**What do you like best about Xero?**

The best online accounting software in the market that is easy to use and helps with all financial activities such as accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and taxation. I think even the best part is the intuitive invoicing feature, which allows us to send automated invoices and payment reminders to the concerned party.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

It meets all our accounting needs with its robust capabilities and do not have any problematic features.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform efficiently links to business bank accounts easily importing all the bank statements which ultimately leads to a real-time account balance. Due to all the reconciliation and invoicing aspects, it saves so much time creating financial reports to communicate financial status of the business to stakeholders.

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I appreciate Xero's ease of use, which makes it very user-friendly for accounting and bookkeeping. I also really like the layout and the simplicity of it. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, making the transition from previous software smooth.

I haven't found anything that didn't have an acceptable work around as of yet.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero replaces QuickBooks Online for me, providing ease of use and a simple layout, without the high costs.

Effective Cloud based Accounting system and very powerful online invoicing and on bank reconciliation Xero provides the great functionalities.

Helpful on easy real time reports viewing, billing solution and on financial operations reporting through this platfprm is impressive.

No much that i can dislike on Xero and its Accounting functionalities since the first learning and implementation of Xero is easy and technical support needed to set up this platform.

Creating invoice, providing real time financial data reports, online payment management and helpful on budgeting and also billing via Xero is incredible and productive.

**What do you like best about Xero?**

When we started DigitalRyze, I didn’t think much about accounting software. It felt like one of those things you figure out later. But once we started using Xero, I realized how much mental space it saves. Sending invoices to clients in the UK or Canada takes just a few clicks now, and it looks clean and professional, no awkward PDFs or messy spreadsheets. What I really appreciate is the way it keeps everything connected. The moment a client pays, it syncs through Stripe, and I can see it reflected in my dashboard almost instantly. There’s a small sense of satisfaction in watching the numbers line up, knowing that I don’t have to dig through my email to confirm payments.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

There are a few things that still feel a bit stiff. Some of the deeper reports take a while to figure out, and sometimes I end up Googling how to do something that should be obvious. The mobile app is fine for checking numbers or sending a quick invoice, but it’s not great for more detailed work. I wish it matched the desktop version more closely. Small frustrations, but they add up when you’re on the move a lot.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero kind of gave us structure without making it feel like we were being boxed in. Before it, I was constantly switching between Excel sheets and WhatsApp messages to track who paid what. Now everything lives in one place, which means I can actually focus on growing the business instead of chasing paperwork. It’s also made it easier to work with clients abroad, no confusion about currencies or due dates, no awkward follow-ups.
It’s funny, but Xero doesn’t feel like “software” to me anymore. It’s just part of how we run things. Quietly in the background, keeping our finances clean so I can keep my head in the creative work. That’s probably the best compliment I can give it.

Xero has amazing accounting tools like invoicing which allows us to create incredible invoices for collecting payments and it also offers cash flow tracking which allows us to get insightful financial insights that we need to maintain a healthy financial situation, and I also like that it makes it easy to capture receipts which helps us to track our expenses to maintain a healthy expenditure behavior.

Xero has been at peak performance all through and I am impressed not to find anything least likeable.

Xero has made it easy for us to manage our cash flow and to streamline our financial operations like budgeting and invoicing. The outstanding financial analytical and reporting tools make it easy to evaluate our financial situation and ways to make it better.

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I like the UI. It's very user-friendly and easy to use. I also appreciate the integrated features, which separate and calculate everything correctly, making it easier to send and broadcast the bills to clients. The speed at which it helps calculate and send invoices is great, and it helps manage all our bills and clients in a centralized space. It also automates most of the tasks. Setting it up was very easy and user-friendly; we didn't even transition from another product before using it.

Bank Statement upload and cash coding are time savers.

no payroll and no job costing

ackward to setup  

setup should be a simple trial balance upload for clients with a existing business.  This block of bank accounts sucks and is not easy to convert clients.  Instructions are not well thought out and instructions are not straight forward.

Instructions should be from step 1 to completion of setup.  Your instructions for setup are not in order of the steps that you perform to get there.

Your instruction vidoes also do not work in the order that you present them.  At this point I have already been sold on the product, I want to be walked through how to best set-up a company.  Huge fail here.

It may save time for small clients, but for more complex clients, Xero is a fail.

Xero is primarily useful for tracking billings associated with process operations. I use it to validate the generation of invoices, affirm payment timelines, and cross-validate payments associated with service operations, ensuring process handovers do not stall due to billing misunderstandings.

Customizing views to conform to specific categories of processes requires a bit of configuration effort, especially if you want customized summaries.

I like Xero for creating reports and managing our monthly balances. The billing feature stands out the most as it allows me to include attachments and import items from the previous month. I'm pretty happy overall with Xero's functionality. The initial setup was very smooth and straightforward; I was able to set up the chart of accounts easily using a sample, which was good.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

I would like a little help in syncing with Gusto. Currently, I have to do this manually and create manual entries.

I use Xero to create reports, manage monthly balances, and handle billing and invoicing. I like its billing feature, which lets me include attachments and import items from previous months. However, I struggle with manually syncing it with Gusto.

Xero’s invoicing functionality and reconciliation tools are the most helpful features and I like that it handles heavy data loads and complex inventory very well. Xero’s ability to import transactions from the bank statements allows the generation of detailed reports that give overview of our financials with ease.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

There is not a lot to dislike about Xero, apart from the fact that you have to reconnect to bank accounts every few months.

Xero makes keeping our books up to date and managing company finances easy with all of its features. I like that it provides great tools for accounting and financial management that make it easy to invoice customers, track cash flow, accept payments, and I use it also for financial reporting purposes as well.

It’s easy to use and very user-friendly, even for people who don’t usually use a computer.

-it doesn't automatically add interest to overdue accounts
-I don't like that i can't talk/chat with a person immediately when i need help. I hate that i have to put in a ticket and then wait for an answer. Even if there was a live chat would be SO much better then waiting.

Xero really helps me to help clients setting up their businesses and is helping them to get paid easier and faster from their customers.
I like that I can help them from anywhere and that almost everything is changeable. Much more convenient than others that are locked after you enter things.

I find Xero AMAZING and user-friendly. I love the audit trail feature that tracks changes and the high level of customization it offers. It's great that Xero doesn't push clients to handle things independently, acknowledging the value of partners. The customer service is top-notch, and the webinars are incredibly helpful, making learning easy with follow-along examples. I also really appreciate the Xero help and how easy the software is to use. The migration modules made the initial setup a walk in the park.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

I would love the option to be able to have a bulk GL part of the program where I could easily mass move transactions to different accounts.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero solves constant update hassles. It's user-friendly, has an audit trail, and doesn't push clients to self-manage. I love the webinars and customer service. It's easy to customize and values partners.

Xero is how simple it is, even though it's incredibly powerful. Since it's cloud-based, I can check our financial data from anywhere, which makes working with my team so much smoother. As someone who works with internal audits, I love how transparent everything is and how easy it is to trace entries back to their source. Plus, it integrates really well with our other financial tools, which means fewer manual errors and less headache keeping everything in sync.

Xero, but one downside is that in the US, it still does not connect directly to a payroll system. Thats been a bit frustrating since it means i have to handle payroll separately. It's a fast customizable platform that is easy to use and show clients their data. I love that Xero continues to add new features and update / refresh the look of their platform.
Compared to QBO, it has features that allow you to make changes that QBO restricts. A superior product! We always recommend Xero to all of our clients whether they are just starting out or they have QBO (or another product.) Customer support also is responsive when they are needed (which isn't often.) We use Xero everyday for our clients and I personally use it as a personal budgeting tool. The Gusto integrations are great and the software overall is easy to use for any business.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

The Statement of Cash Flows report feels like it doesn't do the best job in explaining cash flows correctly and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to customize the data going into the report. The mobile apps also needs work. Integrations with banks have been noticeably better, but could use some work keeping a strong connection and connecting to all banks.

We use Xero to do bookkeeping and accounting for our clients. Xero makes it easy to do our jobs. We can also work collaboratively with our clients so that they can use it as an Invoicing tool while we reconcile their books with that data in one place.

An actual human verified me before letting me become a Xero advisor. The support is human, not AI chatbots. It costs less than QBO, and the user interface is cleaner.

Can't make journal entries to bank accounts, can't easily see how previous transactions for a given vendor were categorized, user permissions are not included in advisor access.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They're not Intuit, but they're not a small fish in terms of the bookkeeping market either. So I can still integrate with just about any software that QBO can. I didn't want to build a business with Intuit as a main partner. I trust Xero more.

The auto-reconciling option is a fantastic feature as it means I don't even need to review the matches. Although the setup seemed overwhelming at first, within 10 days, I was completely comfortable navigating the system. I would recommend Xero as a 10 to any business owner.

Its automated transaction reconciliation/classification feature is okay, but could do with improvement. It could be much better at classifying transaction based on previous entries I've done, as data available on the transactions.

The only downside so far is that I wish the support chat feature was available to me.

I am the Treasurer for a very small, not-for-profit society.  Our yearly operating budget is less than $6,000 but we need the ability to track and manage inventory.  Xero is less than half the cost of our previous provider - Quickbooks online. Support has been much more robust as well!

I like that most functions in Xero are straightforward to use. I also appreciate the AI-driven matching and completion for reconciliation, which makes it much easier to manage our transactions since many are effectively the same. Having auto-filled or matched transactions significantly simplifies the process.

The organization of the menus isn't very intuitive. Topics like W9s are hidden and not easy to find, as I only discovered it by accident. Bringing important topics higher up the navigation would be helpful.

I use Xero for categorizing transactions and forecasting cash. The AI-driven matching and completion for reconciliation make handling our repetitive transactions significantly easier.

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I think the user interface of Xero is probably best of breed in the small to medium-sized business landscape. I also like that Xero makes it pretty streamlined and, as a cloud-based tool, it allows us to get real-time information from anywhere, including invoicing, reporting, and bookkeeping transactions. Additionally, Xero made the platform quite easy to learn, and the conversion tool they provide simplifies the setup process.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

I think over the last number of years, the feature deployment has been lacking and has allowed other players to catch up. Xero is still an awesome tool, but I just feel like there could be a more granular feature set that could be deployed.

Xero moves our clients from outdated systems to a robust cloud-based tool, offering real-time data access, invoicing, reporting, and automated bookkeeping from anywhere.

**What do you like best about Xero?**

Xero is very easy to navigate and use. The dashboard is clean, simple, and straightforward, which makes it easy to understand the financial position at a glance. I really appreciate that I can access it from anywhere, and it speeds up tasks like invoicing, bank reconciliation, and reporting.

It also integrates well with other apps like Hubdoc, Joiin, and Syft, which helps reduce manual work and saves time. As Xero Partners, we onboard all our new clients on Xero because it’s easy to implement and user-friendly. It’s our main accounting platform, and we use it frequently across most of our client base.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

Setting up custom reports or handling comlex payroll situations can be trickly sometimes without help. Also, support response times can sometimes be slow when I need urgent assistance.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xero helps solve many accounting and practice management challenges by simplifying and automating key tasks. It makes invoicing, bank reconciliation, payroll, and reporting much faster and more accurate, which saves time and reduces errors. The cloud-based access also allows us to work from anywhere and collaborate with clients in real time.

As an accounting practice, Xero Practice Manager is especially valuable. It helps us track work in progress (WIP), manage jobs, and understand our financial and revenue position clearly. This improves our internal reporting and helps us make better business decisions.

**What do you like best about Xero?**

I find Xero's dashboard very comprehensive and customizable. I can see everything I need to know on one screen, which is very intuitive and useful. With the ability to prioritize and structure the accounts I want to see, I can take a quick glance once per day and know in less than a minute where we are from a financial standpoint. The initial setup of Xero was very easy, and if something wasn't clear, there are instructional videos available on just about every topic.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

The interface with Bill.com is a bit clunky, and when there are support issues in regards to Bill.com, Xero is forced to be the go-between, which slows the process.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xero for paying and generating invoices, tracking expenses, managing inventory, and storing business contacts. It helps in tracking expenses to specific properties and knowing inventory values. The dashboard is intuitive, customizable, and lets me see financial status quickly.

What I appreciate most about Xero is its ability to combine robust features with straightforward usability. The interface is clean and intuitive, making it one of the most approachable accounting platforms, particularly for those without an accounting background. Real-time bank feeds and automatic reconciliation significantly cut down on manual work and help minimize errors. Xero’s strong ecosystem stands out as well—the app marketplace integrates seamlessly with tools for payroll, inventory, payments, CRM, and reporting. Collaboration is smooth, allowing multiple users such as accountants, bookkeepers, and business owners to work together simultaneously without any hassle. The reporting features provide clear visibility, with cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets all easy to find and interpret. Being cloud-based means you can access your work from anywhere, and updates are applied without any disruption.

**What do you dislike about Xero?**

There are a few aspects of Xero that I find less appealing, despite it being a robust platform overall. The inventory management features are quite limited—while they work for straightforward products, they fall short for businesses dealing with complex stock, assemblies, or detailed cost tracking. Customizing reports can also be a challenge; although the reporting tools are powerful once you get the hang of them, creating truly personalized reports isn’t very intuitive. Payroll functionality varies by region—while it performs well in some countries, in others it’s quite basic or requires the use of third-party applications. I’ve also noticed that pricing can escalate quickly, especially as your needs change or you start depending on paid integrations. Some manual work is still necessary, as bank rules and reconciliations aren’t as automated as I’d like. Lastly, the support model could be improved; there’s no phone support, so you have to rely on tickets and help articles, which can be slow when you need urgent assistance.

**What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Traditional bookkeeping often feels outdated and requires a lot of manual work. This software automates tasks like bank feeds, reconciliations, and invoicing, which helps keep the books up to date without the need for constant data entry. One major issue with older systems is the lack of financial visibility, but here, you get real-time access to cash flow, profit, and liabilities, so there are no more unexpected surprises at the end of the month. Collaboration between business owners and accountants can also be a challenge, but this platform allows multiple users to work together in the same system at the same time, with clear audit trails for accountability. Another common problem is having disconnected business tools, but this solution integrates accounting with payroll, payments, inventory, and reporting, ensuring that data moves seamlessly between them. Finally, for those who feel intimidated or confused by accounting, the use of plain language and a clean user interface makes it much more approachable for people without a financial background.
