best Benchmark Software.

Benchmark software is a critical tool for evaluating and enhancing computer performance. It gauges the capabilities of hardware components like CPU, GPU, SSD, and more across various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, macOS, and even iOS and Android. By stressing the components through real-world scenarios and stress tests, benchmark software tools measure clock speeds, temperatures, and voltages while assessing factors such as multi-core efficiency, frames per second (FPS), and GPU temperature. The best benchmarking programs adhere to industry standards such as DirectX, Vulkan, and ray tracing, ensuring compatibility with modern technologies and providing a comprehensive assessment of hardware capabilities.
Benchmark results help users, enthusiasts, and professionals make informed hardware upgrades, optimize overclocking settings, and validate improvements. Benchmarking tools can be standalone applications dedicated solely to performance evaluation or integrated as a feature within hardware monitoring software.

“Authentic, Experience-Based Reviews for PRTG Paessler”
What do you like best about Paessler PRTG?

The absolute standout for me is how effortlessly I can spin up custom EXE sensors that pull live Modbus data straight from our legacy PLCs on the factory floor and correlate it with power draw on individual CNC machines. No other tool I’ve tried lets me do that without fighting through three layers of middleware or writing a full-blown agent. Last quarter I had one sensor flagging a 12% spike in vibration on a milling station at 2 a.m.—turned out to be a bearing starting to go. Fixed it during the next shift window instead of losing half a day of production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Paessler PRTG?

The hierarchical grouping for OT devices is still pretty manual. Every time maintenance swaps a sensor or adds a new actuator I have to go rebuild the tree structure by hand, and if you forget one sub-group the maps look like a jigsaw with missing pieces. It’s not a deal-breaker, but after a busy shutdown week it feels like busywork that should be smarter by now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Paessler PRTG solving and how is that benefiting you?

We used to fly blind on predictive maintenance—machines would just fail and we’d scramble. Now PRTG gives us trending curves I can actually show the maintenance guys in plain English. We cut unplanned downtime by roughly 40 % on the critical lines and shaved about 18 % off our quarterly energy bill because we finally saw which machines were idling at full power overnight. The ROI showed up in the first six months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Unmatched flexibility for custom monitoring, but the UI and setup are strictly for power users”
What do you like best about Pandora FMS?

Being an Infrastructure Engineer in a complex hybrid environment the most valuable thing about Pandora FMS to me is its extensive customization with its Software Agents. Pandora can allow me to write simple Bash or PowerShell scripts on our local servers, output a single value and instantly monitor it as a custom "Module" unlike other tools which lock you into out-of-the-box metrics. Their proprietary Tentacle protocol is also highly valued by me and It ensures that the secure transfer of monitoring data out of our limited on-premise database servers to the main Pandora console are incredibly reliable, without opening a myriad of firewall ports. Moreover, the fact that it can easily accommodate SNMP v3 traps on our Cisco core switches along with the Windows WMI polling lets us have a real single pane of glass. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pandora FMS?

Learning curve is notoriously steep since the platform uses its own specific terminology (Agents, Modules, Policies) that takes time to learn and The web console interface is very old fashioned and hulky it can be a pain to navigate through multiple sub-menus only to adjust a single alert threshold. Also, it is highly unforgiving on creating mass configurations using their Policies feature. When writing a small regex mistake in defining a module in a policy then it will not apply right to your target servers, and it is a pain to troubleshoot that deployment failure. Finally, major version upgrades on the Pandora server are always very sensitive in terms of MySQL database backups as custom dashboards at times fail during the upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Pandora FMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Prior to Pandora FMS I had a piece-meal visibility with one tool to see the network hardware and another to see the server operating system and Pandora made it all one, saving us huge licensing fees and time on troubleshooting. The example that occurred in the real world recently was in one of our legacy billing apps that we host. The application would occasionally silently hang without actually spiking the CPU, and as a result was never monitored. I just wrote a custom agent module script, which pings on the particular application port after every 60 seconds. So, when the response time is more than 2 seconds, Pandora not only alerts us but also automatically triggers a response script to restart the particular windows service. This proactive self-healing has rescued us into a few large user-facing outages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Comprehensive Tool for Application Performance Management”
What do you like best about ManageEngine Applications Manager?

What I like best about ManageEngine Applications Manager is its all-in-one monitoring capability, allowing visibility across servers, applications, databases, and cloud services from a single dashboard, combined with its relatively easy setup and user-friendly interface; it supports a wide range of technologies, offers strong alerting and reporting features, helps with quick root cause analysis, and delivers good value for money compared to other enterprise monitoring tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ManageEngine Applications Manager?

What I dislike about ManageEngine Applications Manager is that its initial setup and configuration can be complex and time-consuming, especially for large environments, and the user interface can feel cluttered or outdated at times; additionally, integration with third-party tools is somewhat limited, advanced features may require higher licensing tiers, and users often report excessive alert noise that needs fine-tuning, along with occasional performance issues and gaps in documentation or support responsiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ManageEngine Applications Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

ManageEngine Applications Manager helps solve key problems like lack of visibility across complex IT environments, unexpected downtime, and slow issue resolution by providing real-time monitoring of applications, servers, databases, and cloud services from a single platform; it proactively detects performance issues and bottlenecks before they impact users, enables faster root cause analysis, and reduces mean time to repair, which ultimately improves system availability and user experience. This benefits me by minimizing service disruptions, reducing manual troubleshooting effort, optimizing resource usage, and allowing the team to focus more on proactive maintenance rather than reactive firefighting, leading to better operational efficiency and more reliable business services. “Clear, Practical Dashboard That Simplifies Database Monitoring Across Systems”
What do you like best about SolarWinds Observability?

What I like most about the SolarWinds database is how clearly it shows what is happening inside the database without making things confusing. Even if you are not a database expert, you can still understand where the problem is coming from. The dashboard feels clean and practical, not overloaded with unnecessary information. It saves a lot of time because you don't have to dig through logs or run multiple queries just to understand performance issues. Slow queries, high CPU usage, or memory problems are highlighted in a very straightforward way. This makes daily monitoring less stressful. Another good thing is how it works well with different databases. Whether it is SQL Server, MySQL, or another database, everything can be monitored from one place. This is very helpful when you manage multiple systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SolarWinds Observability?

One thing I don't like much is that the setup can feel heavy at the beginning. It takes some time to configure everything properly, especially if the environment is large. For new users the first few days can feel overwhelming. The pricing can also be a concern. For small teams or companies, it may feel expensive compared to simpler tools. Not everyone needs all the advanced features, but they still come as part of the package. Sometimes the alerts can feel too frequent if they are not tuned well. Without proper configuration, you might review notifications that are always urgent, which can become distracting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SolarWinds Observability solving and how is that benefiting you?

SolarWinds Database mainly solves the problem of not knowing what is wrong when a database slows down or behaves unexpectedly. In many systems, when performance drops, teams waste hours guessing the cause. This tool removes that guesswork. It clearly shows which queries are slow, which resources are being overused, and where bottlenecks are forming. Because of this, troubleshooting becomes faster and more accurate. You don't fix things blindly anymore. This directly benefits day-to-day work because issues are resolved before they affect users, applications stay stable, and downtime is reduced. that improves trust from both customers and internal teams. It also helps with long-term planning. By looking at historical data, you can understand growth trends and prepare for future loads. This avoids sudden crashes or last-minute fixes. It helps reduce stress during incidents because you don't have to panic or guess where the issue is coming from. The data is already there, clearly shown, so decisions feel clearer and more confident. It improves teamwork because developers, DBAs, and operations teams can all look at the same information. This avoids blame games and long discussions about whose system caused the problem. it save a lot of manual effort. Without this tool, people often run scripts, export logs, or check multiple tools. SolarWinds database brings everything into one place, which speeds up daily work. It helps avoid repeated problems. By understanding the real cause of past issues, you can fix them properly instead of applying temporary solutions that break again later. it improve overall application performance. When the datbase run smoothely, the apps depending on it also feel faster and more reliable for end users. It supports better decision-making for upgrades. You can clearly see when hardware, memory, or database tuning is actually needed, instead of upgrading blindly and wasting money. it build confidence with management and the client. When asked about performance or outages. You can show clear data and explanation,s which makes you look prepared and professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
