**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

Upland Customer Support is outstanding.  They are very detailed and thorough when sending instructions on either how to do something in the tool or how to fix an issue.  Their response time is very good as well.  I am also pleased with the Online Help tool and Upland Community.  If I have a simple question, I always look there first to see if someone else has had a similar issue and can usually find an answer.  If that doesn't work, a quick email to Customer Support and I have an answer.
Their development team is always upgrading and updating the system to increase ease of use and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

The only negative I can think of right now is the invoice template.  I would like to make a few minor changes but it isn't a big enough hurdle that I can't work around it on invoicing days.

**What problems is Upland PSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time and expense processes are much improved from what we were using before.  Invoicing itself is so much easier - rather than having to create invoices in our accounting software, Upland PSA pulls everything in automatically and invoicing is done in record time.  It is also more accurate and compiling invoice packets with expense reports and time reports is quick and efficient.
Our Operations team is also able to monitor resource hours and projects more efficiently.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

The heat map in the Resource scheduling module is very flexible and makes it easy to see at a glance who has availability and who doesn't.  The custom reporting tool and the ability to export reports to Excel is also very nice.  The Project Planner, while sometimes a bit tricky to use, it has all of the features you would expect to find in a robust project management tool like MS Project for building work breakdown structures.  The ability to add user defined fields to our screens, flexible security roles, and the ability to create custom workflows has been very beneficial.  Finally, the support has been excellent; they are very responsive and very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

Because the system has a lot of features and covers a lot of functionality, it can be somewhat complex with a fairly steep learning curve.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

Upland PSA is highly configurable with a price point that made it easy for our organization to move from manual processes to comprensive project management platform.   

Their customer support is excellent which is hard to find these days and its been refreshing to work with an organization that isn't always trying to find ways to invoice us more.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

One of the main challenges we've had is the system is developed to work for organizations who charge time and materials to clients.  We charge fixed rate fees to clients which has prevented us from using the platform to its fullest.

Their Analytics module for reporting can be difficult to use and I find their documentation is lacking.  They do provide one on one training but it is quite costly so we've developed our comprehensive reporting outside the platform.

Upland is assisting us in both project and resource profitabilty reporting.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

The tool is good for small businesses, in our case on the service side. We are using mainly the time reporting and the invoicing function. We are still learning its additional capabilities and features., and seems there are, that can be useful.
This is our main tool for several years now.
The customer support is excelent and very responsive, Replied back with a solution promptly.

I feel the report tool is not always straight forward when creating various reports.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

Customer Support is very responsive! I submit tickets frequently and I also get a quick reponse back. 

Also, we use Upland PSA for professional services invoices. There is a diversity of invoicing structures in our portfolio of contracts and Upland PSA has been able to accomdate them all.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

Analytics is not the greatest. It can sometimes be challenging to find the correct data source that has all the data points you want to capture in a report. And also, sometimes, the data the analytics reports show can be wonky; and it requires creating custom fields to show the data correctly.

**What problems is Upland PSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A recent relase simplified the invoicing process. Much fewer clicks required which saves time!

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

We've been able to customize our timesheets for detailed attributes and regional variations. The tech support is responsive and great to work with to identify and resolve any problems we have, which isn't often. They're also great for helping to walk us through new processes we aren't familiar with. Over a dozen enhancement requests have been implemented.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

Analytic reporting was poor for a while, though its been improved recently.

We use timesheets and its helpful being able to track time and import to our general ledger application.

One of the best feature about Upland PSA is its user friendly interface and option to add various levels of access / authorisation / hierarchy.

Invoicing module could be improved, to enable changes at creation level itself. However, such issue has been resolved to a certain extent through recent update

Upland PSA is setup in a way that works well for companies in the AE&C service categories, allowing for many ways to manage Clients, POs, Billing Classifications, Projects, Timekeeping, and Expenses, with the end result of an easier way to populate Invoices. The have unlimited customer support via email, and options to customize the system to your model.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

Certain areas of the interface of Upland could use updating, but I'd rather the system work than it look pretty.

It streamlines the entire contract to invoice process, allowing your team to focus their time on other areas.

Flexibility and ease of use. The platform is easy to navigate and easy to customize based on business needs.

The inconsistent functionality of the platform. Certain features do not work as expected or are prone to errors and glitches. Upland PSA is sometimes pretty slow and laggy when loading reports. The popup information windows of reports when going to choose a report, sometimes get in the way and you cant get rid of them.

Upland PSA  is being used to keep track of billable and non-billable hours and expenses against projects.

Flexibility and ease of use. Customer Service is excellent.

Very mouse driven. Many of the data points would be faster and easier if you were able to simply enter the data as opposed to clicking through menus.

Reporting could be made better. They've made some strides in this area.  Having connectors for POWERBI would be most helpful.

When some rules are created (calendars, for example), you cannot see the criteria that was entered when it was set up (after it's been saved) and you can't copy existing records to create a similar record.

the feature that I like the best is that this application is very easy to use and we can track down the financials of each and every [rpject very easily and in one centralized location

the feature that I dislike about this application is the reporting. for a new user, it's really hard to extract the report as per his/her requirement and site-based onsite activities can not be tracked.

My recommendation to others consideration upland PSA would be that they should consider this tool only if they really want to track and align their financial ledger, it will help you with your forecasts, and as well as you will be able to track the actual cost that occurred in the project. another very useful feature of this tool is you can easily do project management and almost all the tasks related to project management like resource management. as I am the project manager myself so as per my experience I will strongly recommend this tool to all the PM. mostly it will help you with reporting internally or if any information related to billing is required by the customer you can easily extract the reports and provide that to the customer.

upland PSA helps me solve all my problems related to the project financials I can easily forecast my projects and then easily bill them and it really help me in reporting to my managment.

I really like how Upland PSA is the complete package for a project manager as myself. It has everything in it from project tracking to invoicing and billing. Overall it is an amazing tool for project management.

The thing I dislike about Upland PSA is that it is quite laggy at times. There could be further improvements to Upland PSA like improving the response time and user interface of Upland PSA.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland PSA:**

Upland PSA is a fantastic software that makes the life of a project manager like me so easy. With Upland PSA, you can set up projects from the first day and forecast the whole project till the end date of the project. You can also create milestones for each project for billing purposes and then invoice them using Upland PSA. Upland PSA also has a reporting feature through which you can easily look into the financials of each project and diagnose problems with the projects way before time. Upland PSA also supports time entries so you can input your time against each project you worked on by creating tasks against those projects. Overall Upland PSA is a great software and I would definitely recommend it to other project managers out there who want to automate their daily project management processes.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

The features I like best about Upland PSA is that it can generate project financial reports exported or integrated with other applications along with report tracking and creating customized reports as per requirements.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

The feature I dislike about Upland PSA is that on heavy projects where financials are being entered and tracked heavily takes more time to refresh; apart from that Upland cannot have multiple currencies entered for a single project.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland PSA:**

My recommendation for others looking to convert or manage their projects or programs, or portfolios is that Upland PSA can serve as one centralized source for maintaining your financials. Upland PSA can be utilized as your project document repository with having the feature for attachments and links. Upland is not limited to any financial account for maintaining and aligning heavy financials, although Upland PSA may restrict your use of currencies for a single project. Global projects can be hard to execute if multiple currencies are used for billing, as conversions from one currency to the other are not supported on this platform. Upland PSA can be integrated with other applications/software.  Client contact information and user information can be stored and linked to your project, which may be helpful if there are multiple service addresses. I would recommend this software as I have been using this for more than three years, and I have not felt the need to move to an alternate as this software has all the required features.

Upland PSA has helped us resolve major financial issues as in forecasting for cost vs. revenue, analysis for cost vs. revenue. Reports and analysis for my project financials.

Resource Management is now streamlined to eliminate so many emails, meetings, excel sheets, .... and because we are global this cloud tool eliminates the early or late calls to coordinate. & the mobile app for expense management (sales team loves it)

The platform offers a ton of configurations, however they won't allow custom mods for only you. You can enter your inputs into their backlog and they may prioritize them into a release, but there is no option to pay for it if they disagree with you on the value add. Luckily the one key mod we asked for is now in consideration.

As a global org we used different systems or processes in different regions for time, expense, leave and resource management. This streamlines into a single system and eliminates a ton of "old" ways and saves so much time.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

My organization has been working with Upland PSA for more than 6 years.   We have found that the Tenrox cloud application meets all of our global business requirements - including multi-currency, multi-org, and complex billing rules.  No matter what business scenario we have needed to manage with the Tenrox software, we have been able to configure the application to meet our needs.    

I will also add that Tenrox has a terrific support organization.  Working with many different cloud software vendors through the years, the Tenrox team has really impressed me with their responsiveness,  product knowledge, and customer service focus.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

In the past, I would have mentioned out of the box reporting but Upland released their analytics platform a few years ago after listening to customer feedback and resolved this gap.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland PSA:**

Organizations looking for a cost effective fully functional PSA solution, should add Tenrox to their short list.

**What problems is Upland PSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We purchased the software to meet our PSA requirements.  We implemented the software very quickly and easily integrated it to our tier 1  ERP financial software.  We use Tenrox for time and expense management, project administration, absence management, billing and invoicing, project P&L reporting, and resource management.   We have been able to get rid of all excel spreadsheets that were used for resource scheduling, skills tracking, and contractor payments.

Our organization has realized tremendous benefits in automation.  We have also streamlined our billing, invoice and payment processes.  We can close our month in a matter of hours vs what used to take several days.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

Due to acquisition each business group in my company used a different PSA application, therefore consolidating reports and controlling budget was a big challenge. Uplan PSA helped us to deploy a standard workflow for more 15 Business units including 500 PS users across the world.

The PS globalization helps us to have perfect global controlling reports for top level management at any time.

Customization is limited because Upland PSA it's SAAS application.

Resource management, utilization, and reporting  are the biggest benefit of using Upland PSA.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

It is good and easy to use, of course with experience in other similar software, it is much simpler, it is very flexible in project management and modifying filters and the menu is great, and its integration is good, it is a very intuitive tool and I like it because it is very functional.

Sometimes it is usually complicated in the user configuration, I could also say that the interface is good, but I think it is still improving and it lacks a little more, since it is usually somewhat slow at times, but it does not bother at all.

If you are considering it, you should give it a try and seeing it with your own eyes offers many benefits, I really recommend it to everyone.

For now it has been a great experience, now we save time, in time reports, follow-ups and different types of tasks, it helps a lot and we can analyze the costs of future projects, Tenrox is good for project management and we support this type of tools usually be very helpful at work.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

It's easy to enter your values,  auto-save, and auto-edit if you wanted. You can customize your view of your needs.
It never crashed when I used it.  You can apply multiple modules in the same account. You can set up automated notifications, and will work flawlessly. Delivers knowledge into the hands of your employees gives them the information they need to encourage collaboration, keeps projects on track for on-time, on-budget delivery with the highest quality while ensuring resources and projects are aligned with corporate governance requirements.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

I think the security on it might be too strong on it (not sure if it's my organization request), if I  logged in and done a certain action closed the tab, in order to return to PSA again after a short while, the session will expire and I will need to log in again. I believe it should allow me to reopen the tab if I'm the same user on the same browser.

I used to logging working hours and tracking leaves and off days. Also, Scheduling and public holidays tracking. Also, have automated notifications. Very quick to receive approval and rejection and a place to find the comments on rejection or approval. Create a feedback loop to engage, capture, process, present, and act on customer and employee sentiment to drive meaningful change for greater project success.

Lives up to our expectations of an easy-to-use, integrated platform for managing our operations.  We have been very pleased with the professionalism and knowledge of the staff, from the initial sale, to the assistance provided to deploy the platform, as well as the ongoing customer service and support.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

Even with all the reminders, there seems to be someone who does not submit their T&E.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland PSA:**

We have been happy with our decision to incrementally deploy different modules, starting with T&E, adding invoicing (with Quickbooks integration), and later adding resource and project management.

**What problems is Upland PSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining and managing our invoice processes.  We had good processes before, but as we have added more participants to the process, and different approvals, Upland has helped us make sure things don't fall through the cracks.  It has also helped raise compliance  of our staff submitting T&E on a timely basis.   T&E and invoicing go hand-in-hand, so now that we have the ability to do multiple levels of approvals our invoicing accuracy has improved. The mobile app has especially helped our T&E submission compliance.

Upland PSA increases efficiency in service delivery organizations by structuring and building a solid project management foundation, from pre-sales to customer invoicing, and ensuring that all billable work is captured which brings predictability to professional services.

Because we had a large portfolio of projects with ongoing projects, the massive upload of project information into the tool required some extra development by their professional services professional.

Upland PSA is a service that I use in the company in order to improve the capabilities and automation of services or software, with the aim of increasing sales, customer service and problems in the company, improving capabilities and giving effective responses and thus improving the work performance within the company to be able to provide solutions and increase profits, happy that it worked very well is a very suitable system to automate and useful tools.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

I do not have any type of problem with my service, however I would like to improve the performance of your website to avoid loss of servers, it has caused problems when starting the session.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland PSA:**

I recommend it because the useful easy tools worked very well without the need for third party help or support, without prior knowledge since it is an intuitive system and I love it. I recommend it.

I am very happy with the system, it provided an impeccable solution to the main problem, reducing blockages due to so much accumulated information from employees, consumers, the company, finances, and the reason why Upland PSA was implemented. The analysis and automation of the entire company service was Notorious, it was favorable for me and the company, now the areas are much more active and the responses are favorable both to consumers and internally.

I like the ability to keep track of multiple projects and tasks in a simple manner. Managing Timesheets, Leaver Requests, different tasks etc.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

Sometimes the email notifications sent to complete a timesheet or to approve Leaver requests lead to a specific link that only views the item. instead the normal Timesheet/Leave request page if I navigated to it normally.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland PSA:**

I think it's pretty efficient and helpful. It gives you both a glance at your projects as a whole with pretty cool dashboards that summarize everything you need. It also gives you a good in-depth view if you want to drill down into specific metrics. The reporting is very easy and can be very flexible and customizable.

Keeping track of idle time and leaves.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

Upland PSA is a great product that does a really good job at linking timesheet and financial software to project management software.  A lot of PSA solutions out there pretend to be financially focused but this one actually is.  This software provides a high degree of integration, customization and segregation of duties required by larger organizations.  Support in the last few years has been quick and responsive.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

the UI isn't keeping up with the industry and is dated causing a long load times and necessary clicks.  We would really appreciate the Projects side of the software to be able to tell more of the story as to what is happening on the project and be able to share those updates with people working on the project.

**What problems is Upland PSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software has allowed our finance and project management teams to work more closely and argue less about who's numbers are right.  This has allowed us to become more efficient and save us time and money.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

The system is very flexible. I can change names of fields to  more suit our organization. i.e. Personal time instead of sick leave. I can set things to work the way I want them to work. It is an excellent fit for a service organization. I have also became quite fond of the new reporting system Upland Analytics. It is great improvement to Tenrox reporting capabilities. 

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

The hidden operations, In order to implement you have to complete all the steps and sometimes the final step is hidden. For example setting up PO operation.

**Recommendations to others considering Upland PSA:**

You have to like to think. It requires you to be a thinker and take notes. Once you get it you will love it. It is truly a top notch product for GAAP and DCAA reporting

Our organization can go from 50 to 500 people and we would need no additional help in accounting. The upland analytical reporting tool provide endless reporting capabilities. The case submittal and customer service is state of the art. You really have to appreciate what they do and how they do it.

**What do you like best about Upland PSA?**

Professional Services apps I've seen never work exactly the way you do. The best you can hope for is one that is flexible enough to bend to your process, collect enough data for proper reporting, and is from a company that offers outstanding support. Upland PSA  does that, and has become one of the more important tools in running our business.  Our end-users are having an easy time entering time and expense. Our Accounting department billing process is smooth. Our project managers have lots of information coming to them.

**What do you dislike about Upland PSA?**

Upside and Downside are both the same. There are so many tables and views, sometimes it's hard to find the data we're looking for when creating reports. And I think it's because the application has gone through many changes, there appear to be 'legacy' tables and views still lying around.

Due to the myriad of information we are collecting, we are able to report on project profitability, consultant utilization, forecasting, even time off.

Very good and easy to use, the best thing that it can be integrated with any software through Boomi. Project, Resource, time and financial are easy to update and manage by minimum training. Tracking is very easy and through reports you can get a top level information what exactly happening on project or time or cost or finance.

Constant update and interface of application, many time users complain about these issues. When number of project or users grow i feel it getting slow. Too much integration some time make life difficult. Support team take time for solution if it is not paid.

If you are mid size organization and looking to solve your project management issue then i will recommend, Tenrox PSA

I like it because it meets its goals, it has excellent support, it's a pretty solid tool, it's easy to upload receipts, manage projects, help organize tasks and a lot, it also shows how long I've been on tasks and do deep monitoring.

It is not bad because so far we have not experienced any serious inconvenience, but on the other hand, I think that it is somewhat limited in the products and information section, I need it to be more complete and offer much more.

When i started using Tenrox PSA from Upland, i was skeptical but soon i realize how efficient and well structured is this. Managing project is very easy, whether it is Time management, finance or invoicing all very well integrated. Best thing which i like about it is customization level and integration with other software i.e. CRM, Saleforce , AX  etc. Reporting and Dash board preparation is very well structured. Overall it is a good package. No prior knowledge required to use it.

Doing customization take time, we can not do all the changes at our end.   

**Recommendations to others considering Upland PSA:**

If you are looking for long term benefit and want to automate your project management services to better align with business need then i think this one of the best available PSA in the market. Support people are good and Tenrox  take care of their customer very well. I will recommend this product.

We are trying to automate our process so that it work more efficiently. We want our system to produce best result in time bounded manner. This site is very outdated and just does whatever it wants when you are attempting to add projects, bill clients, or do anything!

I dislike mostly everything about this system as it is very difficult to work with. The system is very slow and tends to freeze very frequently. Pages take forever to load.

I would say do not proceed with purchasing this software.

It is slow, it will just delete stuff on it's own, not save, the list goes on and on. We will be switching to a new platform.

Mobile application. Thanks to this, employees have no reason not to be up to date both in entering their timesheets and their expense reports, which speeds up and facilitates client billing. The configuration of the different parameters of each project is quite easy.

Limited invoice template not allowing the transfer of hours into days (same for the rate) on invoices (required by several clients). Names given to billing milestones also do not appear by default on invoices, resulting in a lot of manual adjustments.

In my role, I am not a power user or an admin for the system, but my job is to keep it running from an I.T. perspective.  I appreciate the knowledge and assistance of the folks at Tenrox in helping us with new projects and issues we encounter.

Parts of the application interface feel somewhat dated.

**What problems is Upland PSA solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For me specifically, it is replicating the system data to our onsite SQL database for reporting.  This has allowed us to extend the system as needed.  The API integration for our custom systems is also fairly robust and I've gotten great help from Tenrox support on it when needed.
