

1.Polarion excels in providing end-to-end traceability between requirements, test cases and defects.

2.The LiveDocs feature is very helpful for collaborating on requirements in a document-style format ,also maintains the traceability in the background.

3.It has ability to customize the workflow and the dashboard ,also helps to empower different teams for different requirements.

4.It has integration with the tools like Jenkins, Git, Jira which smoothens the experience

5.It also helps in maintaining a connected development lifecycle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polarion?

1.The learning curve is quite steep for new users,

2.The UI can feel outdated and sluggish at times, improvement needed

3.Customizing workflows or queries (Polarion Query Language) requires deep familiarity, which can create panic or fear of learning curve for non-technical users.

4.The initial setup and user onbording can also be improved with more intuitive guidance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive ALM tool with good configuration options"
What do you like best about Polarion?

The UI/UX is very appealing and clear. The configurations are very easy to understand and set up. The update policy (twice per year) is very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Polarion?

The functionality is limited in the out-of-the-box solution. To work diligently with the tool, extensions (Multilevel Traceability Widget, etc.) are absolutely necessary. The query capabilities are inadequate (e.g., not filterable by explicit link roles - only via SQL). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
