I haven´t noticed downsides to Rebelle so far, I was worried about the performance on extra large canvases but everything runs smooth. (Notice: my PC has a ryzen 9900x3d, 64 Gb ddr5 6000 mt/s, an RTX 4070 super and Rebelle is installed on a SSD M.2 Nvme drive, but i do encounter performance issues on other digital painting softwares like CSP or PS when using huge canvas/resolutions and demanding brushes at big sizes) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love making digital paintings or drawings that look traditional and I always find flaws on the way it works on other programs, Like PS bevel and emboss function on custom brushes with various overlay and under textures works decent, but i does still look digital, plus it is quite complicated and consists of a lot of trial and error, fine tunning, very heavy files and dealing with lag. The only issues I have ran into so far are crashes and the autosave function failing. At times, it will freeze up randomly even if there was no input into the program. SketchUp is frustrating to me due to the fact that it limits a user when most projects become more sophisticated, especially in areas such as high-detail modeling or advanced rendering. If the file is heavy, performance will definitely decline and for the features that are considered to be very important like powerful rendering, advanced modeling tools, and better material management—most of them already be paid plugins or third-party extensions. The ease of use is a plus for newcomers to 3D modeling, but it can eventually turn out to be a constraint for projects that are meant for professional quality. SketchUp has the ability to rapidly transform the initial design concepts into precise, correlative 3D images, thus eliminating the need for proficiency in CAD or a complex process. It is a great tool for brainstorming ideas, experimenting with scales, and communicating designs to clients or partners in a much quicker manner than the traditional drafting process. Being very user-friendly, I am able to iterate fast, have several options and spot problems early in the design timeline. The biggest drawback is the learning curve, which is pretty typical for advanced editing software. We use BricsCAD to automate CAD processing inside AWS. Engineers upload DWG files to S3, which triggers a Lambda workflow that calls BricsCAD on EC2 via Systems Manager.
