It allows you to edit with seamless interaction, the tools are easy to use and the interface is excellent. We can save the files in the cloud so that we have access to the files all the time and anywhere in the world. When selecting SHADED WITH EDGES, the edge color is "by entity" by default. I like the edges all black. It is also easy to learn, and with a short training session, a user can be fully familiarized with the software. AutoCAD was too large and was not necessary for the supervisory and managers that wanted/needed to view .dwg files. Software interface was easy to use. **What do you dislike about Autodesk DWG TrueView?** If a user is coming from a full version of AutoCAD, the limited capabilities of TrueView is disorienting. Users will have to unlearn some basic commands and learn new commands specific to TrueView. Have the commands be similar to AutoCAD to allow users of the full version to not require additional training. Sometimes there is a need to see the drawings but there is no need to have a full version of AutoCAD. There is also a big need to convert DWG file types from one to another in order to expand your network that you do business with. If you do not have to worry about the specific file type that you are using it makes it much easier. **What do you dislike about Autodesk DWG TrueView?** I think that one of the things that could be better is instead of having all 3 flavours of reviewing software, I think it could be merged into 1 package. I am not sure that there is a need to have Autodesk Viewer, DWG TrueView and Design Review. There are only slight differences between the three and to me, they could be all merged together. **Recommendations to others considering Autodesk DWG TrueView:** There is not much that I could say for recommendations. The only thing I would suggest is right from the onset, especially because it is free, give all staff access right away because you never know when they would require it. **What problems is Autodesk DWG TrueView solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem that we are solving is the interoperability between the different DWG formats. There are difference use cases for all the DWG formats and then there is a need to coordinate them together in the end and this is the tool that easily allows us to do this. This is a very easy tool to use for those that are not proficient and those that do not need to be proficient with AutoCAD. ### 43. It is also useful for viewing .dxf files, which I personally require quite a lot and do not have a requirement for a CAD program on my one pc. **What do you dislike about Autodesk DWG TrueView?** .dwf files are not supported, which can be a hinderance and another viewer is required. Only .dwg and .dxf files are supported, which is a bit limiting, and any other formats require a licensed CAD program or online viewer. It takes quite a while to install though and is quite large **Recommendations to others considering Autodesk DWG TrueView:** It is lovely for viewing .dwg and .dxf files, but other file formats need add ons or you need to use an online viewer. You can use to look over prints for planning and implementing if there are any changes to the prints. You can save the drawing into other formats when needed. there are plenty of sample files you can use to get a good idea on how to use DWG Viewer. no only can you open up DWG files but you can also open up DXF files.the converter is really simple to use and you can convert all the way back to 2000, The converter table is really handy as well as the FTP setup. It is very easy to add shared files to DWG viewer. You can remove layers and add layers using DWG viewer that are on the print. really really nice tool. you can check the end points and the midpoints as well.
