"CodebeamerX on its way to maturity?"
What do you like best about codebeamer?

The integration of several development tools is great: having the requirement management integrated with the verification and test development and execution is great. The application's overall look and feel is attractive and is also an asset. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about codebeamer?

The usability of the tool (mainly from a requirement engineer standpoint) is affected by many issues which affect the user experience and efficiency. We often feel like we are reporting obvious bugs or MMI issues that would have been caught earlier by previous users or by Intland test teams. As we need the product to help us improve our processes and efficiency, we are spending a significant amount of effort reporting the problems and tracking it. "Workspace screens feel too busy"
What do you like best about codebeamer?

I like the color changes when I approve items it gives it a game-like feel of achieving something when it flashes green. I havent used other competitor products for approval so I wouldn't know what to compare against. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about codebeamer?

Things that could change are enabling a single click on the trackers, It will speed things up, making things easier to use. Another one is if there was the option in the Tracker hierarchy tree to open on the tracker in the same window rather than opening in a new tab, making it more user-friendly. Finally if the use interface was simpler to remove redundant tabs it would be less distracting e.g. there probably isnt a need for 12 tabs at the top of the screen because they are already visible for me in the tracker hierarchy tree. "Codebeamer is my one-stop-shop"
What do you like best about codebeamer?

I love the fluidity of Codebeamer and the ability to modify almost every aspect to suit our needs. Exporting is a neat feature as well. It makes documentation so much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about codebeamer?

There's nothing in particular that I dislike about Codebeamer itself. I suppose my discomforts lie in lack of training on my part. There is a plethora of information in Codebeamers Wiki available to clarify any feature. I'm still relatively new to some of the features, as I hadn't needed them when I first used them. Don't let that discourage you! The answers are there, and Codebeamer support is available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Sometimes elegant, usually effective, occasionally clunky"
What do you like best about codebeamer?

- Easy to share development information across multiple organizations in real-time

- Compelling Excel export capability - possible to combine information from many tables into one or more worksheets

- Flexible Excel import capability - useful for heavy editing and legacy data import

- Tracker templates with inheritance

- Custom option-select fields where the options are defined in a tracker rather than hard coded in the field definition

- Extensible through multiple APIs

- The review capability for requirements is popular with users - everybody can see all comments and replies in one place

- Ability to search everything on the server

- Thorough documentation on codebeamer.com via the wiki ("Knowledge Base") and support forums

- Knowledgeable support and generally quick response times Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about codebeamer?

- Parts of the GUI are obtuse.

- The ability to view data from multiple linked trackers in the GUI is limited. Excel export or the REST interface can handle most needs, but each requires some setup time.

- The documentation could be improved with more conceptual information about what codebeamer can do. Some areas are good, but others could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Taking Control of your Product Development"
What do you like best about codebeamer?

Codebeamer provides a highly flexible tool to take control of the full lifecycle of product development. It enables small/medium companies to get away from a mish-mash of tools, spreadsheets and ad-hoc issue management and centralize development. It provides coherent workspaces to track development stages from end-user requirements, through development and onto end-of-line production tracking. Customisable reporting and dashboards are an integral part of the tool - this provides a mechanism for stakeholders to get a concise overview of the current state of a product. Codebeamer provides useful templates to get started quickly and importing exporting data from existing spreadsheets works well. Codebeamer themselves are responsive to reported issues and keen to assist people in the effective use of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about codebeamer?

Once you start customising the workflows and workspaces; there is a significant learning curve to be able to find and connect pieces of the system in the way you'd like to. Visual tools are available for some of this customisation; however editing json is still required to connect external CI results (for example). As a tool, Codebeamer appears to have favoured providing breadth of lifecycle coverage over depth and UI slickness in areas, the menu organisation seems clunky in places - although the UI continues to be improved on a regular basis.
