What customer support options does TriNet PEO provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

TriNet PEO provides 24/7 live-rep support, along with chat and phone support. The experience can be responsive and helpful, particularly for straightforward questions, while complex issues may take longer or involve follow-up and routing between teams.

What is the experience like for teams switching to TriNet PEO from another tool?

Switching to TriNet PEO is often about bringing scattered HR, payroll, and benefits services together, or finding broader benefits, support, or functionality than a previous system provided. The experience is described as smoother when setup and guidance are clear, though the transition can involve a learning curve.
  • Consolidation: Replacing separate tools or providers with a more centralized set of HR services.
  • Broader coverage: Seeking more complete benefits, HR support, or payroll functionality.
  • Cost and fit: Moving for pricing or to better support the organization’s needs as it grows.

  • Improve time and PTO tools: Make balances, accruals, approvals, and team calendars easier to understand and manage.
  • Expand mobile functionality: Bring more of the desktop experience into the mobile app and streamline time entry.
  • Strengthen reporting and customization: Provide more flexible reports and dashboards suited to each team’s needs.

Is TriNet PEO considered safe and secure for handling data?

Account security comes up most often in connection with repeated identity checks at sign-in. Some users appreciate the added verification, while others find having to complete it so frequently inconvenient; that experience alone does not establish how securely other data is handled.

"Effortless Payroll Management with Minor Login Hassles"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I love TriNet's ease of navigation, which is probably my favorite thing about it. It's really easy for me to jump in at any point, manage my pay, paycheck, get my stubs, and coordinate my time off requests. The navigation and general user interface are simple, clean, and extremely functional. I've used other systems before, and TriNet is by far the easiest, cleanest, and most intuitive setup. I also find the time off requesting portion super simple and easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I understand the need for security logins, but it feels like I'm logging in for the first time every time. Even though I check the option to be remembered, it doesn't seem to work. This process is cumbersome, but I appreciate the security. I also hate how messages are pushed to my inbox and I have to open them individually in order to clear and/delete them. "User-Friendly, Seamless, and Stable Benefits Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I appreciate that it is user friendly in general. The benefits make sense, and everything easily connects to each other. They try to make it as seamless as possible. It feels like a stable benefits holder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

In general- the healthcare plans are shockingly expensive. As someone who has previously used marketplace insurance, it almost made more sense for me to choose a marketplace plan and choose a stipend because the premium is raised by so much. Unfortunately, the stipend is 1/3 of what this insurance is worth. Further- the milestones and goals are clunky for smaller organizations. I wish there were some more customization to support smaller organizations to make things simpler. Finally, using it to review resumes for the hiring process is not intuitive, and cumbersome. "All-in-One HR Made Easy with a User-Friendly Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I use TriNet PEO to manage payroll, employee benefits, and HR admin. It brings payroll, benefits, and HR services together in one platform, which saves me time, simplifies routine administrative tasks, and makes managing my information more convenient. I value the payroll processing, benefits information, and HR compliance tools because they reduce paperwork and help me stay organized with my records and compliance requirements. I also appreciate having access to HR support and resources, and being able to focus more on running and growing instead of handling administrative tasks. Getting started was very easy, the platform was pretty self-explanatory, and the interface is very user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

No complaints from me. TriNet PEO is great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Trinet Streamlines Time Tracking and Payroll Processing"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

Time & Attendance platform makes it easier to track hourly employees and the seamless upload to the payroll platform cuts down on my hours of processing payroll. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

We have experienced issues with how Trinet calculates hourly rate for salaried employees. Instead of taking an annualized hourly rate (salary divided by 2080) they calculate by dividing salary by days in the payroll. That calculation only works if you are on a bi-weekly or once a month payroll cycle. We pay semi-monthly, so there are variances in how many days are in each payroll cycle. This impacts the hourly rate and makes it a variable rate as well, which means that PTO hours are valued differently depending on which payroll cycle they land in. "Streamlined Clocking with User-Friendly Interface"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I really appreciate TriNet for making it real easy to punch out and do all my professional administration work. I like the punch out feature and clocking in. The user interface is very easy, which I find helpful when clocking in and out, and going to lunch. I also enjoy the calendar feature that shares the paydays, pay periods, and holidays for my company. It helps me know what day is a payday by simply checking the time tab, where it's right there for me. The initial setup was very easy, and I got it on the first try. Plus, TriNet saw the problem of me having to log in on multiple different apps and is a platform where it's all in one, all inclusive, so I don't have to use multiple platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I wish that they offered early wage access, so you can possibly access your wages early. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ashley Dyslin of TriNet PEO

We love making it easy to manage your time and administrative tasks all in one place, Robert! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.

"All My Benefits, 401k, Time Off, and Pay Info in One Convenient Place"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I do love having access to my health benefits, 401k, time off requests, and salary information all in one program. It saves me time each instance that I'm trying to access one of these tools. Having these features all integrated into one program also saves me from having to remember a separate password for each. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

i feel like the benefits side by side comparison is overwhelming and doesn't provide enough support in helping to choose the appropriate health benefits. I feel like benefits enrollment should provide a survey that once answered by employees, provides the best benefit suggestions for each employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"TriNet Makes Timesheets, Payroll, and Benefits Management Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I’ve had a great experience using TriNet. The platform is very user-friendly and easy to navigate, especially when it comes to managing timesheets and accessing employee information. Everything is organized clearly, making it simple to find exactly what I need without wasting time searching through multiple pages. Submitting and reviewing timesheets is quick and straightforward, and I appreciate how accessible important employee details, payroll information, and HR resources are within the system. The layout feels intuitive, even for users who may not be very tech-savvy. One of the standout features of TriNet is the excellent benefits and perks it offers. From healthcare options to employee support resources, the platform provides valuable tools that make managing work and personal benefits much easier. Overall, TriNet delivers a smooth, efficient, and reliable experience that helps simplify day-to-day HR and employee management tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I honestly can't think of anything I dislike about it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ashley Dyslin of TriNet PEO

Thanks for sharing how easy it is to use our platform, Rose! We love making it reliable and easy to find what you need, and offering added perks for our clients and their employees.

"Easy-to-Navigate Portal with Exceptionally Helpful Live Chat"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

TriNet is fairly easy to navigate throughout the portal. The live chat feature is especially helpful, both for finding my way around the platform and for getting guidance on specific HR, Benefits, and Payroll questions. We aren’t currently using the Performance Review feature yet, but we plan to look into it for 2027/2028. The integrations between ATS and background screenings are also a great tool with single sign on feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

Within the ATS platform I kept running into issues navigating the workflows and email templates. Job postings weren't getting visibility on the other platforms and when inquiring with customer advocate it didn't seem to help resolve the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Management with Some Approval Hassles"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I really like that everything with TriNet PEO lives in one place. It's great to have my insurance, work hours, and pay statements all accessible in one location. It definitely makes it easier for me to know and trust that whatever I need is there, whether it's details about my insurance benefits, what’s covered, my pay statements, or the hours I've worked. The convenience of having everything consolidated in one place is a big plus. Also, the initial setup was pretty easy and self-explanatory, which I appreciated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I find it annoying that I have to get my hours adjusted and approved. The process makes sense, but it's a bit of a hassle for me. I also wish there was an email notification for when I make adjustments or modifications, so I could be sure it was done right and remember if I did it at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
