**What do you like best about T.M.A.S.?**

I am thrilled by the automation of this system. You can set up reports to run automatically. The onboarding was very helpful-- they took time to learn about what we need, and trained me on how best to use the system to meet our needs. I've already set up a meeting with museum management to present on the system, and think about ways we can deploy this in other locations

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

So far the largest downside is the upfront investment cost. I think it well worth the price, it just means we cannot install the system in as many buildings as we would like at once

**What problems is T.M.A.S. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This system is automatically providing us visitor data for exhibitions, so we can make institutional decisions based on that data. Before, the data collection process was prone to errors and took up a lot of staff time.

**What do you like best about T.M.A.S.?**

We have been very pleased with the T.M.A.S. system and the value it has provided in helping us better understand customer activity at our shelters. The system has given us reliable, objective data on foot traffic, which allows us to move beyond assumptions and make decisions based on actual customer patterns and something we use every day.

The installation process was straightforward. The equipment was easy to mount, and the setup was completed without impacting daily operations. Once installed, the system began collecting data immediately and did not require ongoing adjustment or troubleshooting.

Customer support has been excellent throughout the entire process. From the initial installation to ongoing use, their team has been responsive.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

One area that would further enhance the system would be expanded integration capabilities with external reporting tools. The ability to more seamlessly connect the data to platforms like Power BI would allow us to incorporate foot traffic into our broader operational dashboards and strengthen our overall analytics environment.

**What problems is T.M.A.S. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the most important benefits has been the ability to separate perception from reality. The data has helped us validate operational needs, support planning decisions, and provide leadership with clear, quantifiable metrics. It has also strengthened our ability to evaluate the impact of programs, adoption events, and community outreach efforts by seeing how those activities translate into actual customer visits.

**What do you like best about T.M.A.S.?**

T.M.A.S is very easy to set up, easy to use, and was a breeze to implement.  We had great training buy the customer support team.  

We have two retail stores and use a number of the features to give us real time information about store traffic and historic traffic counts to make sure we have the correct amount of staff at the right time.

The app is very easy to use and gives a tonne of information!

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

We have not found any downsides yet, everything works great.

**What problems is T.M.A.S. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use T.M.A.S. to help us staff our retail stores with the appropriate amount of staff at the right time.  Before we guessed how many staff we needed.  Numbers do not lie.  We have saved $1000's on staffing costs since we installed T.M.A.S.

We now also can use conversion rate, to really figure out how effective our sales team is.

**What do you like best about T.M.A.S.?**

4/15/2026: This is a followup to my original review posted in August of 2025. Since then our devices have stopped working and we could not get any help from TMAS. I have tried to end my subscription and I have received no response.

8/8/2025: We have been using TMAS counters and software for over a year and we find it accurate in its counting of people entering the building.
I like the daily and monthly reports that are emailed to me. They keep me informed of foot traffic including peak times.
I found TMAS to be the most affordable product with the features that I wanted.
TMAS is expandable if I want to add more counters to track foot traffic in specific areas.
Customer support is helpful and easy to reach.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

4/15/2025: Equipment stopped working. No customer service help. Cannot cancel subsciption.

8/8/2025: The software is a little difficult to set up but the customer service providers are very helpful in getting the information you want in the reports. Once the report is set up you don't have to make adjustments.

**What problems is T.M.A.S. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were using a manual counter that the staff had to be vigilant about counting people entering the building. The TMAS counters relieve us of this duty and provide us with an accurate count of people entering the building.

**What do you like best about T.M.A.S.?**

The support. We were required to buy this by a fire marshal so this was a purchase not wanted at all, but needed. 

Mike V. and Sayantani were both wonderful and gave me the best customer experience even under unfortunate circumstances.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

Nothing to dislike. I can imagine that others might think the software is overcomplicated so maybe look into simplifying some categories. For example, it looked like there were 20+ reports but I can't imagine anyone using all of those. Then again, we'll barely even use ours so it is what it is. 

Again, nothing to dislike, just a preference of simplicity from me(which Sayantani helped with by hiding report options that I didn't need).

**What problems is T.M.A.S. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You are solving the 'issue' of a potential max occupant load on an 8th floor of an office building. The fire marshal would not let us open this space without it.

Our job is to build interior office spaces and turn them over on a tight timeline so it is greatly benefitting my job.

the EOL devices such as 3dscope I has no support for calibration but the tech provided steps for updating the firmware though

the tech Mike was awesome. I was about to schedule a calibration for the new counter but the booking site's availability was not until next week. He squeezed his time to assist us today instead of waiting for next week and calibrated the device in less than 10 mins. You're a rockstar Mike!

**What do you like best about T.M.A.S.?**

TMAS has proven to be an acurate and acessable people-counting solution at our 2 venues. The product allows us to track how many people visit our sites, and generate reports to match any time window a user requests. This is useful when working with dates inbetween months, rather than just blocks of predetermined values. Email alarts notifying me when a device is obstructed or low battery ensures that I can quickly address and issues that come up, and maintain clean records.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

too many buttons and features create distractions and cause confution for less "technologically literate" users, leading too frustration. I personally dont have the problem, but others in my space unfortuenly cannot query the data themselves (I would not attribute this fault to the product, but rather the user).

We lacked a relaiable people/visitor counting applicaiton, and TMAS has filled that gap

I mainly use T.M.A.S. for managing access to our nightclub. It's quite helpful for keeping track of the number of patrons. I like the accuracy and the support from the company. The initial setup was very easy.

The team over there are extremely knowledgeable and efficient. I had 5 traffic counter calibrations done in one hour by a very skilled Mike V. over there! The Shopify POS integration is a nice touch.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

The solutions to mount the traffic counters are generic and third party. Our team is pretty handy so we manage but a streamlined telescoping mount would speed things up.

**What problems is T.M.A.S. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The data provided allows us to intelligently allocate labor budget per store. Knowing the foot traffic allows us to schedule more or less staff based on customer demand. Before this solution we didn't have any data so managers scheduled empercially.

**What do you like best about T.M.A.S.?**

This is such a wonderful tool! It allows us to track how many people enter our store, identify the days with the most traffic, and use that information to plan sales and marketing efforts more effectively. It was incredibly easy to set up, and the customer service team has been so helpful and responsive every step of the way. As a result, our thrift store can increase funding, which directly supports our teen center and helps us better serve the local community.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

It would be helpful for the PEARL to keep track of data for a longer amount of time. However, our business has created an Excel doc to make sure we always have these numbers.

**What problems is T.M.A.S. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PEARL helps us keep track of how many people come into our store and which days are the busiest. With that information, we can plan our sales and marketing better to boost revenue for our teen center and community programs.

We consistently receive reliable, accurate data on foot traffic in our store, which means we can calculate our true conversion rate with confidence. With that insight, we’re able to make better-informed decisions about displays, staffing, and other day-to-day operational choices.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

There are many reports included in the subscription package that we don’t have a use for. I’d prefer a simpler subscription option that provides only traffic data. We already have our own way of interpreting that data in relation to our sales.

Knowing exactly how many people walked in our door allows us to accurately calculate our conversion rate and make better decisions.

**What do you like best about T.M.A.S.?**

I'm in a new director position and couldn't figure out why our T.M.A.S. data wasn't showing up. Sayantani not only found out why and helped me fix it, but offered to schedule a time to train me on reports to help meet my goals for our library and use of the software. She has stayed in communication with me through other, self-created issues. She's very patient, helpful, and understanding when helping me work through this learning curve. The software is great for helping me find out peak hours, hours we may need to adjust, most use areas of the library, and scheduling needs. I use the reports every day and highly recommend it.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

I don't like that one of my employees was able to delete two of our devices, but that's my fault because Sayantani asked if I wanted to adjust users' access. I should've deleted all other accounts then.

**What problems is T.M.A.S. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

T.M.A.S. is helping me show the usage of our library. It has helped us adjust our schedule to match the needs of our patrons, justify altering those schedules, and helping me know when I need extra staffing. It has also helped show others how much the library is needed on campus.

**What do you like best about T.M.A.S.?**

We were looking for a traffic counter for our store and found T.M.A.S Traffic Counter, a Canadian company based in Montreal. We were hesitant at first but decided to give them a try.

Product Selection:

We ordered the 3D Scope II camera. Before ordering, we had demo meetings with their sales team. The sales representative was knowledgeable, polite, and answered all our questions. We took a month to decide, and the representative wasn’t pushy at all. In fact, they encouraged us to take our time. They were always available to address our questions and concerns.

Product Installation:

The product arrived quickly via UPS. A tech support person guided us through the installation and configuration process virtually. We had a small issue where the equipment wasn’t connecting properly. They sent a replacement within a week. We installed the new equipment, and it’s been working perfectly for the past 8 months. The tech team followed up after the initial setup. They provided a UPS return label for the faulty equipment, and the return process was hassle-free with no cost to us.

Customer Care:

Soon after installation, their customer care team reached out. A representative set up an initial call and walked us through the setup, app installation, reports, and other features. She helped us set up weekly and monthly reports. A month later, she followed up again and showed us more advanced features. Six months later, she checked in again and offered continued support.

Technical Support:

Three months after installation, we had an overcounting issue. We contacted technical support, got connected within minutes, and the issue was fixed in less than three business days. It was just a minor configuration problem.
We’re really impressed with the whole experience, especially since this was our first time using a traffic counter and dealing with T.M.A.S. The team handled everything virtually with minimal disruption.

Summary: Great product, excellent team, and amazing customer support. We highly recommend T.M.A.S Traffic Counter and will continue to work with them for our business.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

It will be great if they partner with local technicians just in case if someone needs help with installation or configuration. Not everyone is tech savvy so it will be great help for small businesses who doesn't have resources to get these things done.

I like that I can get an accurate count of adults and children with T.M.A.S. It was extremely easy to set up, and our in-store staff managed it without needing outside professional help.

TMAS was easy to install, and the configuration was via a phone meeting. Training was via a video session, which was easy and educational. There is a good library of self-help tools.

The data interface is somewhat cluttered and a little overwhelming.

Powerful software that allows you to monitor store traffic per time period in addition to pulling in all the necessary sales data from Shopify (Sales, items per transaction, average order value, etc.).  Still brand new to it but it will be a powerful tool to help us schedule our staff and keep up with trends to prepare for future strong and weak sales days.

Because of it's power it takes some training to understand but so far I've been impressed with the training I've received and look forward to getting more insight.

Traffic accuracy per time period and how that compares to the sales data.  It's a much better high tech solution that what we had before.

We've been using T.M.A.S. at Akshardham for managing our people counter data, and it's been a game-changer. The software is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to track and analyze visitor flow with precision. Its reporting capabilities are especially impressive, allowing us to generate detailed insights effortlessly. T.M.A.S. has helped streamline our operations, providing clear visuals and summaries that aid in decision-making. It’s reliable, efficient, and saves us significant time and effort. We highly recommend it to anyone needing a robust solution for managing visitor data and reporting needs!

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

One area for improvement with T.M.A.S. is the customization options within the reporting features. While the software provides great data insights, having a bit more flexibility to tailor reports to our specific needs could enhance its usefulness. Additionally, occasional delays in data syncing can happen during high-traffic periods, so optimizing real-time data processing would make it even better. Overall, these are minor adjustments in an otherwise very effective software!

We are using it for people traffic data. We have had other solutions but this one seems a bit more accurate.

**What do you like best about T.M.A.S.?**

Working with Sayantani has been great.  She is very knowledgeable and professional.  Every time I've had a question or a concern, she has been able to guide me through and help me resolve my issue.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

Because the 3D camera needs to be hard wired to the internet, it is not easy to complete this without have to hire a contractor to help with the installation.  This causes additional expenses that were not originally planned for.  It also causes delays in the set up.

Making sure we have the right reports and are using the software to it's capabilities.

There are a variety of reports that make compiling data for different uses easy. Reports are customizable and user friendly.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

We use the software to track people who enter or exit the building. Our reports tend to give back 0.5 counts, which makes our counts inaccurate.

**What problems is T.M.A.S. solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to track the number of people who enter or leave our building over various periods of time. This solves that problem in an easy way that gives us a fairly accurate count as opposed to estimating.

**What do you like best about T.M.A.S.?**

It is easy to install and use the numbers to get what you want very easily.  Like how it gets you hourly numbers so it helps with staffing for your business.

The only downside is remembering to put in new batteries.  Sometimes it is forgotten about and then you wonder why aren't we getting numbers and usually it because new batteries are needed.

Our pearl people counter was very easily installed and made operational, especially with the clear instructions provided. After a lot of research we found this to be the perect solution for our business. The readers being battery powered and having a descreet design is great. The software being able to track in and outs alone is worth every. Where TMAS really succeeds is the reporting and analytical software. This is incredibly helpful so we can recognize trends and prepare accordingly. The training was excellent and the customer success team was very helpful.

The training which is free and easily scheduled) is definitely needed. after the first training, TMAS seems a lot easier to use but at first its a bit hard to figure out the date ranges for running reports.

Lots of features and automations availalbe for monitoring the people counting at your building, as well as having reports automatically sent to you.

**What do you dislike about T.M.A.S.?**

The only thing I would suggest about TMAS is it's designed for use with complex systems with many levels of users, and for a company with a single site and only a few counters, it's a little complex to set up.

We previously had a manual people counter that had to be reset each evening, and had to be noted each evening by someone. This was ok, but if the system ever went down, or if the evening check didn't happen, or if someone didn't remember to reset the counter, we would have numbers that were off.

Our sensors occasionally record movement when we are closed, and I think it may be from activity happening on the other side of the glass doors.

As the manager of a municipal library, I am responsible for tracking the number of people through our facility for our annual report to the province. This information is also required when we have short term events, such as art exhibits, so the lending gallery knows the viewing. Libraries are consistently asked to prove usage levels to our municipal and grant funding partners. Having the ability to pull the numbers from the website means that my staff aren't spending time making tally marks, or clicking a hand held counter to get that information.

TMAS uses overhead video camera to capture a head count (literally), which we find to be significantly more effective than a typical door counter, which struggles with strollers and clumps of people (e.g. families that walk in lock step).
Their customer support is phenomenal, working with us to tweak the angles for optimal readings. Don't let the fact that they're in Canada weigh in the decision. They sent a local installer and have worked remotely to make this work so well for us! Also, it's very affordable!

Nothing to dislike. I had worried about distance for maintenance, but that wasn't an issue at all.

My one complaint is that the very first contact after purchase did not make clear the details of the physical installation of the device.  Specifically, I did not see any reference to the documentation for this process.  It may have been there, but it was not sufficiently conspicuous if it was there and as a result the device was not installed in the appropriate location, and, consequently, no data was available during our first training session.

I love the robust nature of the data that you are able to glean from the system. It can be used to analyze trends in your patronage, visit counts, and so much more.

I have not yet found anything about the system I dislike. It was easily installed and is easy to use. I had no real knowledge of how to run wires, but I was able to run a wire to the system and have it ready before calling for callibration.

If you are looking for people counting software, stop looking. This is exactly what you need.

We really needed to have an accurate account of how many people were coming to the library on a daily basis. We will utilize that data (along with trends) to help determine if our current hours of operation work well in the community or whether we need to alter those hours in some way. We will be able to make these changes with hard data instead of guessing.

What's best about TMAS is their customer service and its ease of availability to their clients.  I have had many occasions where I have to rely on CSR expertise.  Their staff is well-trained, patient, and thorough.

At times, I find the dashboard for their retail products to be a bit clunky.  It's difficult to find the ways to filter the enormous amount of data they provide.  It takes time to learn as it's not fully intuitive.

Know your facility, and what obstacles could exist prior to installation of any sensors.

My organization wanted to answer one simple question: how many patrons are entering the building, and when?  With TMAS, we were able to afford even more information than that.  What we've discovered is valuable as we plan and develop to improve our services.

We have been posting personnel to count visitors to various areas of the museum manually.  The count was then manually recorded on paper and had to be manually entered into a spreadsheet later.  Now, we pull up the app or login into the computer program and have visibility to visitor counts throughout the museum.  The tracking allows us to understand the flow of customers throughout the museum as well as times of visitations.
