Decent ERP if You Have The Expertise **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Jake M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2024 **What do you like best about Syspro?** SYSPRO is very customizable if you can find the documentation. **What do you dislike about Syspro?** I dislike their "API", which they call E.Net. I wouldn't call it a true RESTful API. The only HTTP requests E.Net accepts is a GET request with xml data appended to it. The documentation on it is very limited and hard to find. The system overall is just antiquated. I've built half a dozen integrations with the system and most of my development practice has been just trial and error since finding documentation has been so hard. Since it is a smaller ERP, the solutions for plug and play integrations with it are limited which has led us to just build our integrations in house. **What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?** SYSPRO is the brains of our operations. It allows us to keep track of inventory, sales, customers and provides the data for forecasting and reporting. ### 2. Keyboard shortcuts are inconsistent, both internally and with MS Windows. It is hard to get good consulation on how to use Syspro, especially from the engineering side of the program. There is apparently no way to attach documents to different objects (BoM, operations, stock codes, lots, etc.). **What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Syspro stores our BoM, manufacturing steps, and information for orderings parts. ### 3. Within my position, it's beneficial in allowing me to process dispatch and order notes. ### 4. I also enjoy the main screen with my favorites where I don't have to go searching for. **What do you dislike about Syspro?** It doesn't allow other systems plug into it. The other ones I use at work doesn't work together so I have to navigate between different system to do one job. **What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Where materials are located and in historical bins if I need to go track it down. It shows me when work orders are complete and if not what operation they are on. If I can not receive a work order I go in to see what materials are not being issued to the work order so I can fix that. If I need to know if we have certain materials in stock and/or when it is getting delivered. ### 5. I can customize which fields i need and get rid of the rest. I can customize color and font on each field description. **What do you dislike about Syspro?** It is hard to extract data for analysis purposes. Some of the business terminology is nothing that i have ever heard over my 40 years in the manufacturing industry. **What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?** I don't know whether the problems i deal with come from the software, or how my company has setup the software. ### 6. It's a 1997 Toyota Camry. Reporting is also poor, so we rely heavily on SSMS queries to pull data out of the system. **What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sales tax integration with Avalara works great, ACH payments module. ### 8. Issuing checks is easy **What do you dislike about Syspro?** I don't like that there isn't an easy way to view your old transactions, there isn't a user friendly way to look up detail of old invoices entered for payments or to apply a credit memo. There are so many steps to take before looking up information you need ex; GL codes/supplier names/numbers. There isn't a user friendly way to view your suppliers and the remittance detail. **Recommendations to others considering Syspro:** there are so many better products to use for accounting purposes. I would pick great plains/quickbooks over using syspro **What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?** None ### 9. SYSPRO is a little clunky compared to some competitors. **What problems is Syspro solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am solving everything from PO generation to inventory metrics. The benefits are the ability to easily export to excel and manipulate. ### 13.
