**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I love the different color options in Sketchbook as they make me more expressive with my art and help bring my artwork to life. It's also great that I can use it across my mobile devices because a lot of other software doesn't allow me to be as creative. Plus, setting it up was very easy for me since I just had to download the app, and being familiar with it made navigating around it simple.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

What could be improved is, like, the different brush sizes and, like, the usability, you know, because, like, I have to select from the brush sizes, and, like, that could have been more intuitive.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sketchbook because it integrates well with my tablet and mobile devices, allowing for more creativity compared to other software.

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

Really, Sketch Book can be used for everything from simple art to graphic design and more. It’s pretty much a must-have.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

The only thing I would say is that the pen feature doesn’t have many options.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It really depends on your day-to-day needs, but for me it’s beneficial. I use the overlay to align coins—like double dies—and try to match them as closely as possible.

The best feature is combining professional‑grade digital drawing tools with a clean, distraction‑free interface that feels natural.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

The biggest drawback is the lack of advanced features found in full creative suites, like strong photo editing, animation, or asset management.

It translate tradicional drawing skills into the digital space in an intituitivem fast and natural drawing environment

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I like that it has lots of good brushes that you can organize easily for quick use and that you can download the images to PSD for free.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

It’s mostly for drawing so the photo manipulation part of the app is not so good. Also, the paid version could have more features.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s a nice lightweight app to draw on the iPad or on my cellphone. I especially like the watercolor brushes.

  ### 5. Best for quick edits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tourian A. | Psychology Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

The main advantage of Sketchbook is its ease of use. What I like most are the various brush designs that allow me to recreate everything from diagrams and visual representations of psychological concepts to diagrams of mental processes and engaging teaching material for presentations. In addition, the support for touch input and stylus use offer an almost identical experience to traditional drawing!

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

The editing tools, while useful, may fall short for projects that require more image manipulation. It shines in creation, but not so much in post editing.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to think that creating detailed and adaptive graphics for my studies involved a laborious process, but with Sketchbook I can produce complex schematics and renderings in minutes. Sketchbook has a user-friendly interface that strikes a good balance between simplicity and efficiency.

  ### 8. I use Sketchbook for Teacher Lessons

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marianne G. | Feralartist, Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I like being able to design lesson covers on the iPad. I can also write my lessons in text and add visuals. It is usually very easy.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

The hardest thing for me in Sketcbook is writing text. You have to write line by line and then add. There is only a small little box where you compose your text. The problem is in adding text, and getting each line to look like it is in a paragraph. It tends to wobble when adding it to the main page, and can be off by a few degrees. It is also hard to keep the text in the same size font, as it tends to increase or decrease depending on how you move it from the composition box to the main body.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

It has basic features and a layering and import tool which I find quite exciting.
The animation looks interesting and I have yet to try it out.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketchbook makes it easy for me to compose art lessons, page by page.

  ### 9. Best drawing app with potential

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hazel P. | Freelance Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

Ive been using this for 3 years and its the most convenient and easiest to use app for sketching and designing. Plus the free tools to use are enough to make an amazing artwork. You dont need to spend so much money to be able to use it.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

As an artist, the filling part is a bit an inconvenience for me cause it doesnt fully fill the solid shape. You will still see the outline and go thru another fill to fully fill up the solid shape.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cost and ease of use. The fact that you can use pretty much everything for free, i also like the ease of usage. Its very simple to use yet it has so much potential that can possibly reach the level of procreate.

  ### 10. Nice sketch application that has room for improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ira Mae R. | Senior Research Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

It allows me to make sketches, digital drawings and paintings. I particularly love it because it works well with samsung's SPEN and you can really create mind blowing images using this app. It has a lot of brush selections and the color pallette is very flexible. It is also very user friendly and does not really require special trainings.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

In terms of brush flexibility, normally, if you use a brush physically, you are able to twist it or move it around. Just like using a "broad marker", the output usually depends on how you position the tip of the pen, sketchbook does not address that making it hard do recreate certain strokes in paintings and drawings.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It let's me make digital drawings with ease. The adjustable brush sizes and strength makes the experience and execution a lot easier. The undo function also makes you more confident to draw since you know that you can always go back if you make some mistakes and it won't leave any marks.

  ### 11. A good APP to draw your projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos A. | Senior Designer and Creative Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

It has many options of brushes, pencils, etc.
Layers can be worn, that's great.
has many color options.
Ideal for those moments of inspiration when you are away from your studio.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

It has always bothered me when I enlarge and the image rotates and is at an awkward angle.
One should simply be able to zoom in without causing the image to rotate. Place a magnifying glass tool somewhere.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

The performance of the APP is directly related to the pencil you use to draw.
Use a good tablet with the right pencil, Mac pencil for iPad
Intuos for android, although I didn't like it very much.
Don't use the pencil too fast
I make a sketch on paper first, I take a photo of it and on that photo I draw.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Variousl.
I use it for the following:
•Sketches of paintings
•draw a logo idea
•mark changes customers make
•make caricatures of characters or humor
•draw landscapes or places when I go for a walk
•do color studies for paintings and works that later I make large and higher resolution formats.

The best app for making quick sketches transformative to full artwork loaded with varieties of brushes and pens which seems real when being used in a clean and unobtrusive interface. The customer support is awesome as it also provides learning resources providing detailed help in terms of how to use the tools, pens and brushes in the app. The app can be used daily for rough sketches and it can also be used to produce beautiful artworks.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Nothing so far seems to be disliked in this app as it meet all the requirements as needed by me.

Creation of sketches and drawings helps me showcase my theoretical ideas in the form of art to my students and followers.

It helps a lot when it comes to fast sketching and vizualisation of the project. It is also help me to achieve my expectations to client.

The problems that i solve when i use Sketchbook is the fast and timely manner of my project.

  ### 14. i've been doing elementary drawing on the app and using it to write notes

**Reviewed by:** baxter s. | Communications Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

the multiple layers for the illustration. I enjoy being able to open new layers and draw without risking what I have underlaying it

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

the UI could be a little better. It took me a while to figure out how to quickly switch between pens, inks, colors etc. Maybe I missed a tutorial somewhere? But i was confused

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a way to draw illustrations on my ipad and this was super helpful to do so. The free apps offered limited support and I needed a bit more than that.

  ### 15. Sketchbook for my Business

I love how this app is for free and can be used anytime conveniently. There are lot of features that can be used with projects. Customer support is right on the app and the implementation is very smooth.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

There are some features that are not available if not upgraded to premium. I wish it's cheaper by the annual.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If I need something to draw on while I am on the go, I have my sketchbook app with me, so I won't have to worry about bringing loads of stuff like a notebook, paper and pencil. It's very convenient.

  ### 16. All-Around Great Drawing Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** haylie k. | English and Writing Tutor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

The ample amount of tools available to use. There's so many sometimes I can't decide or even know the difference between them.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I would like to know better how to use all the different tools. Sometimes it's overwhelming because there's so many options.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I do a lot of note taking, so I do use it for that but I also use it to repair photographs and restore images I took with a camera when the colors didn't come out as much as I hoped they would.

  ### 17. Excellent Sketching App

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2016

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

Sketchbook is easy, intuitive and has a great interface. It's a light and fast program as well. For quick sketches, it's awesome. I can open the app and start sketching right away. It's easy to just get going and creating.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

My main tool in my office is Photoshop and the Procreate app is what comes closest to Photoshop, so Procreate is my main go-to when I can't work on Photoshop. I haven't found Sketchbook to have the tools I need to produce finished art.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

If you want something light and easy to use for sketching, use Sketchbook. If you want something to be able to produce sketches all the way through to final art, use Procreate.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketchbook solves the problem when a quick sketch is needed. It's quick and intuitive with a great interface, those are its main benefits. The speed and ease of use definitely speeds up my workflow.

  ### 18. A great tool for intermediate users

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr Sowmya L. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2022

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

The canvas is vast and hence it almost feels like a blank notebook. The different options for brushes and the ease to access it is definitely a plus.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

As a beginner at Sketch book, I would have liked to get some tips on how to use different options. One of the major dislikes is non layers.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easy to sketch anything using sketch book when compared to other softwares. That's one of the reasons why I will recommend this anytime.
The problem that as a beginner I faced is access to layers or different elements separately.

  ### 19. A free, awesome version of Procreate

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kaustav K B. | Product Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

It's not as rich and feature-packed as Procreate, but being free is the best. There are straightforward workarounds to some advanced layer features/brush styles etc.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

As I mentioned, the paid tools do have more features that sketchbook doesn't, they also support more layers, colour styles, advanced masking features etc. But Sketchbook is still a great product for students to hash out early idea sketches.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its a simple and straightforward sketching and coloring tool. It could definitely benefit from being more tightly integrated with other Autodesk tools like AUTOCAD or Revit. This is the fastest free way I have found to quickly generate concept sketches during discussions, without wasting paper.

The best part about Sketchbook is the user interface and the array of tools to pick from. Moderately easy to use once familiarised. Customer support is good and effective.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

While using the program I thought it could be more intuitive in terms of navigating the tools. Some brushes/strokes would lag and make the experience not so realistic.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me put down thoughts and ideas in the speed of the narrative I'm building in my mind. This makes it easy to make all conceptualised thoughts tangible and helps me express it clearly to others.

**Reviewed by:** Htike A. | Art Director | UI/UX Designer | Motion Designer | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

It is a very good software for sketching your random ideas. It has varitires of brush storkes and they are so orgranic in drawing. If you are more keen on architectural drawing, the software provide tools like Perspective guide. And even frech curve for fashion designers. I also like the color code of Copic series for illustrators and cartoonists. And the software itself doesn't require much storage space.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I don't like the fact that there is no clipping mask layer feature which is a huge drawback for artists. Also not so much blending features such as watcolor effects. Lack of rotaional smmmetry feature for drawing mandala. And there is no timeline frame for flipbook animation.

It would be insanely awesome if Sketchbook allowed for vector drawings over rasterized images. Sketchbook is cost-effective and designed as a drawing tool. That it does well at. Having a vector image would only make it better.

I use Sketchbook for private purposes and at the moment I haven't found any major disadvantages. It is a pity that from June 2021 it is no longer supported and developed.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software is free and gives you great opportunities to create professional graphics. The great advantage of the Shechbook is the speed of interaction. Brushes respond appropriately, even when painting over a large canvas. Sometimes it makes it easier to keep handwritten notes in online meetings.

  ### 32. Best sketching software out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vibhor G. | User Experience Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2022

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

The toolbar helps to grab any required tool quickly and is very clean and straightforward to understand. The user experience of the application is smooth and comfortable.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Sometimes I grab the image and directly drag it into the app, creating a new file with that image, while I only want that image as a layer. To do the same, you must import the image and cannot drag and drop it.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For quick iterations and sketches, drawings - sketchbook pro is the best solution as other software, such as photoshop, takes a lot of time and effort from the pc to open up.

**Reviewed by:** Anil Kumar S. | Proprietor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

It is easy to use, never lags and it's advanced tools are second to none. I can draw without stylus and it is the perfect choice for an art enthusiast. I have used Adobe Draw and Ibix, but this is the best app. There are no irritating ads too.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

It lacks some important features like advanced layers option, there is no undo button and no option to save colors in order to avoid the need to choose the same colour again and again.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

Save your progress at every step to avoid loosing everything at end.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a budding artist and sketchbook is my go-to app for my digital art needs. It helps me grow as an artist and develop my skills. My business performance has increased as I can now design personalized sketches for my company.

**Reviewed by:** Andrea V. | Artista Textil, Textiles, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I really like Sketchbook because it gives me basic and simple tools for drawing. It is extremely user-friendly and intuitive, both the app and the desktop software are very good. It integrates very well with the digital tablet. As for its tools, the variety of brushes gives me the opportunity to draw as if I were doing it on paper, since there are different effects and textures.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I use Sketchbook for sketching and then move on to other more comprehensive software to continue the process, as this software does not work with vectors, so I cannot scale my drawings as I want and it is also not useful for me when printing on a large scale.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

I highly recommend it because it is easy to use, has an affordable price, and is excellent software to start drawing.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a textile designer, I need to create my patterns and designs before transferring them to fabric, so I use Sketchbook for this task. It is very easy to use, which significantly reduces the time it takes to create my sketches. I can quickly capture ideas or work on them much more. The price is quite affordable, and I am very happy with it.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

It is very simple and easy to use. You will also get different variety of features to use for free

Intuitive and accurate drawing tools. Easy to create beautiful drawings. Works on desktop and iOS, which makes it easy to save and share art.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

The latest version removed the Copic Marker color palette and brush sets. I found these very usefull and I am disappointed they were removed.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

This is a create creative tool. There used to be a great set of brushes to use, but even still there are good options available to make beautiful sketches.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This tool is great for using to sketch out ideas. I often will insert screen shots of floor plans and 3D views to sketch design concepts in the app.

  ### 39. Sketchbook has good drawing tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arantxa G. | Diseñador de páginas web autónomo, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

What I like the most is that it is very easy to use, very friendly and intuitive. Unlike other programs, we can use Sketchbook, both beginners and veterans, as it is very easy to locate the tools, work with layers, etc. I love the default color palettes it has, differentiated depending on whether you are going to design or illustrate. It has a great variety. The brushes are amazing, although I haven't gotten around to customizing them yet, but I believe it has that option.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I think it lacks adjustment tools to better control the figures that are created. Also, the desktop version stopped being free recently and it really disappointed me a bit. However, it's not as expensive as I thought it would be. It's really worth paying for this software.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

For both beginners and experts, I believe this software fulfills the necessary functions to create good designs in an intuitive and user-friendly way.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am venturing into digital illustration, which is a field I have always liked, and after trying several drawing software, I chose Sketchbook for its simplicity and because its tools align with what I want to do in this area. I have already completed my first works and I am very happy! I really like the finish I can give them with the variety of brushes it has, and the work even looks much more organic and realistic than when using other, perhaps more precise, software.

  ### 40. Gets the job done quickly and efficiently

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ronald L. | 2D Artist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

Sketchbook is a really good application that can help create complex as well as simple drawings, from architectural drawing to concept arts everything can be done conviniently using sketchbook and the fact that this software provides a free version to use makes it even more convinient to use since it helps in cost cutting for the company.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Even though sketchbook has a lot of features and functionalities but it still lacks in terms of usability, it has a richfesture set but the user interface feels a little complex from the standards of a beginner and if a person does not have some previous knowlede they will be unable to find a specific feature that can be used to complete that specific task.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

For people who need areal good digital sketchbook with a rich feature set

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketchbook has helped us in mobility, since it is also available for tablets like ipad it can be used on the go to create quick artworks and concept arts and can also be used as a notebook to take notes in, the different features also come in real handy and the artwork created can be used to display professionally with a good amount of details.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

When using the prediction feature please make sure to save your work, it could be lost

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I didn't want to purchase a licensed application as a beginner in the design field. Sketchbook has provided me every required feature free and helps me work very easily on my dream ideas

  ### 44. A pretty good drawing application for devices that use the android operating system!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I like the variety of brushes provided and how simple the layout of the app is. It is easy to use, and there are many tutorials available online so that even if you aren't artistic, you can still learn to create good pieces. In addition, the brushes and other settings are still relatively customizable, which is a bonus. You are able to have quite a few layers and each has multiple options. You can also import photos into the app and incorporate them into the art you are working on. This is a great app for android devices, and it is free!

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

There are some issues that I have had with the program. One being issues with viewing past pieces in the gallery. They will not load or appear properly, which is frustrating. In addition, I wish it was easier to zoom into pieces without the screen rotating so much. If there were a toggle lock feature for the canvas that would not tilt it while zooming in, the app would be better. As far as I am aware, this feature does not exist, but this isn't a significant issue. Overall the app is a great option for those with non iOS devices.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sketchbook is great for creating great pieces and for photoshopping small photos. I especially like how portable it is since you can use the app on your phone or a different device! I like using this for notes or minor adjustments to other works.

  ### 45. Invaluable for creation of advertising materials

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I like best the fact that the tool is super-affordable compared to other options from Adobe. I paint and have a significant amount of sketches. I love the fact that I can incorporate my paintings into advertising materials.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

It does not allow to have several files open at once. I have to go through the command line to open a second copy of the tool with another file on my Mac.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the tool to create attractive advertising and web materials for my business. I also need to size pictures according to specific requirements.
The tool is handy and intuitive, so I can create and try multiple visuals in no time without impeding the development process.

  ### 46. Great tool for beginners as well as Pros

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Somnath B. | Technical Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

I love how intuitive and user friendly Sketchbook is. It is a great software to create graphic represeantations of ideas. Especially the symmetry and predictive stroke features help me create the designs I want. The variety of sketching tools is impressive. I also love the time lapse feature to record my moves for furture reference and teaching.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I use Adobe Sketchbook on my Mac and my iPad interchangably, I wish there was more seamless transfer of my work between them. There can be greater support for Apple pencil for Sketchbook on iPad.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use sketchbook to create logos, graphic designs and sometimes sketches too. I seldom use it for making greeting cards for professional as well as personal use.

  ### 47. Great tool for quick highlights and image edits

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyla O. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

It's like photoshop if you don't really need photoshop but you still need to edit an image, is fast, quick and intuitive to use. My main use is to hightlight things that can't be easily done, add a quick circle, a little of text and whenever it's needed add some effects to the image I'm editing. What I like the most is the simplicity of the User Interface, I started using it on my iPad and most of the time I still do it that way, but if I need to do some extra edits it is also available on my Mac. It also doubles as a good notes App on the iPad

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I love the interface on the iPad it allows me to work faster and as a bonus allows me to pass the files to my Macbook really easily but I'm not a big fan of the MacOSX app, it is still easy to use but some parts are kind of confusing. If I have not used them before on the iPad before I could have been confused on the use of some functions.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

If you have a touch screen on your device Sketchbook is the most intuitive app to use if you are not a graphic designer. It is also free so a great deal

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically editing images for things are easier to explain with an image than with plain text.

  ### 48. Better than Photoshop

I love how lag free it is to use. Love the real estate you can as an artist to create. Plus its free!

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

Wish it was updated with more brushes but now that it's free I can't complain.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

Just download it.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've become a better artist because of the software

  ### 49. Great on the go tool for design

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Architecture & Planning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

A straightforward design tool to use on a tablet. Great software to use in client meetings and field trips.

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

It is tricky to switch between pencils. The software is hard to use on the phone. It is to use on a tablet.

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving architectural charettes. I am designing on the go with clients and at school.

  ### 50. Great tool for quick drafts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Athena C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Sketchbook?**

As a part of the daily job, I have to draft some ideas that need pen and paper or a good program that can substitute them. I mainly use this on my surface pro to draw things that aren't easily expressed with only letters like an action plan with several branches and if they look right then pass them to a more formal tool like Project or Excel, it also works great on my mac but I hate drawing with a mouse so I hardly use it there if I had a Wacom I would use it all day but it is redundant with my surface so I don't plan to do that soon

**What do you dislike about Sketchbook?**

I guess this is mainly an issue with my surface or low ram devices since that doesn't happen in my MacBook but if I open a high-resolution image and start to draw on it after a while it becomes really slow, sometimes so slow that I end up printing the file and working with paper(sorry earth) but it is not too frequent so I can't really complain.

**Recommendations to others considering Sketchbook:**

It's free and easy to use a great tool in every way

**What problems is Sketchbook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quickly sketching plans and ideas
