What company sizes and industries is TriNet PEO the best fit for?

What customer support options does TriNet PEO provide, and how do users find the overall support experience?

TriNet PEO provides 24/7 live-rep support, along with chat and phone support. The experience can be responsive and helpful, particularly for straightforward questions, while complex issues may take longer or involve follow-up and routing between teams.

What is the experience like for teams switching to TriNet PEO from another tool?

Switching to TriNet PEO is often about bringing scattered HR, payroll, and benefits services together, or finding broader benefits, support, or functionality than a previous system provided. The experience is described as smoother when setup and guidance are clear, though the transition can involve a learning curve.
  • Consolidation: Replacing separate tools or providers with a more centralized set of HR services.
  • Broader coverage: Seeking more complete benefits, HR support, or payroll functionality.
  • Cost and fit: Moving for pricing or to better support the organization’s needs as it grows.

What features or capabilities could make TriNet PEO even more useful?

The clearest opportunities to make TriNet PEO more useful are smoother navigation and more consistent workflows across the platform. Teams also want clearer time-off information and a more capable mobile experience.
  • Simplify navigation: Make frequently used tasks easier to find and reduce extra clicks or jumps to separate sites.
  • Improve time and PTO tools: Make balances, accruals, approvals, and team calendars easier to understand and manage.
  • Expand mobile functionality: Bring more of the desktop experience into the mobile app and streamline time entry.
  • Strengthen reporting and customization: Provide more flexible reports and dashboards suited to each team’s needs.

Is TriNet PEO considered safe and secure for handling data?

Account security comes up most often in connection with repeated identity checks at sign-in. Some users appreciate the added verification, while others find having to complete it so frequently inconvenient; that experience alone does not establish how securely other data is handled.

"Clean, Simple Trinet Experience for PTO, Projections, and Plan Comparisons"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I appreciate the clean interface, easy-to-navigate layout, and overall simplicity of the website. It's also very easy to do all my mandatory things like submitting OOO and PTO, and I like the accrual projection function because it allows me to plan my travel plans a year in advance. During open enrollment, I also like the way Trinet allows for easy comparison and contrast of each and every plan options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

My only gripe about Trinet is during open enrollment, it's really difficult to find the brochure that details the plan package. I think some of the plans either didn't have one at all, or it was too confusing to find. Maybe add a specific area to review all the plan packages in one, and also have it accessible year-round so that people can begin thinking about the following enrollment. Their user interface is easy to navigate and use. The customer service is excellent (Ashley Carducci is our rep). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I find the reporting to be cumbersome and hard to use, however our service rep is always willing to help me build a new report if I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"New Layout is Much Better"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

Since the layout changed earlier this year, it makes a lot more sense, and is easier to find what I need. Also, everything is more logical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

Interface is still a bit date looking. Site can be slow to load, and there's not a password free way of logging in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use HR Platform with Great Support, Strong ROI, and Helpful AI Features"
4.5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

The platform is really easy to use and navigate. It offers lots of HR-rich features that our staff enjoy like benefits, Trinet perks, The employee assistance program through AllOne Health, and the reimbursement intergration. I was able to connect TriNet to Quickbooks for faster and more accurate reporting. The price is very competitive and has provided a high ROI for our business which is important as a Non-profit. The customer service has been excellet. The entire Trinet team is very responsive, professional and helpful with any questions I have. They also added new AI features recently which has been great for our staff to ask questions and get answers quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I am not a huge fan of the reporting section and wish they would make it easier to create custom reports. They did offer to walk me through this section more and get more training, I just don't find the interface very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Use Desktop and Mobile Experience"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

As an employee, easy interface and use compared to many other softwares I've used in the past in prior jobs. Both the desktop and mobile apps are easy to use overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

A few quirks like the TriNet Perform screen doesn't log in properly if you go to the URL directly, you need to login from your regular TriNet account, an extra step. Sometimes too frequent of auto-sign offs. TriNet Perform and goals are clunky. Setting a "team" goal is difficult, not well sorted/filter functions. Need expanded functionality for the company to better set up benefits and policies like for rollover hours, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless HR Management with Seamless Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I find it really convenient that everything is in one spot with TriNet. It's easy to look up insurance, pay, and take time off without having to go through a bunch of confusing menus. The user interface is really nice, making it easy to find the things I want. I also like the health insurance selection process during open enrollment because the whole flow is very nice and smooth. It's built into the system, so I don't need to go to some external thing, and it's easy to compare and select insurance. Plus, everything is clearly labeled and easy to get to, making it simple to access what I need regularly without having to reach out to HR. Setting up TriNet was very easy too. What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

I regularly get wellness messages that I don't want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"PTO and Benefits, Conveniently United on One Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I enjoy using TriNet PEO and don’t have any issues with it. I can handle PTO requests and access my medical insurance on one platform, and it’s easy to access. I use it for PTO, my tax form, and my medical benefits. It also helps me with benefit explanations and breakdowns, time-off requests, and my life insurance policy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

At first glance, it can be a bit much, but once you start to explore all it has to offer, it is a great tool/app to have and be a part of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In the home page, I would like more privacy like an option to hide the amounts or see the amounts I get paid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined HR Management with Room for Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

I like the reports and reporting structure of TriNet PEO. It's relatively easy to use, and the pre-programmed or canned reports can be easily adjusted, which helps me do my job in HR quickly and efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

Moving between employee accounts is a bit frustrating because you have to fully exit an employee record and return to the home page to access another account. It would be much more efficient if there was a small search window or option to quickly switch to the next employee record directly from any screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Worst PEO Experience ever, time and again"
0/5
What do you like best about TriNet PEO?

Nothing, not one single thing. Never a person available when you need them. AI isn’t there yet and I’m expected to do business with a machine that can’t answer the most basic question. The app sends you to pages that will not load or crash entirely. Try the website and get run in circles by the AI that cannot answer questions. If I can’t make changes on the fly your service means nothing to me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about TriNet PEO?

Humans work banker’s hours. I work those same hours plus several more. How exactly am I supposed to get in touch with TriNet while I’m at work? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
