Trolley has a user-friendly interface that's easy to navigate. It simplifies global payouts and provides payment tracker, making it easier to track transfers and support recipients. Additionally, foreign exchange rates are often higher than expected, and there is limited payment status visibility—notifications are only sent for returned payments, while successful payments do not generate an automatic notification. Trolley enables us to pay recipients located outside the US in USD, provided they have a USD-denominated bank account. This flexibility helps us accommodate our clients' preferred payout currency and simplifies cross-border payments. Additionally, when a recipient does not receive their funds within the estimated delivery timeframe, Trolley can provide a payment trace ID upon request. While obtaining the trace ID typically takes a couple of days, it helps us investigate the payment status and provide recipients with greater visibility into their transfer. Issuing payments via Trolley is very easy, and tracking those payments is just as straightforward. The ability to export payment information for analysis is key for us, and the user interface is simple and easy to navigate. Trolley also makes it easy to capture and track recipient W9 forms. Issuing annual 1099s is extremely easy as well, and it’s one of my favorite features of Trolley. Overall, I’ve been very happy with Trolley’s pay and tax capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Trolley? Our account rep was eliminated at the end of 2025 and has not been replaced. Since then, we’ve seen a noticeable decline in the level of customer service provided by Trolley’s team. The online chatbots are extremely basic, and once we’re referred to their live support desk, it can take 1–2 days (and occasionally longer) to receive an answer. The support we receive now is frustrating, at best. If Trolley’s plan is to replace most account reps with an AI bot, they need to invest much more in training it so it’s actually helpful. While the payment and tax functionality remains great, the level of service we’ve received this year has been highly frustrating. We also recently added two submerchant accounts, and the compliance process was painful and onerous, at best. I don't understand what their endgame is by providing decreased levels of service to existing customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Trolley’s tax reporting function has been a game changer for my company, it's been integral in allowing us to avoid fees from the federal government for incomplete tax reporting. What do you dislike about Trolley? The customer service is slow. It can take days to get a problem resolved which does not work well with our recipients where payments are concerned. When i click the help bubble, a chat bot is readily available to provide a faq sheet with answers to specific questions. What problems is Trolley solving and how is that benefiting you? Trolley is doing an excellent job with tax reporting. Trolley verifying whether the recipient's SSN/TIN is very helpful when it comes to submitting the tax forms to the IRS. Also submitting to the IRS on our behalf while offering downloadable 1099 forms is great. I appreciate Trolley for its speed in sending payments to many people across multiple countries. It really makes getting money to people around the globe a simple process. What do you dislike about Trolley? I think it's the data checks, those could be done prior to the payments itself to avoid delays to the recipients.
