I like the simple and easy way to search files with the help of UltraSearch. I love the fact that it supports all tags in the search bar. Sometimes I only remember fragments of the file name but it still manages to find the right file. I have stored a lot of music on my hard drive and I use UltraSearch to get my hands on a particular track in no time. I was using the Windows default search option for quite some time but it started giving me trouble, so I switched to UltraSearch. I'm happy that I found it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It does not support searching folders on the network. If I put something in the search bar that is out of UltraSearch's scope, it will freeze the window and won't function until the application is restarted. Another missing feature is the playback option. I have to drag the file from search results to a separate player to check if I found the right item. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the quick results and the fast speed of Ultra Search to find the items on my computer. I particularly use it to search the music that I have saved in different folders on my computer. Ultra Search lives up to its name in the real sense as it does an excellent job. It allows searching files with the help of different tags. The older versions have difficulty doing the network search. If you try to find something on a network folder, it will just freeze the window and won't produce any results. It happened to me a couple of times and it made me pull my hair and run my head into the wall. Nonetheless, I solved the problem by updating to the latest version that works well with the network search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

3. It searches the file contents perfectly unlike some free/open source tools which advertise doing the same but in reality cannot.
