I appreciate

The different views of CB (table view, document view, kanban).

The possibilities to configure the platform especially the review

I don't appreciate :

- at each modification, the version of requirement is increasing.

- all views are not synchronized

codebeamer has putting requirements, testing, development, etc. into one project management, with good traceability and traceability matrix, simple and efficient UI, friendly learning curve, easier approval process Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about codebeamer?

Some of the underlying logic is a little hard to understand, very fine granularity of permissions configuration and complex configuration logic, Jenkins plugins have not been updated for too long Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Native support for Gitlab and GitHub integration, in line with the current technology stack of software-intensive teams such as smart driving and smart cockpit

Supports direct test case generation through requirements, and can directly generate statistical reports on test case coverage, and supports intelligent export of bi-directional test documents

Support custom report generation, and support independent report management outside the project, cross-project report generation, timed report delivery and report review

High openness for rapid integration with development tool chains

What do you like best about codebeamer?

Easy to customise trackers (modules) with fields (attributes), item lifecycles (states) and references (links) to items in other trackers; plenty of flexibility in these options too. Comprehensive control and easy customisation of user permissions and item lifecycle transitions. Easily create & compare tracker baselines. Full item edit history tracking and ability to roll-back. Good export to Word & Excel using built-in or custom templates. Good import/export of ReqIF. Excellent for managing requirements & test information/data and linkage/traceability between these. Can easily handle project management data such as risk & task trackers, with linkage to technical trackers such as requirements etc. Easy UI access via web browser. Built-in document management system. Unique tracker and item URLs make it robust to change and easy to share information with other users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about codebeamer?

UI could be improved; not very intuitive or flexible. Metric graphs could be more powerful/flexible. Tracker document and table views could be more customisable, seem not well thought through and are missing some basic features. Help material is written for expert users; more accessible training material would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is codebeamer solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use it for requirements and test management but may also use it for some aspects of project/task management and other business needs where comprehensive tracking of items is needed (e.g. risks, open issues etc.). Basically anywhere that you would normally turn to Excel to tabulate data that evolves over time and is shared across a team is probably a good use case for Codebeamer.
